Lacking amenities. No fridge, microwave or small little “store” to buy things like Tylenol (even “cheap” hotels have this!) and no pool. Gym is very small and parking is expensive and the lot gets full quickly so then you have to park 2 blocks away. The hotel has fancy art and a big lobby…so what. For a “luxury” hotel, I’m not sure what is “luxury” about it besides the art…? The lights in the bathroom go off constantly (even if you are moving around in the shower) so that’s fun. The walls are thin — woke up to our neighbor snoring last night and can hear him right now as I’m writing this. The only positive is it’s close to the UCLA medical facilities.

To be clear, this hotel is only getting 4 stars from me because I love the staff (Milton, Michael, and Jeremy particularly). Like, “love, love,” as in not dissimilar to Kate’s affection for Leo amidst the sinking Titanic (overly dramatic? I’ll leave that to the reader). When Milton said goodbye because he wouldn’t be there the last two days of our stay (his off days), I was genuinely sad. He’s a delightful person and spectacular at his job (not good, not great, spectacular, which is better than good and great). When I discovered the rooms don’t have a refrigerator included (you can pay a small fee for one), Michael went out of his way to get one very quickly and even called to ensure it was delivered. Jeremy had to put up with us on several matters and was always accommodating and clear. Now, the hotel. It isn’t terrible generally, and I admit that my annoyances have mostly to do with my situation specifically, but— no fridge without a fee (as mentioned previously), no microwave (on the property), no door on the shower (like, they were purposefully designed without a door). I could go on but this review is lengthy as it is (you are very welcome for breaking it into small, manageable paragraphs). I’m a bodybuilder, so the microwave situation was….not good. There was some sorcery going on in that room. In the end, I was able to tell my coach in good conscience that I did my best to stay on plan (shout out to Starkist chicken packs and Crystal hot sauce). I’ll not address the lack of shower door. In summary: Staff: 5 stars Hotel: 3 stars TOTAL = 8 stars Average = 4 stars (Is the math above at all reasonable? Doubtful, but it is how I reached 4 nonetheless.)

A good hotel, but you have to make sure that they don’t give you the room that is near the gym, that place is open 24 seven and people can be banging weights and making noise and laughing like if you had them inside your room. Plus, they would charge for the full night like if you had a good night sleep. I totally disappointing experience, other than that, it could be a good place if the people at the front desk were honest to you during the checking… I wasn’t that lucky

Stayed here for a work trip, very nice interiors, good location on campus and great food/lots of vegetarian options and very healthy which doesn't happen for work trips/conferences and hotel based meals. My only issue was we booked an all day conference and they put us right by the field which played loud music throughout the day for band and football practice which made it hard to hear presenters at times. Additionally the AV equipment was damaged and we had to reset the room during the lunch break which was less than ideal but overall it was an easy conference center to use for our business meeting.

Superb hotel right on UCLA campus that is both dog and Tesla friendly! Amazing that a hotel of this calibre accommodates dogs and does it so well. Four EV charging spots in the underground garage that always seemed to be available and provided free unlimited charging. Hotel restaurant was great and service was top notch. Best of all you're right on campus for walks and easy driving access to the best spots. Could not have been better.

Hotel and rooms are clean. Our room was in a main location near the elevators so we could hear the door banging in the middle of the night from other inconsiderate guests. Parking overnight is $35/night. The tv service is limited, so you're better off signing into Netflix/your own tv service.

I had a wonderful experience here. I stayed here for a work conference, and everything was wonderful. The hotel provided food that was excellent. In particular, I would like to commend an employee named Sam, who served us food. He was exceptionally kind and made it a great experience. I had to leave and reenter the event multiple times with my baby, and he made sure I had everything I need, and even found me in the hall to let me know when my food was ready. Truly a wonderful experience-he deserves a raise! Thank you for keeping wonderful staff on hand that made staying here a great experience. Thank you Sam!

By far the best service we’ve had at any hotel. It wasn’t just one employee who was nice but all the employees who helped us out were exceptional. I definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting UCLA or the Beverly Hills area. The restaurant was amazing and great food too. 10/10!

