The Red Dot is an amazing hidden gem! The food is absolutely fantastic and you can tell it is prepared with care and love. We will be recommending this to all of our acquaintances! (And on a more helpful note, there is both indoor and outdoor seating, portions are large, and the flavor is on point!)

Utterly AMAZING food. Yes, you may wait, but understand why.....it is all made to order, totally fresh, and it's a small place with a big following. Rest assured it will be worth any wait you may encounter. The family that owns it are wonderful and go out of their way to make your experience enjoyable. You do not need to be vegan or vegetarian to savor over their fantastic food, but if you are this is a MUST!

This place is a little jewel in the middle of the mountains. The food here is incredible. There are many Indian restaurants that do similar dishes but I have never been to one that does them so well. The flavors are complex and rich. The food is made from scratch and with tremendous dedication so that every pakora is perfectly crisp, every bite is bursting with many notes of different herbs and spices. It's hard to imagine the chef, Harman isn't in a Michelin star restaurant in New York or Los Angeles. The staff at the restaurant all seem to share the same dedication to the food and making everyone feel welcome and appreciated. I love this place.

An Indian cuisine oasis in the most unexpected location. Take the time to unwind from the 5 grind , exit the freeway to drive up a few miles to this jewel. Break out of the ordinary and experience extraordinary. Never had an Indian breakfast? Me neither! Everything from the location, view , Ambiance, service, music and food exceeded my expectations. Take a moment, take a breath, put down your phone and submerge yourself in the moment.

My sister bought me here, but not without warning me that they are not for fast food. The food was amazing though, well worth the wait. I had Thai Coffee (they were out of boba). The menu is extensive. It’s more of a magazine. I hope to go back (with a lot of time), and try more dishes.

There are quite many Indian restaurants around LA and the Bakersfield region but not many can maintain quality with generous portions. Amazing location between mountains with a comfortable setup and light music. An easy detour of a few miles from US 5. Have been a visitor since 2019 every time I am traveling on US 5 between LA(or SD) and SF. Have enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner without any disappointment. Duration: MOST OF THEIR PREPARATIONS ARE FRESH AND FROM SCRATCH. The food tastes amazing. However, the preparation also takes some time. Be prepared to spend at least an hour depending on the dish. Tip: If you are running short of time, give them a call 30-45 min before your arrival and they will have dishes prepared for dine-in or takeaway. (We called them at 6:30 am and breakfast was ready when we reached 7 am). Some of the food recommendations: 1. Bread pakora (a must) 2. Samosa 3. Savory pancake (too good) 4. Soya chaap (hidden gem) Last but not least, the friendly and cheerful staff!

I found this amazing place on my way to Los Angeles. The food was prepared fresh and delicious, with care. Unlike other restaurants that serve premade food, they cook from scratch when you order. Just make sure you call and order at least an hour ahead to give them time to prepare your food. We ordered Pakora and Red Elixir for starters. Vegetarian Thaali and Saag Paneer for the main course. It was so good. They serve good portion sizes. The staff are friendly. A lovely hidden gem in a national forest, with beautiful mountain views. I will make sure to stop here the next time I make the drive to LA.

We weren't too hungry, but saw this inviting restaurant along the road in Frazier Park and decided to get something light. We were immediately captivated by the atmosphere and the staff. The menu was so extensive that we had a hard time deciding. We shared a fresh salad and Mongolian Stir Fry, along with a Mango Lassi, all delicious. It was so good and the people so nice, that we decided to return the following day for breakfast and takeout for lunch. We highly recommend this restaurant.

This is an eclectic little restaurant that feels so cozy and welcoming. The menu was extensive, as a vegetarian I was honestly overwhelmed by the number of delicious options. The food did take a little while to come out, because it was all made fresh and it was well worth the wait. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through the area.

