Went here to watch the Jason fox ( sas show ) it was fantastic. Lots of staff in hand to help with find you’re seats. Few issues…the heating was in FULL BLAST which was not needed, it wasn’t cold. Some rude staff members telling people not to film etc but not saying PLEASE c’ Mon guys! Man it’s cost nothing! Apart from that , clean toilets and a a clean venue!

I've been to see a number of shows here and I am always blown away by it. The building is stunning and very well maintained. The sound quality inside is amazing. Well worth a visit.

Went to watch Dr Hook. The hall was stunning, the sound was clear and the atmosphere was fab. My only criticism is the staff need to keep consistency, we had 2 women in front of us dancing and blocking the view, a member of staff told then to sit down, (if it wasnt for older generation behind i would of joined them) but soon as the staff walked away they were up again, the staff looked over and decided to ignore them. I asked them to sit down as the view was blocked and she starts having a go. I mean if it was a rave party I get it.. but it was Dr hook a band you want to enjoy and watch. Lovely venue but doubt I'll be back, Manchester and Warrington had zero tolerance for annoying people. Apart from that good evening was had.

A beatiful and fitting venue for classical concerts. It sounds incredible. Also used a lot for other concerts with a varied range of bands /performers. The bar can get very busy! Staff are. always really helpful. It's a very popular venue so don't delay booking tickets! Parking can be tricky so plan ahead.

I heard this place was renovated several years ago now ( but it's been more like 15 years plus since I was here last ) A beautiful venue for all smaller event's that don't require the bigger auditoriums, or arena located around the city. A nice relaxing atmosphere. My biggest passion is music, so large or small, & whoever the artist, I will go to see anyone & anything live on stage. Surprisingly ( & most definitely the youngest there, haha ) it was my 16 year old niece who asked me to accompany her here tonight, to see Engelbert Humperdinck. Still very charismatic on stage, & engaging with the audience, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening for us both...

Great hall, good parking, places to eat near by. Great show Sunday afternoon. Notices informing people to wear face masks. Very few people wearing them when seated. We will never get rid of Covid if there is no policing.

Went to see the Real Thing and they were excellent. Such a great venue. Was very close to the front but even if you're not you'll have an excellent view due to its size. Love coming to see gigs and shows here. Staff are relatively friendly. Great bar set up. Great shows!

Great opportunity to enjoy the orchestra music in the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic building during this Sunday open day (free entrance).

Best music venue in Liverpool by some distance. Excellent acoustics. Comfortable chairs. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The ticket 'extras' are reasonable. The bar is attractive. Altogether an excellent night out, whatever your taste in music.

Went to see Lucy Worsley with her Agatha Christie tour. Lucy was amazing as we expected. The venue was fabulous with excellent views from all areas of the auditorium. Swift bar service throughout. Would definitely recommend.

I appreciate that it was free but the open day on 24 September was quite disappointing. The website said there would be a traditional Indian classical concert in the Music Room, instead there were just two guys improvising on instruments. Even more disappointing was the Philharmonic orchestra playing for around only twenty five minutes. I had missed the description of it being a mini concert on the website but twenty five minutes really is mini!

Enjoyed the Paul Carrack concert. Top class musicians on top form who gave the crowd what they wanted. Also, a highly talented support act (Hannah White) who richly deserved the applause she gained from an audience appreciating the personal aspect to her music.

Great night. Lovely staff. Spider-man into the spider-verse with a live orchestra was brilliant.

We went last night to see Holly Johnson who have a superb performance, that's why the review is 5 stars.for this performance I would give the the venue 0 stars if I could. We were in the upper tier on the left hand side, but the evening was spoilt for me by the two people sitting a couple of rows in front. Before the show started, it was announced repeatedly that recording was not allowed. Don't get me wrong, I know this policy is impossible to enforce. However as soon as the house lights went down two people on the back row of the lower tier stood up, held the phones up high and started videoing. They were right in the way, totally blocking the view of the center of the stage. I looked to the side and saw a steward standing there, I thought oh it's ok he'll be right over to tell them to sit down. Usually the staff here are really vigilant. The performance had started and he still just stood at the side then, somehow he discovered that he had regained the use of his legs, and started towards them......and walked right past them. He must have been so overcome by his new found ability to walk that he couldn't stop! He then turned around, walked right past then again, and went back to the side where he lost all use of his legs again for the rest of the show. Thankfully most of the show, the crowd were all on their feet, but every single time a slow song can't along we sat down, only to have these two left standing, phones in hand. Can you please send the guy you had working there last night to have his legs looked at, so that he retains the ability to walk when he's working. I'd have his eye sight checked too if I were you

James Martin 2023 tour was great. Fast moving, interesting and funny. Pity about his agressive, sarcastic roadies outside who blocked the only pavement . They need to wait a few mins to load up until the audience has left. It's unsafe to force people into the road. The audience pays your wages boys!!

Top visit to the hall to watch Psycho get played with a live orchestra. Almost had to give four stars because of the view I had from my seat. The barrier at the bottom of the stairs was right in the eye line, so I had to slouch to see the screen. Obviously it wouldn’t have been a problem if you’re just watching a normal performance.

Very organized and smooth experience, from entering the hall to leaving. Staff very helpful and friendly. Hall beautifully clean and well presented. Amazing sound system and effects. Thoroughly enjoyed the concert.