The service at the hotel was top-notch. Most helpful crew in the hospitality industry. The area was safe, the rooms were clean, and all of the art on the walls had a meaningful purpose.

The hotel is primarily intended for university and business for casual meetings, formal conferences, summits, symposiums etc. The rooms are missing refrigerators and other generic amenities found in other hotels nearby. Excellent for sleeping, comfortable bed, clean cushions and quiet AC and exhausts FD fans. It's situated in front of Henry Samuali engineering school in a student-heavy area around the UCLA campus, with theaters & casual eats in historic Westwood Village.

This is a truly spectacular hotel. The staff is incredibly helpful, which may have something to do with the fact that many are hospitality school students. But honestly, the service and accommodations were better than one would typically expect from a business hotel. Of course, if you have something to do at UCLA, you really can't beat the location

Always clean rooms, and staff are very willing to assist The waters in the room, toiletries in the restroom and coffee provisions are always welcome. They do not have microwaves or refrigerators but they do have an on-site restaurant. Also close to other eateries that will deliver. Definitely a pleasure to stay here

Luskin Conference Center is a very comfortable hotel; it's like a museum, with displayed artworks in the hallways and a general relaxed atmosphere. Due to its location within the UCLA campus, it is very easy to access and tour campus by foot. Most importantly, the quality of the hotel staff is excellent. Joseph, in particular, has helped me on so many occasions. He was incredibly patient and willing to assist me with several accommodations and arrangements. Although there is another great place to stay within UCLA, I highly recommend this hotel, albeit being slightly more expensive.

The hotel is nice, the rooms are nice, but the walls are too thin. You can hear the guests talking in the room next door. Very expensive with no complimentary breakfast. The hotel staff and restaurant staff are nice, but the menu was limited and chicken salty and overcooked.

Truly a hidden gem. We stay here every time we are in LA. Very large, comfortable, clean rooms with large spacious bathrooms. I always find the rooms to be nice and quiet. Security key card access for parking garage and all elevators. Staff efficient and gracious. Restaurant has wonderful food and service. Great meeting and lounge spaces. A+++++ all the way around.

The conference center is really a lovely venue for a meeting, whether small or large. The formal spaces are wonderful and the small nooks allow for in between conversations. The terrace is another great space for receptions. The food is always delectable, and the staff are always helpful. Location is in the middle of UCLA campus. Has underground parking for non-UCLA visitors.

I was offered a couple of nights lodging at the UCLA Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference Center. When David, with the inside-scoop mentioned that it was 'Swank', I of course decided to give it a try. Google maps directed me into the loading dock at first, until I was able to discover the Guest Parking, located beneath the building, accessible via a down-ramp that is adjacent to the guest drop-off / pick-up zone loop. The lobby is modern, warm, spacious with paneled details interspersed and appointed with gracious textures. The lobby has several work station areas available for guests. I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff, with comprehensive health safety protocols. The room was easily accessible from the security room-key enabled elevators. Echoing the modern motif, the room was tidy, with entry table, wardobe (with safe), integrated dresser, counter, desk & work chair, and large HDTV along the long wall, a comfortable reading chair, and king sized bed with side tables, opposite. Numerous and well placed light fixtures facilitated getting comfortable. The bathroom is spacious with large lovely border-lit mirror and walk-in shower. The room was quite quiet :-) ...Thanks so very much for the ample hospitality and attention to detail...Thanks David, all of my 'Swank' expectations have been exceeded!

4-Star prices with dorm-type of service. This hotel is clearly clearly unchallenged from a location standpoint. As a result it doesn’t seem to be very demanding with its staff nor does the management feel they have to go the extra mile on services. We’ve been woken up every morning by the housekeeping staff who doesn’t see the point of working quietly in the hallways at 7 or 8am. The service offer is very constrained with breakfast no longer served after 10am on Sundays and room service being completely shut down after 10pm, even if you’re just asking for standard drinks. I guess that because we’re on a campus, we got a lesson in economy on why monopolies are not great for quality of service…

Best hotel by far during our US trip. Extremely nice staff at check-in. Very good rooms and service. Walking distance from Westwood village. Just a great place. Best of all: tip free environment!!! Also puts restaurant prices in perspective!!! Only missing thing: fridge in rooms Total recommendation for any LA stay!

