As a professional dog walker working in Fairfield, I find this is the only designated park I enjoy taking both my own dogs and my clients dogs. There is plenty of “open space” within the park creating a feeling of freedom to pets that cannot be replicated in a simple fenced in area. This park has both wooded hiking trails as well as a central area for dogs to socialize and play yet not feel trapped within a small space. Incidents are rare and most everyone is mindful and alert to their dog. There is a very nice water fountain and plenty of dog bags for no cost. I highly recommend this park as a true treasure in Fairfield County.

The “dog park” has no fence to prevent dogs from running off. It has Post Rd. And Compo Rd on two sides and many dogs have run off and either were hit by cars or lost. There have been many dog owners in Westport who have asked the town to fence in a safe area but it falls on deaf ears.

decaying infrastructure, the grass is kinda sad in places, a shadow of what it was and could be. Like a lot of things here, to be honest. It's clear priorities are elsewhere but where those priorities are isn't clear either. warning for dogs that scare easily: a lot of people dont seem to notice the "all dogs must be on leash in this area" part of the park. it will not be safe for you dog. 3/5 stars. the drinking fountain has a foot level faucet for dogs, and it even works. -1 star for the AED station that's been empty for two years even when you call the number on it. I'm telling you, the town isn't thinking about the people. cool dogs though. i bet half of them cost more than my car.

My dog loves it here. Lots of people gather for off leash playtime and trail walking. Everyone has been friendly so far and the dogs have been well behaved. The park is huge with lots of trails. It feels safe to have my dog off leash which is nice. There's good coffee nearby at the Granola bar and plenty of parking.

A really lovely wooded off-leash area. My dog loved exploring all the trails and the stream was welcome for a cool-off and long drink. Although it isn't fenced in completely, there are enough natural and human made barriers that I felt my dog was safe, even without perfect recall.

Winslow is the classic dog park. You can't visit without a smile spreading across your face from the countless friendly visitors and their energetic puppers. There's quiet trails for walking and plenty of spots to sit and enjoy nature. The park also has some of the best sledding hills in town.

Plenty of room for dogs to run and for people to walk. Little creek in the back if dogs want a drink plus a water fountain for dogs in the warm season. An area away from the open field is for smaller dogs.

Walking loop with hills, lawns, bramble, a creek, around two hilly forested patches. Amiable dogs and owners hob nob and sniff one another in on-leash and off-leash areas. Please pick up your pets' deposits and all will be well. Room for ball playing, but also for the undisciplined dog to abscond, so consider your animal before unclicking the leash. If your dog steals other dogs' toys, consider keeping your animal under close watch and control. Your dog's obnoxious behavior wastes time and causes fights, Scout. The park is lovely in all seasons and weathers. Do not bring your pet after dark: coyotes have been sighted then.

Good place to take dogs. Both leash & off-leash areas. Most owners comply with leash rules.

I attended the Westport Dog Festival here which was very well-done. Parking could be a tad improved, but that's really it.

Beautiful park - great place to hang out with friends for some black-friday football and to take the pup out for a walk.

As dog parks go Windsor Park is one of the best parks in the area the park itself is beautiful and large and well manicured as well as the dog owners are responsible for the most part and generally speaking at a pleasure to bring my dog there. The park itself provides fresh drinking water as well as dog bags for picking up waste.
