    Total Balance is a great place for wellness. All the staff I have had the pleasure to work with are friendly, knowledgeable, and client-oriented. Since September I have been working with John in group training sessions. I wanted to try to strengthen my leg muscles to avoid knee surgery. I have been so impressed with John as a trainer. Each of his classes have people of varying strengths, physical abilities, and limitations. John is well aware of the needs and goals of each individual in all of his groups. He challenges and makes modifications so each individual can be successful. I am so pleased with the physical gains I am making in John's classes.

    I enjoy working out here. The staff is all very kind and welcoming. My only complaint is the battery in the AED has been dead for awhile - so nobody is allowed to go into cardiac arrest here!

    Total Balance is the best place in Fargo/Moorhead for both physical therapy and as a general gym. All of the staff is so caring and helpful. The staff really cares about what is best for their clients and sees us as people and not just dollar signs.

    The progress through my physical therapy sessions is beyond my expectations. I had antipated it would be done in a few sessions for strengthening and toning. But Tyler's skill and knowledge of knee joint, muscle and tendon misplacement and the skills to correct the condition of my knee, has given me hope now that my knee range of motion is being restored. I highly recommend Total Balance and Fitness and Dr. Tyler Grothe.

    The physical therapists are exceptional. I have used them several times. The personal trainers and other staff are all great and so friendly. It is a very welcoming place.

    The pure amount of knowledge that I gain to support my health is worth everything. It helps me to buy-in. Each member of this staff that I’ve interacted with is so kind. My primary people that I’ve worked with is; Mark, DPT, Larae, and Nick B. I strongly suggest trusting these people with your health.

    We started working out with a personal trainer (John) 6 months ago. Initially sessions were hard for us but we got stronger every session and now are excited that we can do so much. They did an initial assessment that now when I look back on it, we can do so much more than we could then. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially John and Taylor. Thank you for making exercise enjoyable again.

    In mid-April of this year, I went to Total Balance for a fitness assessment with Taylor...which confirmed that I was neither fit nor balanced! Six months later, after attending 2x weekly group fitness classes with John I have lost weight, I am strong, my BP is down, and I have replaced body fat with muscle. In other words, I am healthier than I have been in years and I am SO HAPPY about it (and PROUD, too)! I highly recommend the entire team at Total Balance for their care and commitment to helping me reach my health and fitness goals. Every one of them is friendly and encouraging. But, especially John H. He makes sure our group has FUN each workout.

    PT Matt is the very best. He listens and adjusts our session to fit my abilities that day. I can feel the progress and have hope that my abilities will keep improving. Everyone is so nice; workers and clients. I just wish the stairs were not so steep to get to the walking track. I am optimistic I will get there.

    I am having physical therapy after total knee replacement surgery. the therapist is wonderful and has done a great job getting my mobility back. the gym which anyone can use is helpful too. the entire staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience!

    Very helpful staff!! Always greet you with a smile! Great one on one! If you have any questions about a sore muscle or just not sure how to do an exercise on one of the many machines just ask. Always there to help you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

    Total Balance North provides a great place to restore mobility and health. The PT that I work with provides many varying physical exercises that increase my mobility and reduce my pain . . . And not only that he truly cares about helping to restore my health.

    I fell on ice and got a slight concussion and whiplash. Mikaela worked with me on both conditions and I improved much quicker than I expected. Now she is helping me with balance and strength so I won't fall again. She is so kind and caring! I highly recommend her.

    I have been participating in the personal training program at Total Balance as well as worked with Mark for PT.. I was an athlete in high school but that was many years ago. It is amazing the difference when you have a Trainer who knows just what you need. I have worked mostly with Nate and John. There are both very experienced and have their own personal stories of challenges which makes them more understanding of your needs and difficulties. They have helped me get in shape for a trip to Australia. I will continue to work with them and look forward to a true life changing experience!! Thanks to Toylor for getting me started!

    I started Silver Sneakers at Total Balance about 1 year ago. It is a group class for us old people, and makes use of weight to increase mobility and balance. You do what you can. All the moves you could do at home, but will you? It meets 3 times a week. I also have had total access to the machines in the gym. Also I've recently had total knee replacement surgery and now am seeing PT Mickala. She is good at motivation and is helping me with flexion and extention. There is a walking track around the second floor level. This is a convenient place to work out in north Fargo.

😠 The fact that this place allows Jaclyn, the trainer, to stay employed is absurd. She threatens other staff members LIFE and nothing is being done about it. She makes out with CUSTOMERS in the back, but that’s fine too. I wouldn’t give this place the time of day. Go elsewhere.