I greatly appreciated the hotel that I stayed for a couple of days. They have a perfect and world-class area that could make you calm and comfortable. Everything they’ve done for me was worth it and excellent. I’m overwhelmed with the outstanding treatment and facilities they have. The pictures posted on the internet was truly accurate and right. I would surely rate them with five stars. From the bottom of my heart, I’ll recommend their excellence to my friends.

The room was dimly lit, and despite having three people staying, only two bottles of water were provided. The most concerning issue was that, although someone took the tips we left, nothing was cleaned the next day. The trash can was full, and the room remained unchanged from the previous day. Overall, not recommended.

This is a convention center space. It is not a hotel and I don't know why. Google is prompting me to give a hotel room review. But, it is new. The conference rooms are spacious. Acoustically friendly and well done. Restrooms are clean and bright and spacious. Lots of room to walk around. Lots of areas for the catering to be served

Love this place. Modern and well appointed. Super clean and nice. Superb staff. Super friendly front desk on day one. The outside breakfast/restaurant area is just lovely and food has been great. The art by UCLA affiliated artist is amazing. - only down-side is the "gratuity-free encironment" . I love to tip and differentiate great from lousy service. This new approach to enumerating staff has not been thought through. We will end up with the quality of service you get in Germany, Switzerland or France, where staff doesn't give a flip because there is no need to establish a personal relationship or provide excellent service to get paid. At that point, a robot will do.¹

Made an impromptu reservation due to a mishap at a nearby hotel. The staff was so incredibly kind and accommodating. They really make you feel like a VIP. The room was so clean and quiet, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was perfect - so so chill and peaceful. Highly recommend for anyone taking the California bar exam at UCLA.

Overall pretty nice conference center hotel. For a 4 star hotel, it was missing a few amenities such as a mini fridge and slippers. I stayed 6 nights for a conference and not having a mini fridge was a bit of an inconvenience. Also all the doors seem to slam when you close them so it was a bit difficult to sleep if your neighbors are constantly opening and closing their doors.

Great hotel. Amazing location on campus. Once my flight was canceled and I couldn't get in till the next day. I forgot to call in and my reservation was canceled as no show. But when I arrived, the person at the front desk was able to find me a room at the same rate I had booked. Very nice sraff. Clean rooms. One thing to note:if you are taking uber or lyft, it takes time. It took me 20-30 min to get one.

  • 1/5 Christine L. 1 year ago on Google
Booked this room for same day check in and realized it was too far from where I needed to be within five minutes and when I tried to call back to cancel, they refused to give me my money back because it was less than 24 hours from check in even though I had literally just booked it five minutes before. Makes absolutely no sense other than greed.

Very nice hotel with great service. A relaxation oasis in LA with high quality rooms and good prices.

The hotel staff, decor/art, parking, hotel location, and the accommodations in general were absolutely stellar! Warning- if you need to sleep past 7am, make sure to request a room away from the football practice field as there is booming/blaring music very early. The staff kindly/promptly relocated me even though I was checking out at noon. I greatly appreciated their care/hospitality/professionalism.

One of our favorite hotels! I would give it ten stars if I could. My husband and I stay at Luskin at least once a week for work. The hotel has become our second home. Upon arrival, we are always welcomed with warm smiles by the staff. The hotel, art, restaurant, and location make Luskin the perfect stay; however, what makes Luskin even more remarkable is the staff. The staff is friendly, kind, and accommodating. The superstars who always go out of their way to make our stay wonderful are Mirian and Lettie. They are incredibly kind, considerate, and professional; our experience would not be the same without them. It’s because of them that we feel at home. Thank you, Luskin Conference Center, for your excellent service. We look forward to seeing you next time.

This place is a gem on the UCLA campus, ten minutes away from Royce hall. We didn’t come for a campus tour but to watch a concert and stayed for the night. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. There’s a bar/restaurant downstairs, Plateia. The lobby has a nice lounge area surrounded by well curated art. The architecture and landscape of this building are just beautiful. Will be coming back!

