Service was the best out of everywhere we went. The live music was wonderful to listen to. Make sure you get there before 8 because there is a cover charge. All the food was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We were happy and full. Also if you have food allergies you can be confident ordering here. They do take care to use separate fryers and use all means to prevent cross contamination. Cook even came out to say hi and assist with our huge order

Memphis Jones, the live band, was great. The food was yummy and the drinks were tasty. We were there around 5:00 on a Monday afternoon in March, no wait to get in. Two of us were going to get the ribs but they were out so we went with Chicken and Waffle and Meatloaf. The 14-year olds had wings and the Fried Platter. The chicken and waffle was really good. Meatloaf was tasty. The wings were meaty and perfectly cooked. The catfish was really good - coming from a 14-year who says she doesn’t like fish. When you go early enough it is a great spot to include the teens in live music and a bit of music history.

Passing through Memphis, I had a chance to visit Beale Street. I had lunch at the iconic B. B. King's Blues Club. There isn't a band during the day, but you can almost hear the blues band playing when you walk in and look around. Known for their BBQ Ribs, but I ordered the Blackened Catfish and Shrimp Creole. This is a spicy, flavorful dish. If you love Cajun food, I highly recommend it. Excellent! The service was outstanding as well. Don't miss the opportunity to visit, even if you are passing only through Memphis. Parking is easy, in the parking garage behind it.

I highly recommend this Beale Street Memphis Tennessee restaurant. Definitely fall off the bone ribs! Check out my plate of bones photo. The staff was friendly. Our meals were delicious. Our cocktails were spot on.

Man this house band is incredible! They will have you out of your seat and dancing, that's the reason I give it five stars. The food is pretty good and well priced, but that band is just fire. If you are in Memphis this is definitely a must go place.

The wife and I celebrated an anniversary on Beale street and stopped in at BB Kings blues cafe! Incredible live music! The wife had two signature “Lucille” cocktails I had the most incredible pulled pork sandwich while the wife had fall off the bone ribs, we tried the gumbo full of meat with just enough heat! House special bread pudding to finish! Special shout to our GREAT server Panda who made a great visit even better! Highly recommended if you get the chance stop in you won’t be sorry!

Great place for live music... And the food was great too! Food was typical southern cuisine and BBQ. Music was very good. Only compliant would be that the music is very loud which makes it difficult to order and have conversations. So if you want to chat over dinner you may want to eat somewhere else and come back for drinks and music.

Great Vibe Even on a Monday night Band was fantastic. Loud, Fun, tons of energy. People dancing every where at 8 pm. Decent food. Ribs were good not great. Shrimp and grits good. Nachos too much. Service is friendly but understaffed. $10 cover but best music stop in Memphis.

We stopped on a Saturday for lunch and were seated immediately. The band was just setting up when we got there. Note, there is a $10 per person cover charge to get in the door. Our waiter Jeff was fantastic and took great care of us. I order the pig player which was awesome and my wife had a burger with tater tots. We decided to stay for awhile to listen to the band. It was a great experience and I would recommend this to anyone.

We went and had a late lunch before they started the live music. The catfish and shrimp was delicious. The atmosphere was unique and fun. Everyone was friendly had a excellent waitress. Reasonably priced for a tourist area. We all enjoyed the whole experience.

We went on a Friday night, around 6. Not crowded, so we got or party of 3 seated quickly. Our server Tiffany was quick to take our drink & appetizer order. The tots and cocktails came out quickly. The band was terrific and Tiffany was attentive to our needs. Our order of chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits, & pulled pork plate came out timely & hot. Everything was delicious and plentiful. The drinks flowed smoothly, the band rocked, and a good time was had by all!!

Horrible service and food was nasty visiting from Atlanta and was so disappointed. Feeling really sick as of right now !!!! You hear about Memphis bbq all the time and I came here and was so disappointed. Server was rude , very unprofessional don’t know her name just know she had fake dreads and she said she was new. The ribs were cold and nasty and everything else was too . Drinks were horrible but the music was great !

1st time here and we enjoyed it!! I had to pay a $7 cover charge to get it, which was fine because it helps pay for the live band. I love the atmosphere and the food was great too. I didn't try the BBQ (I know lol) but will when I visit again.

We were staying at Memphis on our way back home and visited this place. My wife and I had a lot of fun listening to the music and eating here. And Paul was absolutely fantastic. We got some sausage and wings with fries for appetizer and it was great. The sausage was just unlike any sausage I have had before, so I'd suggest getting that if you can. It's not on the menu, but you can just ask for an order. The wings were amazing too, although we liked the buffalo a bit better than the dry rub. And then the main course, the ribs, were amazing, and so were the sides. The bands that played were great as well and really added to our enjoyment of the food. If you want to have fun and have nice food and drinks, definitely check this place out. The $10 cover is worth it.

