I loved this museum. I was in Memphis on a weekday in January, so the city was nearly dead. But the plus side was I got the whole museum and guide to myself! I'm not really a car buff, but love the look of sports cars, and I love history, so really wanted to visit the museum. The cars on display were beautiful. I enjoyed that some of the hoods were open, so you could see the workings inside. The guide (I'm really bad with names) was awesome and he was willing to take pictures of me with a few of the cars. You could tell the love he had for the cars, which is always a highlight when touring these kinds of places.

What a fun little museum! Great way to spend time waiting for the Sun Studio tour. I really enjoyed how tightly focused the museum was on the rise of the American sportscar. The cars are gorgeous and really well cared for. The staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable-they really added to the cars with their stories.

Planned a small day trip to Memphis and found this little gem, and we're so beyond glad we stopped! I've been a car enthusiast since I was a little kid and have always loved a fun car museum, and this one is definitely near the top of my list! The historical significance of their collection is amazing, plus if you know your cars, they have some incredible, VERY rare, and beautifully restored examples. Even if you aren't an enthusiast, the history (and eye candy) itself is priceless. Also, just go to meet the fine gentlemen that run and curate the museum; they make sure you have a great time and are extremely passionate about every single inch of the place! Can't thank them enough for their hospitality! All in all, make sure to stop at this amazing and historical spot for a well curated museum experience; definitely one I won't forget for a while!

Excellent small car museum. Proprietor Richard shows you around the collection of c. 20 cars. When we were there, the exhibits showcased the evolution of the American sport car 1950-1970. In there is a Shelby GT500 - one if just five built. $10 VERY well spent. Allow 1-2 hours if you’re a real car enthusiast

Edge Motor Museum was amazing! Our tour guide Richard was excellent. He was so friendly and kind. Gave vivid details and really reminded us of the superb craftsmanship that went into American Made Automobiles.

We went on a Monday. Lived in Memphis for 20 years and never knew this place existed. I wanted to take my partner who loves anything car related. Over all super good experience the person in the front gave us an overview of the place and even gave us a very fascinating history lesson of the cars in the front . We enjoyed looking through each car and comparing them to each other based on the horse power and the build. Such a wonderful experience I absolutely recommend for anyone !

Amazing and unique place to enjoy car and Memphis history. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the cars in the display. Each car has a slide on a table in front that tells you the specs, history and pics of each model and the importance for that year.

Visited after our Sun Studios tour by a short walk. SO worth it! Our tour guide, Bob, shared so much interesting history on each car. Also enjoyed the timeline on the wall. Everything was well done! Took lots of photos because I wanted to remember every detail!

Great museum with a lot of cool cars! We were the only ones there most of our visit. The curator was the best, very knowledgeable. He even included a photo of my buddy's race car in one of the exhibit!

I had been wanting to visit here but put it off way too long. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We got a thorough introduction to the museum and some very interesting tidbits about all the cars in the front before exploring on our own. I love the layout of the museum - they have done a great job making the most of a small space and packing in information. When my wife and I visited, there was a covered car in the middle of the showroom that you could guess as to the make and model. We watched the reveal online. It was a very nice twist to keep things interesting! I did not guess correctly, but it was still exciting. This place is a real Memphis treasure and something to be proud of having in the city.

Stumbled upon this gem of a museum in Memphis just a few blocks from Sun Studio. We were able to get a private tour from the most knowledgeable car collector whose enthusiasm for antique cars is unbeatable. I highly recommend you make time for this step back into American car history! Thank you Edge Motor for a such a great experience!

Great museum, great location, a "must see" for any Automotive Enthusiast visiting Memphis! The best history of "electronic warfare" of speed presented anywhere! If you've ever been stopped and asked, "Would you like to step back to the cruiser and verify your speed?" you're gonna love this place!

Wow wow wow!!! This place was amazing. Im a huge car person and I was thrilled to find this place, they had a lot of classics and one brand new C8 Corvette, I loved this place and I will 100% be back if I’m ever in the area again. Our guide was also amazing, he really seems to have a love for cars and a lot of knowledge about every one of them!

