Being
in
the
midst
of
a
pandemic
with
a
new
puppy
has
been
both
great
and
challenging.
Luckily
(so
we
thought),
we
had
a
local
Petco
in
our
area.
Unfortunately,
we
were
sadly
mistaken.
For
a
bit
of
context,
our
puppy
is
a
large
breed
(Newfoundland),
so
when
taking
him
for
his
first
grooming
appointment
we
expected
that
the
professionals
there
would
handle
or
be
able
to
handle
his
grooming
and
care.
We
booked
an
appointment
three
weeks
in
advance
(a
Sunday),
and
we
received
a
call
the
day
before
that
his
appointment
needed
to
be
changed.
After
several
phone
calls
and
waits
on
hold,
we
finally
spoke
the
grooming
sector
and
they
"graciously"
allowed
us
to
keep
our
pet's
appointment.
Needless
to
say,
it
wasn't
a
great
experience.
Feeling
optimistic,
we
booked
again,
imagining
a
better
experience.
Sadly,
we
were
mistaken.
We
booked
an
appointment
on
6/9/21
for
6/30/21.
Fast
forward
to
6/30/21
and
we
receive
a
call
that
not
only
should
we
move
our
appointment
forward
2
hours,
they
demand
we
do.
Being
that
we
had
both
scheduled
according
to
our
work
schedules
(as
people
do)
we
couldn't
change
the
appointment.
Within
30
minutes
of
dropping
our
pup
off
we
received
a
call
that
our
dog
"does
not
like
the
blow
dryer
but
we
could
reschedule
to
have
him
washed
and
sit
in
a
cage
until
he
was
dry
enough
to
come
home".
While
that
might
suffice
in
another
scenario,
he
had
been
there
once
before
and
come
home
perfectly
dry!
All
of
this
to
say,
we
immediately
told
this
"groomer"
that
we
would
pick
our
pet
up
and
please
send
him
home!
I
would
advise
those
looking
for
a
groomer,
look
elsewhere!!

pet
will
thank
you