Sept 10, 2023 - Memphis, TN Beale St. I wish I had read the lowest reviews first and saw that they were very recent reviews, too, and had a plan B. First, we, too, were charged $10/pp cover for music. The music was good, and we really wanted to try some good Memphis BBQ. I know this is a tourist area, and there are other great BBQ areas all around. I didn't care to pay the cover, but we were already there. Food: The ribs and chicken were 2 out of 5. They were a bit dry. Not terrible enough to return the food back to the kitchen. I am not that picky. But it could have gone back. The server, sides and appetizer (fish bites) were great, though!

This place is top notch!! So glad we came here. We had gumbo. I ordered shrimp and grits, and my husband ordered ribs!!! Both were the best we have ever had!! The band was fantastic! Wonderful server! Great Hospitality all around.

1000 compliments to the performers and staff. This was the highlight of my trip to Memphis. The music and ambiance were perfect. Mr. Ashton Riker and the Memphis Royals performed. Regarding food, the white chocolate banana bread pudding was delicious. I had never had it before and it was like a crunchy cloud in my mouth. Delectable and fun. The bartender was too busy so service was slow, but I had a great time.

Oh my gosh, the food was fantastic. I got the shrimp and grits and it was everything I hoped for and more. I think I literally moaned. So delicious. My family ordered the ribs and chicken, and also said it was good (I tried the ribs. Yum!). The drinks are good, too! Yes, there is a $10 fee for each person at the door — for the live music! It’s worth it. The musician came over and introduced himself to us. Maybe touristy, but definitely delicious. ALMOST FORGOT TO MENTION THE FRIED PICKLES. I was put on this earth to eat pickles in all its forms. YUM!

We dropped in to have drinks and listen to live music. We had the Beale Street Lemonade and Love on the Delta. The place was packed and the band was phenomenal with lots of audience interaction. The staff was incredibly quick given the large crowd. It was such a fun, upbeat, historic place!

Food was fantastic and the live music even better! Staff was friendly and timely when the joint was slow, but fell behind when it filled up - my table quickly got to the point of ordering double drinks because we knew it’d be awhile before the server got back to us. Not their fault - looked like they had an overly large section to take care of. Not the sort of thing that would deter us from coming back regardless - the food and music made up for it in spades! Note that there is a cover charge (think it was <$10) once the music starts up.

$7 cover charge to get in on a Monday night. Monday night was probably half full so plenty of room. The band were fantastic and well worth the cover charge. Food was ok. I had the four ribs which were tasty but nothing special.

What a treat to be here and see Mr. Leroy Hodges play live. (Bass player for Booker T. And the MGs) We also saw a band called Diversity Band play. They were really good. We ordered the BBQ nachos which were also good. Definitely a must stop for live music and good food.

The service was great. The establishment was very clean including the women's restroom. The food was very good for the most part. The mac and cheese was very bland but not everyone can have seasonings. The seasoned veggies were awesome, the chicken fried chicken and the ribs was superb. The shrimp street tacos were seasoned awesome and had this kinda spicy sauce on them that was really good. The live band playing that evening was really good as well.

Went to vibe by myself. First time here. It was a great experience. The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the catfish and shrimp. It came out piping hot and fresh. I don’t eat catfish for the most part. This was the best I’ve ever eaten. I took a chance on ordering it because I had a taste for fish. I was completely satisfied! Also, the staff were very friendly, polite, attentive and professional. The entertainment was off the chain! Live Blues! I vibed out for about 3 hours. I will definitely come back and I highly recommend this establishment!

This is my 2nd time to go to B.B. King’s last time the food was amazing. This time the fried food and Mac n cheese was loaded with salt. I ordered the chicken fried chicken, which was extremely small as you see in the pictures. The entertainment was amazing!!! I love the band they have on Monday night’s. They sing great, tell stories, interact with the audience and are all around a lot of fun to watch!

Amazing restaurant. Atmosphere is great. They were playing live music, and it was a good blues. All the food was good. I shared with my wife a pig platter, it was enough for too. It was tasty and well prepared. We did not like the beans due the fact it is a little bit sweet but it is out taste.

New York native whom stopped off in the South and listen....it was professional, delicious, not too costly and overall a homey environment. I hate that I didnt come here pre COVID but better late then never, right? I had the sausage po boy and the rest of my party got different meals. The bread was buttery, the sausage was perfect - not too snappy but not overly soft either. The drinks are nice and strong. My server was hilarious and hospitable. You don't get all of those qualities in one in NYC and if you do its a rare gem. I look forward to coming back here! Oh and let me not forget the bread pudding. Maaaaaaaan! It was decadent. I am not mad at the lbs I gained. I would do it all over again but even bigger if I could.

The place had an awesome atmosphere and truly great live music. In the end I think it was worth it, but I do want to warn everyone that there is a $10 PER PERSON “entertainment fee” just to get inside, so that is in addition to all food, drinks, and tips. If you keep your receipt you can come and go all day without paying another entertainment fee. Never seen this type of fee outside of New Orleans where they do it for certain famous acts, so still surprised by this for normal live music, but again I feel in the end the experience was worth it. Most tables seem to have a good view of the stage, sitting on the edge upstairs was where we were, and we really liked that view. The food was really good, I was shocked, better than most places you would consider to have good food. Also one last thing, the bathrooms were nice and clean.