It seemed pretty busy when I arrived. I waited an hour for my food to come out, but honestly It was the closest healthy spot around and it was definitely worth the wait. I’d consider this place a hidden gem for sure! Chocohini smoothie: Creamy thick Chocolate smoothie taste, sooooo delicious I’d order again! Beet juice: perfectly delicious Added ginger to it. Perfect for some nutrition and an upset stomach. The garlic naan: doughy, fluffy, and perfect. The tofu curry: delicious! I’d definitely order this again. Especially when you have some leftovers :) Mmmmm mmmmm Indian savory pancake I feel it was missing something. It was okay :) It was definitely a savory pancake haha. I would not order again though. The lentil soup was a bit bland but good. Nice and hot!

It can be difficult to find good food on your journey down the grapevine. The Red Dot will make you happy and grateful that the winding road took you through this part of California! This place is an absolute gem. Well worth the 4 minute detour from the highway! The food was spectacular-you simply can’t go wrong. Healthy, hearty, and bursting with flavor, everything we had was exceptionally delicious. The wait can be long so call and order ahead, they’ll have it ready for you when you arrive. Don’t expect anything fancy from the atmosphere, though the decor is genuine, authentic and warm: a mixture of traditional Indian decor with American seasonal trinkets and lots of interesting house plants nursing their way through the winter season. The staff is so kind and the food is clearly prepared with all the love and care they describe on their website. Worth a stop on your way in or out of LA!

Stopped here on our way home during the holidays and it was incredible! Fantastic food and service. Everything is made from scratch so there is a little bit of a wait but it is definitely worth it!

Great place for fusion asian food. We had the pakodas which were very well prepared and generous in quantity. Also ordered main course which we had to get packed because they have big portions. Loved the service and would recommend the place for food and ambience.

This restaurant is a total gem!! After hiking all day, my friends and I needed FOOD and The Red Dot delivered!! Huge portions of incredibly tasty nums! The menu is varied so that everyone in your party can find something they like. We shared a ginormous order of pakora (battered and fried veggies in a sweet chili sauce) which was incredible. I ordered Tikka Masala Curry with veggie chik'n which was out of this world. Everything here is incredible ~ this is a don't miss! I wish there was a The Red Dot by my house....

We found a hidden gem. Although there was a bit of a wait for the food, it was worth the wait. The food was delicious, healthy, generous portions and the staff were lovely too. We would defiantly come back again.

We stay in the hotel near the restaurant and this was one of the best dinners we ever had on a road trip. The beef less bulgogi mild version, the red dot pizza and the custard for dessert were incredible. Highly recommended if you pass near, don't miss it!

Stopped here on our way to camping at Reyes Creek Campground midday Saturday. We ordered the bread pakora, pancakes and french toast. Everything was large portions, very delicious and ordered vegan (preference). Wait can be long but definitely worth it. We'll be coming back!

OMG!! Life is so full of serendipity and finding the Red Dot is part of living our life. Wow such a treat. Upon stepping inside, I could immediately feel that this would be special, and it was. Robyn’s service was gracious and attentive. The food was so infused with taste any goodness, nothing left on my plate. We will be back. Now we know there is an oasis in our journey from Northern to Southern California, and back.

Flavorful food and generous portions. We had the super oatmeal, waffles, German breakfast, and also vegetable pakoras. The oatmeal is really good, sweet and savory, very different from quick oats. The pakoras were similar to veggie tempura but there might have been curry in the batter and it was served with a sweet tomato chutney. Family sized for sharing and very good.

The definition of a whole in the wall hit new meaning here. This eatery holds five stars plus in my book. When you enter the modest building, it is as if you just accessed an ashram. We arrived after hundred miles galloping a Diavel, we were spent on arrival. The waitress peaceful smile gave me a feeling of confidence that we were on a culinary ride of our life! The menu selection was mind-bending, how they can provide such a rich selection for such small town is a mystery to us. We were not that hungry, however we devoured every dish served just to taste. If you appreciate food that is served fresh and delicious, you must STOP! Thank you for an unforgettable culinary adventure :)
