What can I say, I love this trail! If you buy a water suit you can easily find your way down to the river and walk up it. It's family friendly, clean, and a great way to burn some energy whilst catching up with a friend. There are many different entrances and it is wildly long! Each trail has color markers so that you can find your way back to the entrance you entered. I'd definitely recommend walking this trail at least once.

Wonderful trail of running streams and large hills, trees. Designed walking, jogging path of 8miles from one entrance to the last trail entrance of Trumball direction.

By and large our favorite place to explore in the Bridgeport, Trumbull area. You have the nice flat railroad bed walking/biking path on one side of this beautiful river and on the other your hiking/mountain biking trails. It’s a real gem and extends all the way to Indian Well Park. Nice parking lots on either end and plenty of access to river where you can sit and enjoy it up close.

This is mainly a rail trail and very easy to walk since it is completely flat. There are some side trails that a bit steep but easy to avoid. On the main trail there are benches every half mile if you need to take a break. This is a great park to go hiking if you are recovering from some form of injury.

1st time there. It was beautiful and very very clean. I went with my mountain bike and stuck to just the blue trail which follows the river. Excellent trails. More tech then downhill or single tacky where I was. Still, a great, quiet ride. I would recommend this area to mountain bikers, hikers and fisherman.

My favorite short hike around this area. This little forest is perfect for dirt bike riding, casual hiking, and very friendly with pets. You can hike down along the river or up by the overview of the highway is. As always, pick up after yourself!!

Great paved trails for those of us in a wheelchair, ample parking and history all rolled into one. Rough a picnic lunch for a quiet day walking around. Would be great if you have children to bring along, even a stroller would work well.

Walk (you and doggo), run, rec ride, or cross the river and ride some of New England's most varied Mt Bike trails in a single park (serious tech drops thru sand pits!). If you're going for a run, start in the parking lot of Tait Rd so that your return run is downhill-ish and fast! Training for a marathon, start there and run to Newtown and back for Your 20+ milers

I'm 68 years old now and I've been coming to Rails to Trails since I was 16. It is just a special place in all seasons of the year and autumn is especially beautiful. The Pequonnock River is great for catching trout and the wood and veery thrushes can be heard singing away every Spring. I recovered some of the old railroad spikes many years ago. Just a beautiful place to walk, jog, bike and rejuvenate.

Absolutely gorgeous, what a beautiful place to walk, jog and ride bikes. This place is so magical on its own I love it. Just always remember if you bring anything in please take it back out with you and if you come with nothing maybe on your way back out you can find something to throw out , so this wonderful trail can stay wonderful forever 🙏 Thank you and enjoy 🙏

A wonderful mixed use path made of crushed stone/packed dirt. The river runs in the valley down a long slope, with lots of cool little rapids and waterfalls. It seems busy, even on the off hours I've visited it, but people are respectful and biking is easy. Dont expect to ride fast because of all the walkers/dogs, but worth getting out there do explore.

I run here quite often. A hidden gem. Beautiful trail that is flat and wide so I don't feel in danger of getting hit by bikers. Nice benches mark half mile increments so you can sit. I love this place!
