Great trip to mountain summit. About one hour each way and 30 mins at top. Excellent carriage, and views are spectacular. We were lucky to get front seat, behind guard, who had many helpful comments. At the station there is a shop, cafe, exhibition and toilets. Slightly confused online booking process (essential) and trip may be canceled for weather.

So much fun to get the train. Took it 3/4 way up Snowdon to Clogwyn station and walked the rest. Drivers are really friendly and helpful, giving great commentary on the journey. Brilliant journey and I would recommend to anyone, especially if lacking mobility, it means you can get amazing mountain views with minimal effort.

The snow-down mountain railway! We were very excited to do this one, we bought early birds ticket too early this year. We were excited to do the train experience till the top of the snow down mountain. Two weeks before we got a notice that the rail track work was not completed and the train journey would only be 2/3rd of the summit. They refunded some amount back. We reached the station 30min before. Got the tickets and got seats at the front. The rail moved very slowly but the views are beautiful. You ll enjoy the view but might get bored as the speed is slow. We reached the 2/3rd of the height of snow down. There the train will stop for 30 min to give you time to take pictures and roam around a little bit. REMEMBER the most important thing here is that the weather there is super cold! Your hands will get numb while clicking pictures. Wear ear muffs, caps , jackets , gloves. Layer up! Everything was good! We did not enjoy the views as much as we did the hike by ourself a day earlier. We took 7 hours by foot to do this journey to the top do the summit. It was worth it! So don’t attempt the hike if you plan on doing the train ride, it will be a spoiler!

Snowdon mountain railway station gets very,very busy, although there is seating, toilets and places to eat and drink there are a lot of queues. I don't know whether it is like it all year round or just during the summer season. Having said that the gift shop is lovely selling a good selection of nice presents for everyone. The actual train ride is incredible with the most amazing views, but I was very lucky to go up on such a lovely clear day. I will say the seats are not the most comfortable, but the experience more than makes up for it.

Recently had a great day out travelling up and down on the Snowdon Mountain Railway. It was our first visit, but a great experience, which will remain with us forever. Only one point to make, whether, without a clear day then this may not be such a great trip as common sense would tell you. on our day it was only the very top which was shrouded in cloud, but even that broke at times, but amazing how far you can see on a clear day. Highly recommended, but book early online.

Great railway experience with the small train climbing 1085 mtrs. Great scenes and the peak is great. Missed the peak view due to heavy mist.

Very excited & life time experienced train journey to the Summit. Total time is 150 mins, 60 min each UP & DOWN, 30 mins stay at Summit. Must watch the short Video at base for 10 mins.