As always had a lovely evening, this time watching the classic film Psycho accompanied by a live orchestra. The atmosphere was electric. Staff are attentive, facilities are great, bar is both well staffed and well stocked. The only noticeable downside now is the seating. There's just no room anymore. People have visibly grown in stature since the last refurb. Nothing to to do with overweightedness, people just seem to have grown in both height and bone structure. Fortunately, I had an aisle seat so I could spread out a bit but I do now have back and knee ache. I seriously pity those stuck mid row though.

Came here to see Seal in Sep 23' which was a really fun night. A smaller more intimate venue, the sound quality and atmosphere was great and lively. I was in the upper circle and had a good view of the event. Staff were very helpful and welcoming, directing me to my seat with designated seats well signposted although the seats themselves were a bit uncomfortable. There was a drinks bar on the first floor selling a range of spirits and cocktails, also a merch stand selling a range of goods such as tote bags, t shirts and accessories with offers available too. Well located on Hope St, this is accessible by foot or the 86 bus as well as nearby parking available. Tickets can be bought in advance or collected on the night with good accessibility in the venue. An elevator ascends up to the first floor and disabled seats in both corners of the upper circle.

Show was fantastic. Customer service was shocking on our experience. We were sold the wrong tickets which were obstructed by the orchestra. Being a wheelchair user I found my self transferring in and out several seats which ruined both my mine and my families experience. In the follow up emails they were happy to agree they messed up and sold us the wrong seats and said there is nothing more they could do.

Went to see Alexander O'Neil. Boiling hot. No Aircon Drunken women would not sit down. Told staff. Did nothing. Moved seats. Could not hear what artist was saying. Awful Walked out with many others during interval. Terrible experience

We went to see Seal yesterday. A fantastic singer, songwriter and a throughly nice guy. What a soulless venue - good acoustics but there is no atmosphere or ambience. The auditorium is extremely light, the ceilings high and you were now allowed to stand up to dance. We were at a music concert, despite the fantastic act, it felt like you were in a hospital waiting room. Plus the woman sat in front of me had stinking breath and every time she sang, it made you want to vomit.

Went to see Bob Odenkirk, known for his role as Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul, for his book launch. This venue was very nice inside even though it looks a bit dated outside. I guess you should never judge a book by its cover! The staff were welcoming and efficient with where we needed to go

Brilliant night. Saw Rick Astley with the fantastic philharmonic orchestra. Thank you so much to everyone involved in the show. Got to do that again. Philharmonic orchestra has the best sound , with Rick Astleys voice you just can't go wrong 👌

I just want to share one experience from today - I went to pick up my ticket from the box office, about an hour before the start of the Squeeze gig this evening. I was suffering some chronic indigestion at the time and asked if I could lie down somewhere for a couple of minutes as I knew this would relieve the symptoms. A staff member directed me to a secluded bench in the foyer and within 20 seconds several other staff and security members, including a first aider had come to check on me. I was indeed fine after a few minutes and skipped away, thanking the staff. I can't think of any other venue I've been to that would have offered the same care and attention. Well done!

Such a lovely setting for music. Staff are friendly and we enjoyed watching Ricky Ross from Deacon Blue last night. Liz from the booking office was super helpful as I had to add to my order and she sorted it in minutes.

Staff at the Philharmonic were very helpful and friendly. But the concert was absolutely dreadful, Van Morrison had no connection with the audience and seemed as though he couldn't wait to finish and when he did, just left the stage without any goodbye! Also only sang a couple of his hits, and the rest of the songs all sounded very similar! Extremely disappointed having waited a long time to get tickets to see him live... never again (although I would see his amazing band!)

Visited the Phil on Saturday 5th March for the Status Quo concert the show was fantastic, brilliant venue, but my reason for the review is to thank the 2 wonderful staff members who went out of there way above and beyond to help me, I'm sorry I didn't get your names the wonderful lady at the door of the upper circle and the lovely young man who was the manager you know who you are...the upper circle were the only seats available when my partner purchased the tickets, I was pleased there was a lift so I didn't have lots of stairs to climb because I have difficulty walking after a few steps I reached my seat but it was too difficult for me to sit down as I need to stretch out one of my legs, I decided I would have to forgo the concert and leave my partner and our friend to enjoy it on there own, as I was leaving the lovely lady asked me was I ok, I explained the situation and she asked me to wait while she spoke to the manager, they accommodated me with another place to sit along with the rest of my party, I was overwhelmed at their kindness...Well done Philharmonic Hall you are a great venue and deserve the highest praise for customer care, you have one extremely happy customer here, and I've told my partner he books tickets earlier next time we visit so I can come along without any issues for myself...5 stars from me

We went to the Philharmonic tonight to see Paul Carrack my husband has Parkinson’s disease and is blind I was worried how I would cope .The staff were amazing they gave us ground floor seats and couldn’t do enough for us.He uses a walking frame they took us to our seats and once we were seated they took it away and brought it back when the show finished.Nothing was too much trouble one of the girls even zipped his jacket up for him. Thank you all for making it such a lovely evening

On September 11th 2021 after purchasing tickets almost two years before, finally got to see Steve Hackett and band. Fantastic experience. The Philharmonic Hall was a great venue. Everything was extremely well organised and the event ran very well and efficiently. Steve Hackett performing his classic Genesis album Seconds Out was on top form. Nad Sylvan as lead singer was excellent. The musicians seemed to enjoy and relish the experience as much as the audience. All round, a first class experience.
