I LOVE this shop. It’s e electric and inviting. There is a variety of different seating and tables so you can choose to enjoy your drink and food in the seating that best suits you. The teas and coffees are delicious. Try the date seed latte or the mint. You can’t go wrong, whatever you order will be delicious. The owner is super cool and I feel right at home. He has beautiful books that you can read while enjoying the amazing latte or chai. He also has smoothies, etc.

Best coffee shop I’ve been to in the area. Their Ethiopian coffee blends are super high quality, their chai lattes are awesome, and they have a small menu of tasty vegan food. Cute space, good WiFi, super friendly staff. Highly recommended

Order ice macchiato and cold brew, cold brew was strong and flavorful a little bit sour but disappear with sweet aftertaste. Machchiato was also good as well. I heard their famous drink is chia latte, would like to try it next time.

Stopped here for a quick coffee and snack. They have a really chill hippy vibe. The employee was nice. Nice selection of goods. Would come here again for a snack.

I just took my first sip. I've had coffee all over the world (literally) and this is the best tasting Americano/espresso I have ever had. I don't say that lightly. I don't think I've ever had a coffee that had such delicious notes. Amazing. I have to ask Blacki where it's from. Update to Zoomer slang: Blacki Bohemian is low-key goated in situations where the best coffee and chai you've ever had is the vibe. Update #2: Still the best café on the planet called Earth as of 12/5/22. 👽

I love Blackie and this cafe! I've been frequenting Bohemian House of Espresso + Chai for the past year and I truly recommend it to anyone wanting an authentic and quality meal/beverage. The Chai lattes here are fantastic and incomparable to the nearby cafes that offer Chai. I'm also a fan of their Camel Milk Cortado! You sure won't find that at any other shop in DTLA. Blackie is so welcoming and kind it's no wonder the crowd here likes to socialize and network. It's definitely a great pace to meet people too!

You never get a second chance to make a first impression. My friend and I are coffee lovers and stumbled upon this shop today, after discovering that 2 of our favorite neighboring coffee shops are no longer in business. First impression: framed photo celebrating Che Guevara and Fidel Castro displayed on the wall. We are both Latina who like to support local small businesses and were immediately taken aback by this. We saw the photo, looked at each other and proceeded to walk out. Personally, I was highly offended as my family is from Cuba and I know the atrocities of the Castro regime and Che Guevara's involvement. I won't get into a history lesson, but advise that people do their research and educate themselves. Based on the first impression, this place won't get a second chance from us, nor a first for that matter. The coffee could be the best coffee in the world, but there is no way that we would support a business that promotes these ideals. We decided to take our business elsewhere. Yep, preferred to give our hard earned money to Starbucks across the street. If you are a business that chooses to be political, at the very least you should consider which side of history you are celebrating. We're not easily offended, yet stepping into this place was just that -- offensive.

If you are looking for chai this is the place! The owner is incredibly kind and makes your drink exactly how you like it. Along with that, he grinds the spices for each chai fresh. This leads to some of the best chai I have ever had! While my friends and I were enjoying our drinks the owner also had time to give us a sample of his date seed latte, which I will be back for!

Amazing matcha! The best I’ve ever had. Owned by the sweetest people. And it’s such a vibe that invites you to relax, think, discuss, or find solitude.

This is one of my favorite coffee places. All of the servers and cashiers are extremely rad and nice. Their food and desserts are superb. I usually get the shakkerato, which is their iced coffee, reallyy good! If I'm in the mood for tea, their dragon well green tea is mildly bitter but really good as well.

I would probably say that this coffee shop is a must for coffee lovers! The service was good, and the variety of coffee and chai served in the ambiance was very satisfying. If you like your coffee shops, then this is a must-visit!

Spent a week out in LA and tried a ton of espresso— this place was so good I went there twice in one day! Best coffee I had in LA hands down. Had a brilliantly made cortado and came back for the super unique date seed latte. Shoutout to Blackie, made me feel super at home.

Skip the Starbucks across the street and have your mind blown by the tastiest dirty chai on the planet. No pre-mixes here, everything is homemade. You’ll be taken back by the wonderful smell of fresh herbs once you step inside Bohemian House. The owner Blackie was such a joy and graciously gave us a smoothie sample made of only fresh ingredients. Can’t wait to come back!