I am really here to post about the atmosphere alone. Was visiting Memphis recently and decided to go to this gem of a place! I had already eaten so I just ordered drinks. The place was packed and busy but our waiter was consistently moving around and always available. If you go for anything….make sure the B.B. King All-Star Band is performing live….they are AMAZING!! Had a blast!

We were here for a family reunion lunch. As the event planner, from setting this up to the actual date, Kathrine Corvelli, the National Sales Director was excellent. She was quick to respond to what probably seemed like endless questions and changes. The food, of course, was delicious and the service, (sorry I can't recall our server's name), was great! We had a lot of requests and they were handled promptly and professionally. The bartender was also polite and helpful with keeping me updated on the expense. The music was a highlight! I absolutely recommend a visit here!

Stopped in to eat before attending a ball game. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my son tried the smokehouse burger. Very pleased with the meal. Missed out on seeing live music but looking forward to returning.

The music ... it is all about the music. We paid $10 apiece to get in (ugh!) then listened as the bands constantly asked for tips and more tips. My wife and I always tip well so the encouragement from the microphone is not needed or appreciated. If you love to perform, then perform and money will follow. Shrimp po-boy was .. uh .. average. Wait staff was excellent.

Great atmosphere with live music and two levels. The food was good, especially the Comeback sauce, but the service was very slow for a mid afternoon Monday when a lot of Beale Street was closed. Waited about 30 minutes before a waiter came over. Ordered two different beers but we both got the same beer.

  • 5/5 Erik F. 8 months ago on Google
There was a ten dollar cover charge, but it allows you back in all day, so we plan on returning in the evening for more drinks/music. The ribs were amazing, so was the Mac and cheese, the drinks are good, but a bit overpriced for the 2oz max of alcohol that was in them. The dark beer they have on tap is good too . I gave the service 4 stars because we waited for a long time for our food. Meanwhile other people that arrived after us got theirs. They blamed it on running out of paper in a printer. However, while we were waiting for 40min and I ran out of beer, they never came to check. I think we were forgotten. The band they had was pretty good and we enjoyed the music.

I really thought this place was going to be very touristy with bad service and horrible drinks but to my surprise it wasn’t. My husband and I arrived there around 8p to watch the All Star band which started at 8:30p. The band was awesome and performed three sets. It really set the mood for the rest of our Time in Memphis. The food was good as well. You have to get the fried fish! What was so good about the fish was that not only the batter was seasoned, the meat was also seasoned as well! The baby back ribs were tasty too. I was not a fan of the drinks. The drinks tasted watered down. We only had one mixed drink and switched to beer. Will I be back ? Heck Yeah!

  • 5/5 Lisa S. 1 year ago on Google
Our convention rented out the place for the evening and I wasn't too hopeful for great anything. Boy, was I wrong! Great service all around. The food...what can I say but holy wow!!! Quite possibly the best mac n cheese I've ever had and I wanted to eat my weight in the fried chicken. But the entertainment took great to out of this world. The house band delighted us all with their soulful and bluesy sounds. Lots of dancing to be had all around. Would 100% return.

Atmosphere is electric. Beer and liquor flow like a silk river here. The musical talent is second to none with The Memphis Royals absolutely killing it! Ron provided impeccable service, always on point and a step ahead of our wants. Catfish bites were perfectly cooked, delectable little bites of moist fish with a crunch corn meal exterior. The tarter and Come Back sauce just push it over the top. Heard others comment that the meatloaf and ribs are both great. Great views of the band from almost any seat due to back seats being high tops. Bring tip money, always someone around to help you out. Men’s room attendant makes sure you don’t have to even turn the water on at the sink our get your own soap. Hand towel draped across your shoulder for convenience. Guy is the bomb! 6/9 update: meatloaf is amazing. Grilled on both sides to give a little crust, bacon wrapped edges. Vegetables are delicious. Asked Ron what desert I wanted and he said “Strawberry Shortcake,” and he was right. Best I’ve ever had.

We came on a live band night. The band was great and played a nice mix of older songs, however it's extremely loud. My shrimp and grits were blah, and another guest commented that the pasta could've used more sauce as it was dry. The best part of our spread was the fried fish. There were zero complaints there lol. The loaded tots were also good.

Well first time and last. The band was great! The waiter Brandon was great! The food well the ribs were great! They didn't have cocktail sauce for the shrimp or tater sauce for the fish. So I didn't care that much for it. Oh and please if you go and it is a cold night. You can hang it up! That place is so cold! The only heat in the place is in the restroom! We had to pay a cover charge of 30.00! Then we had to eat with coats and gloves on! It was so cold the ice cream on the table never melted! We ask about getting atleast the cover charge back well that didn't happen!

Food was great! Would give 5 stars but we had to pay a cover charge $10 dollars a person to enter the building. Simply Bc they had a band playing that night. We had not interest in the band or music simply the food. But we had to play anyway. I expected the prices to be simi expensive due to being on Beale street but to add a cover charge to eat is a very stupid. Won’t be back.