Great stay! A welcome kit for my dog, comfy bed, nice clean room, parking a bit pricey but super convenient. Awesome atmosphere with open architecture, nice UCLA campus location.

There was a noisy customer next to my room and I was having a hard time sleeping. I went to the reception and asked for room change. Although it was busy, Zena was able to find me a different room within minutes. Great service.

Freezing! They have walls of accordion doors that they would not close for some reason. Also, it’s incredibly loud. Finally, the staff could not have been more unfriendly. I definitely will not be staying here again.

My besties and I booked a room here for a relaxing gals week, but the whole hotel was surrounded by fencing! It felt like we were in jail! There were security guards everywhere and we were harassed trying to get to our room. They didn't believe we were guests! There were loud protesters everywhere and someone was attacked in the lobby. Sad. Would not recommend.

Amazing, well designed, classy hotel with new and clean rooms, everything is well maintained, very spacious, good gym, excellent location - one of the best we stayed during our trip to the US. During check-in, we understood at the reception that we deserved free parking, and upon departure, we were informed that we had to pay $32 for each day of parking...(overall it cost us another 98$+)

To put the conclusion first, this hotel is a hidden gem. I stay here every week for work and can say without hesitation you'd be hard-pressed to find a hotel this nice for anywhere near the price point in this area. There's no pool or spa facilities, and it's only self-park...but otherwise it's comparable to any Hilton or Marriott. The lobby is spacious, beautiful, and has fantastic UCLA-connected art. Adjacent is the Plateia bar/lounge/restaurant with reasonably priced cocktails and wine (by LA hotel standards), and delicious if slightly overpriced food. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The staff is friendly and accommodating across the board. My only complaint is there are some consistency and detail issues here. A lightbulb that's gone out, a broken shelf in the shower, missing robe, etc. These are easily fixed but should truthfully be spotted before a guest checks in. You're close to much but not really walking distance to anything aside from the UCLA campus. Give this place a try if you're in the area!

Staff is super friendly every time we have stayed there. It is very convenient to get to the medical center and you can walk to many food locations. Parking is a bit pricey but so is most of the parking in the area. Wifi is strong and the desk is good to work at with plenty of light in the room. The only complaint I have is that every room I have stayed in the sink drains slowly but oh well

  • 5/5 Jennifer C. 1 year ago on Google
Exceptional! The hotel is very clean and modern, and all the staff are very nice and helpful, but most of all, it's the most dog-friendly hotel we've ever stayed at. We were surprised by the doggie gift bag as soon as we checked in. They also offer dog meals cooked fresh by their restaurant. Our dog was so spoiled!

I had an appointment at UCLA for a serious medical condition and chose to stay at the Meyer Luskin because it was close. I had no idea how amazingingly beautiful and comfortable the hotel is. We stepped out if my vehicle at the bell desk and the young lady there had a tiny squirrel approach her and she gave it a cracker...It was like a fairy tale. The lobby was stunning, it was open and welcoming. The art and sculptures throughout the hotel were pretty and classy. Our room was clean and sooo welcoming. We were tired and hungry from the long drive from Las Vegas so we chose to order room service from the restaurant downstairs called Plateia. When I say the food was exquisite, it is an understatement...It was not only spectacularly delicious, but it was plated so beautiful and appealing. We felt like true VIPs. It was sooo good that we ordered room service from them for breakfast as well... The staff were all wonderfully nice and genuine. It was truly a fantastic experience when I was there for such a serious and stressful medical issue. I couldn't have found a more comfortable place.

The conference center - Very good, full facilities and convenient. Can accommodate many people. The hotel - Clean and comfortable. Good service. The room is quite large and quiet. Mini coffee bar inside the room. Iron and board are available. But no refrigerator. The price was acceptable. Gym and fitness in the third floor. Small bar with many craft beers and liqueur at the lobby.

Hotel charges you $300/night or more, but closes it’s only restaurant from 10am-11am. Staff will defensively tell you that they “we need to go on break” - which is obvious - but how many hotels with the capacity of hundreds of rooms will not stagger staffing shifts within their only restaurant?…..
