I came two days ago and them burgers were hitting so good & the workers were so nice and patient. I just seen them other reviews like no this is a 5 star experience I had, like how can milkshake even be melted? Yes I’m throwing shade. These workers need a raise idc!! They working their a$$ off !!!!

I am not typically one to write bad reviews, but I am thinking that management would want to know about this experience. We were in from out of town and I was excited to try Shake Shack for the first time. We just started getting locations in my city and I have heard it is excellent. We went to this location late in the evening on 4/16. The computers for ordering were left on all the way up until close and this was the source of the problem. Workers began closing early and became verbally frustrated with the customers still waiting on their food. An employee started mopping the floors without wringing it out, leaving large amounts of standing water on the floor without wet floor signs. Moving around was very difficult. The same employee said the bathroom was closed and another overheard and said it was fine. When we received our food, my significant other checked our bag because we overheard other customers getting frustrated they were being told various items were “out” after the receipt was paid and they had waited on the food. It was clear the employees had shut down various equipment and had no interest in turning anything back on. The same was with our order so she said something. The employee quickly snapped at her and began speaking very disrespectfully. Upon hearing this another customer who was also spoken to in appropriately stood up for my significant other and things spiraled from there. The verbal altercation turned into physical and it appeared a brawl was beginning. I saw at least one punch thrown and we quickly exited the restaurant to safety. All in all this was a very poor representation of the Shake Shack chain, and a very bad first experience for us.

This was my first time at the Dupon Circle location and I went for the White Truffle Menu Fine Dining Experience. The food was Hella yummy (the shroom burger is the best!) And the service was extra awesome! There was a "fine dining" white linen tablecloth Experience to roll out the white truffle menu. It was fantastic and I'm extremely glad that I went! Go there. The food is yummy and the people are great

First time here and didn't really know what and how to order lol but the cashier helped us out she was amazing , little bummed that i didn't catch her name 😩 but she was So friendly and super helpful but that's just the beginning! The food was great didn't need to add any extra condiments, how ever the cashier showed us where everything was in case we needed it. Oh and try the lemonades they're so good 🤤 The place was really clean, the bathrooms were clean as well and didn't need a code to open up yay 🙌🏼 you can tell the employees enjoy working there because the way they treat the customers. Very happy with our visit, kids approved and we definitely recommend it and if we are ever in town again we will stop by!

Burgers are great! I love how they are cooked, and they are one of the best tasting burgers out there. The staff is very polite and friendly.

Like the chill music for a quick stop for a milkshake burger or anything fast to get like the picture displayed. Restaurant is clean for a fast food restaurant

Came here for their milkshakes, which didn't disappoint. Had the malt and strawberry milkshakes, which I would recommend trying

Not your typical fast food resturant. It's definitely a step above that. Food was good and fresh to order. Kinda expensive but that seems to be how things are nowadays.

It is always busy at this location. My order takes about 25 minutes. The shroom burger is good.

This is mid. The waiting time was very long for a fast food burger. The prices seem cheap at first but then you see the serving size for some of the items and realize why. Food didn't taste bad but not great either. You should probably only eat here if you have no other cheap options nearby.

Tried my old favorite for the first time in more than 10 years. It was crowded with young people and the wait was relatively long. The patty was a bit burnt and less juicy than it used be. It used to be that with each bite into the burger, flavor of meat spread throughout the mouth. But this time around it was less satisfying.

I ordered shake burger wrapped in lettuce, when I received the burger lettuce was rotten. I hope DC Division of Food will check this place again!

Went there with family & order our food. One of the children hot dog was a little bit over cooked. We told the Manager and she apologize for that, got for us another well done and treat the kids nicely. Thank you

Bad showing for a normally good spot. Mushy burger, not a lot of condiments, two sad slices of onions that are way too thick. Great service but I guess the busy kitchen makes them lose quality.

If you have celiac or a gluten allergy, please do not go here. I would say I've requested a gluten free bun 8 times at this location, and every time it has been a normal one. I've been to other locations where they do pay attention and accommodate gluten free buns on the burgers. You pay extra for a "gf bun" while you are being ripped off-- even when if you specifically mark that you have a gluten and wheat allergy/sensitivity. To whoever manages the store, please stop offering gluten free buns if you are continually making people sick.

We went to ShakeShack recently with my family and mom. My kids have allergies, and Antoine and a co-worker were great about making sure that the food we ordered had no allergens. When the food was brought to us, we realized that we were missing one order of fries. Even though they had not charged us for this, Antoine got us the fries and said it was on him! Later, as we were leaving with my mom (in a wheelchair), Antoine held the door open for us and wished us a good day. We all felt he had done a great job, so kudos to him. We would love to go back there the next time we go downtown.

Great location right on DuPont Circle, the restaurant is clean, the staff is very friendly and the burgers are delicious. If you want to eat in, they only have counters with high chairs, but that works

My first time at a Shake Shack. First of all, beautiful-walkable part of DC. Second, they have kiosk ordering which is fantastic for a first timer- you can explore the menu freely. Third, the restaurant inside was really nice, clean. Busy, but doing a great job. The staff was on point. Kudos to them. Last, and most importantly- the food was delicious. Simple, clean, tasty, hot, good. I had the standard SS burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a unique Mayo. It was so good. We also got a Bourbon Bacon Burger and spicy crinkle cut fries. Only complaint was the LG fries were smaller than expected. The deliciousness, crispness of them made up for the quantity. Bottom line, if you are nearby this location- you should absolutely stop by for a burger. I’m a huge Shake Shack fan now. Thank you to the employees of this location for a fantastic lunch!!

We didn't get everything we ordered. Since we had the food delivered rather than eating in, we called the restaurant to address the problem. They didn't answer the phone. We left a message. To no one's surprise, they didn't call back. While the food was good, I wouldn't recommend this Shake Shack.

Despite the hell of Friday night halloweekend, they put out fast as it came in. Keeping the place clean and calm. PLUS i screwed up and left for 10 minutes to grab a friend and missed my order. Not only did they not give me hate for it, they REMADE the order and added a FREE fry just so it was fresh. So nice!!

The shroom burger is amazing!!! The cheese oozed out on my first bite and there was plenty throughout the whole burger. The bacon burgers were great too, and the caffeinated mango lemonade. The service was warm and helpful.

This is one of the best hamburger places in DC. I love the quality of the meat here. Unlike many other hamburger places, I don’t get an upset stomach from eating this beef. It’s delicious and it’s healthier. The fries are excellent as well. And the milkshakes are amazing. This is where I come for a special treat – since I don’t eat red meat very often. You know how some places are worth the calories and others are not? Shake Shack food is worth every calorie.

Each time I order from here. Something is missing or the food is just cold. I spent 30$ on DoorDash. The chicken was not fully cooked. I ordered cheese fries, there was no cheese on the fries. They take your money and don’t give you what you payed for.

My friends and I ordered two cheeseburgers and two orders of fries. They forgot my friend’s order of fries and only gave us her burger. My meal was delivered, however my burger was served raw and inedible. Terrible experience! I’m never ordering from here again!