The chai latte is incredibly flavorful and satisfying, leaving a lasting impression. Despite the limited table availability, the charming, cute and adorable atmosphere of the place, with its bohemian-style decor, adds to its allure. The friendly staff members further enhance the experience. The owner, Jazzie, exudes kindness and is an exceptional conversationalist. Engaging in discussions with Jazzie adds an enriching element to the overall experience.   Additionally, the hummus wrap surpassed expectations. I'm eagerly looking forward to returning soon, soaking in the enchanting jazz vibes and relishing more of their delectable offerings.

Good coffee, friendly staff, atmosphere is ok. There is a very noisy fridge in the coffee shop (-) coffee is served in paper cups (-)

The interior of this place made it feel welcoming and the place was really clean. Very cute coffee shop overall. The smoothie was super good and the dirty matcha was good but would recommend for it to taste more like espresso.

So good! Dirty chai, cardamom date medidate coffee (a caffeine-free coffee-like beverage made of ground date seeds), and camel milk (yes it is) cortada. It's impossible to pick a favorite. All were amazing and I highly recommend. Their coffee is very very good. Okay, update. We went back!... for the matcha latte and spicy coffee. The matcha latte has a delicious mint flavor. Love the ginger bits in the spicy coffee. The drinks are unique and flavorful and well done. Excellent vibe. Couldn't be better. Feels like history, poetry, art, and community.

Best matcha latte I’ve ever had! I also got a chai while there because I had to try it- also amazing. Super cozy place with a friendly owner. Would definitely recommend and come again! They also had good WiFi and access to a power outlet.

The atmosphere alone is a win, but when it’s paired with Blackie’s hospitality, it’s on another level. This is a laid back coffee shop. He uses healthy ingredients. Listen, I don’t like matcha but he made me a matcha latte that was out of this world with oat milk that didn’t taste like liquid oatmeal. I’m telling you no spot in Los Angeles rivals his coffee shop.

I enjoyed eating breakfast in this shop! The coffee and the egg sandwich that I ordered was tasty and yummy. I thanked the waitress that served my order correctly and nicely. Also, I felt happy and delighted when I roamed my eyes and found out that the entire shop was clean, comfortable, and stylish. I loved this place so much. Thanks a lot!

It's wonderful! This coffee shop was a really nice spot indeed. They deserve really good scores. I need to get back here because it's a nice one. They are trying to provide us with the best service that exceeds our standards. From the beginning to the end of the day, I was extremely grateful to visit this location. Looking forward to more clients in the future.

Wonderful spot for coffee! I tried their Autumn Exclusive: Pumpkin Cinnamon Matcha Latte, and it's hands down the most delightful Matcha I've tasted. Definitely worth a visit.

Ordered a cappuccino, but it had very thick foam, was so hot that I burned my tongue, and honestly wasn't very good. Ended up tossing it away and searching for a different place.

If you are out for coffee or tea and want to try something different, then just standard Starbucks. I would highly recommend it. Owned by a kenyan person who is friendly and humorous. Place serves palatable coffee and teas and has tasty cinnamon bread

Great artsy vibe, with a day book of wonderful Rumi poetry in the middle of the room, plus Camel Milk Cortado was perfect. Save the place and experience the Exotic with Camel Milk!

I got a latte that was SO GOOD it transformed my entire day. The man behind the counter was the sweetest, kindest and most interesting person I have met in a long time. This is now my favourite coffee place in downtown by a wide margin.

I was in L.A for a week and just so happened to be staing at an Airbnb across the street from this gem! The owner made us the most AMAZING Chia and also let us tase the MediDate coffee (date see coffee). The space, the service, the coffee, the owner.. Everything was amazing! We went back the day before we left and I also bought a bag of the MediDate coffee which is caffiene free and simply amazing! I will go back to visit everytime I'm in L.A

What a wonderful coffee shop and what a lovely person Blackie is. Smoothie was to die for and the coffee with camel milk was awesome. You walk in and you instantly feel welcome. Loved the decor! Thank you Blackie and thank you for being a great friend to Marz! ❤️

Establishment for an amateur. Small, cramped space. The only thing I liked more or less was the music. The surroundings are generally good, but the overall impression is ambiguous. I don't want to come back for the second time.

One of the best locally owned little coffee shops in all of downtown. Tons of awesome art and books to read and see, some pretty awesome antique technology to admire, and he makes a hell of a cup of coffee, tea, and chai. Also a black owned business so absolutely worth supporting.

He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and such an amazing guy to communicate with. Visit this place and look for him. Thank you very much, Alex.