If you are into cars you’re going to love this place, if you aren’t into cars you’re going to love this place. Studebaker Bob makes this museum what it is. From his fascinating stories of his life to the knowledge he holds of the automotive industry it is an 11/10. They rotate cars frequently to keep the museum fresh and get a new experience each time you go. There are kiosks that have each car on them, showing a story of the car and how it came to be as well as a picture gallery of each car. This is hands down one of the best museums I have ever been to. Make sure to ask Bob about his Pride and Joy!!

I was told about this place by an Uber driver as Sun studios was closed. What a find. The curators know their stuff and give you a personalized experience and information that stretches beyond the collection they have. I was underwhelmed by Memphis as a place but one of the high points of my time there was this museum. Great people, great experience.

What an amazing opportunity to view a great story near Sun Studios in Memphis. Stop by to see a unique collection of American muscle (with a sprinkle of British flair) that details America’s love story with muscle cars. The collection is flawless, and includes a myriad of American automobiles and lively stories to go along with the tour. This was a great (very affordable) option to take part in. If you do the Sun Studios tour, walk down 3 or 4 stores and spend the time viewing this museum.

Edge Motor Museum is one of the best, if not the best, vintage car museum I have been to. They focus on the history of the American muscle car and tell a great story of how they came to be (and what ended that era). Of the many compelling reasons to visit, one thing I really like is you can easily complete it in 90 minutes. That gives you enough time to see and read everything without being rushed. You can obviously take longer (or shorter) and still see it all. The cars on display are in mint condition and represent some of the finest cars in their class. The cars are on loan so the cars change out from time to time. We have been three times and there is always something new and different to see. They have a great gift shop as well with some really unique items (burning tire scented candles!). Edge Motor Museum is right down the street from Sun Studio and is worth a visit, especially if you like cars from the 50s, 60s, and 70s.

Top notch museum. A must-see for anyone already down there at Sun Studio. Well-crafted and interesting for car lovers and non-car lovers alike. Truly more like an interactive art gallery where the art happens to be cars.

Great new place in Memphis. Was looking for a place to go to kill some time and see some cars. Staff was very helpful and informative. Small fee to get in but worth the admission. There are some very nice all original cars here. Inventory changes due to cars are on loan from individuals.

It's a small museum, but the vehicles are all top-notch quality. I had to pay for parking outside which was a bit average. The ticket guy must have had problems with people sneaking in without paying because boy he made sure I went straight over to the counter two seconds after walking in. The owner was friendly and we had a good chat. The gorgeous hot rod in the garage was the highlight for me.

If you’re visiting Memphis, this is a must see. Our 8,10, and 12 year olds boys loved seeing and hearing the history about the cars and the staff was amazing. They answered all their questions and told stories to keep them interested while giving enough car facts to keep my husband entertained as well.

Worth visiting for anyone even slightly interested in cars you'll not find a cleaner and better maintained looking group of classic cars. Its small but that's also the point and its also only $10 entry plus the guys there are super knowledgeable and love talking about the cars pointing out stuff I didn't even notice first time looking round. The layout is done well telling a story of the evolution of cars in the USA post war until thier slight drop off. I spent a long time in here while other family members were are sun studios but I'd reccomend checking out both.

What a fantastic spot for car enthusiasts! We had visited before but wanted to return for a 4th time to bring our guest from out of town…and we got so lucky to connect with Bob Watkins, who is like a “walking cool fact car encyclopedia”! Bob runs Edge Motor Museum and can enlighten on so many details relating not just to the cars, but on their histories, races, and his own personal shenanigans over the years! He is in the black tshirt in our photos…and he was a real treat! The car selection rotates a bit, too, so you never know what you’ll see. I loved Doris Day’s old convertible that they brought back to glory…gorgeous! Have a great time at Edge Motor Museum, and if you want a bite to eat, Edge Alley restaurant is serving delicious food just around the corner!

Displays are educational, interesting & informative. If you love American automobiles, and have a special place in your heart for hot rods, you need to see this place.

This museum is fantastic! We have visited twice and we will visit again. It's not huge but there is plenty to see and each car has a real story. I love that they get different cars in so you can always come back again and again. Each car has a tablet near it with loads of photos and the history. You can take your time and even take photos. From the car lovers to the history buffs- young and young at heart- everyone enjoyed it! The museum is tidy and bathrooms are clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The gift shop has some great offerings and I think items are priced fairly.
