Really disappointed - expensive, cold atmosphere, below average food. We paid almost £50 for two mains, one dim sum and two soft drinks, sadly I really can't say anything nice about this place. Nothing was awful, it was just really bland food and very overpriced. The venue is lit by too many strip lights which make it feel cold and the furnishings are pretty tired. The waiter didn't smile once and was very sultry. If you really like Chinese food then I'd advise you try elsewhere, the 4.5 star everage rating really isn't deserved.

Wow this place is great considering it’s terrible interior. Decor looks like something out of a horror film. Portions are small but filling…definitely the best Chinese in Portsmouth. Good prices too!

Have been here a couple of times with friends and really enjoyed our food, I don't know if there are new owners but this time we we're not impressed with the food. After ordering it was served really quickly, actually too quick. The plates weren't warmed and the food was OK but expensive, they also add 10% service charge. I think it needs a refurbishment and the staff should smarten up. I think this will be the last time we go.

Great value for quality Chinese food. Must try Chinese restaurant. Ordered mapo tofu, roast duck, chicken noodle soup and siu mai all of which we enjoyed.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! First of all the customer service was top notch! The waitress and waiter were super polite and friendly. Also I know my chinese food and this place was really good! Food was quick, delicious, and reasonably priced as well! My friends took me here and they said they've been here 4 times in the past year and I was not disappointed! Will be coming again during my visits to Portsmouth!

Chose this restaurant as it was close to the hotel we stayed in, and was looking for something suitable for a party of six, from aged 18 to 77. The service was impeccable and personable. The food was amazing, wish they were more local to me! It's not much to look at from the outside, but as with most things in life, it's what's inside that really matters!

Have eaten here many times over the last 10 years and always had a great meal. However, it is now 'under New Management' so this is now our 1st visit under the new regime. I'm pleased to say the same high standard is still being maintained.

Bland tasteless food, not remotely authentic, and very overpriced for what you get. The ambiance is terrible, it seems to be in a really tired former pub. The toilets were not clean at all. They also had the cheek to stick on a mandatory 10% service charge on the bill which was completely undeserved. It cost us £33 for two beers, and a shared starter and main. Avoid!

What a pleasant surprise Tin Tin’s was. We popped in after a visit to HMS Victory and were greeted warmly by the host. As we were dining with a toddler he was very thoughtful and seated us in a booth so she could sit between us. The service was brilliant. Very friendly and attentive. The food was equally delicious and tasty. The restaurant had a really pleasant atmosphere. Quiet enough that you can hear yourself think unlike many of the other restaurants we looked at. It was a really lovely dinner and great end to the day! Well worth a visit for anyone looking for a nice spot for dinner! Would definitely go back.

Very nice meal and the owner was very attentive. A good time was had by all. It is a shame that the outside let's it down. It needs a new sign and the windows look a bit dowdy. It looks more like a takeaway and doesn't do the restaurant justice. I am sure, with a bit of sprucing up, more people would call in to investigate.

I chose to eat here after looking a various Menus and finding that this one had dim sum and a good choice of bean curd dishes. When we arrived outside I wasn't sure as it looks small and a bit run down but open the door and it's a different story. The restaurant was bigger than it looked and was packed out with people. Luckily I had booked. We had a table for 2 in the corner and although it was busy it was quiet enough that we could chat. The service was excellent, very friendly and fast. I had dim sum to start which was delicious and then we had a few dishes to share. Good value, delicious food, great service and atmosphere, highly recommend.

Another fantastic meal and thanks for bringing our main course quickly so we could head off to our show in the Guildhall. :-)

The waitress was very kind. After knowing I had tooth ache , she served Chrysanthemum tea immediately. Not only that, she gave me additional so I can drink throughout the day. Very kind and nice.

Had a great meal in here. Was a perfect end to a great day. The older gent who took my order was great friendly and smiling. I got to speak to the young lady who's the waitress again she was polite friendly and it was great to have a little chat as I paid my bill. I was a visitor to the town and after a long day and lots of walking I decided to go for a meal here. I can't honestly fault the place absolutely stunning service and food. The young lady that chatted with me said her family was from Hong Kong and told me about that and it was great to hear all this as to me it showed she was happy in her job. The next time I'm in the area I will definitely be eating there. Hopefully they will all see this review and understand how it made for the perfect ending to a good day.. thank you guys and take care.

Had a meal in here with my Wife and son, took my Mum food was fresh and tasted great my mum said best Chinese she has ever tasted and owners very polite would certainly recommend and come again on my next visit from Cambridgeshire.

My friend and i decided to eat in this restaurant while waiting for bus back to London. No doubt the staff are polite , however , the price lists displayed infront was deceiving . The meal for 2 says, £15.90 each when we asked for the menu , it became £16.90 each then we paid, we were charged £17.90 each . Hope they are honest of the price lists . Food served was not that excellent. Although place is clean.

I loved this place. Doesn't look much from the outside but don't be fooled. The food was excellent as was the service. If I lived nearer Portsmouth and not in South Wales I'd be a regular in this place.

Fabulous !!! Have been going here for nearly 30 years it never ever fails . Tony the owner is always so polite and all the staff friendly and attentive. The menu and quality of food is the best. Nice big tables for the bigger party’s or cosy booths with fish tanks for a smaller gathering . 10/10

Was recommended this place by a friend. Called to order for delivery. Was told that they would not deliver to me as my house has a name instead of a number. Asked to speak to manager, was told I was speaking to the owner already. So that's it, no service if you live somewhere with a house name instead of number 🤷‍♂️

Basic food, too expesive sea food option, design of restaurant and toilets like 20 years ago. Stuff friendly. The sink in toilet really need descaling. No so bad, but i expected so much better when i checked reviews before came in. Sorry guys

Very rude on the phone whether they would deliver to me Very very expensive so I thought ok this should be nice no chicken curry was so watery tasted like they mixed just water and curry powder together and added some chicken and veg duck chowmein was lukewarm and tough duck chicken balls were so over cooked and sitting in oil the sweet and sour sauce came in the smallest tub the size of a KFC small gravy and none of it was not hot at all.

Have enjoyed this place a few times in the past .This time we were left waiting for nearly an hour without being asked to place our order, we paid for our drinks and left. We will not use again, very poor service. Poor customer service is not acceptable …especially when the establishment is a bit run down , the staff have permanent grumpy faces and the prices are a bit higher than standard.

Turned up no booking, on a very cold night we were welcomed at the door,And shown to a table. The food we ordered was really good it was hot, rapid , and well prepared, we’ll come back again, Thank you .Fat man Jeff Reading.

Ignore the outside decor once you enter prepare to be pleasantly suprised. My wife and I ate there on 19th Feb in the evening. The food was excellent, really hot, freshly prepared and served by very friendly staff. Would definitely visit again when in the area. Dr. L. S. Reeves

We visit Portsmouth alot , most visits we pop either for a take away or a meal out ..over many many years never had a bad meal . Visited last Saturday lunchtime we were greeted with a fullish restaurant service was good .food was beautiful. Just very tired decor doesn't matter its clean and I'm not eating the decor. Keep up the good work. Times are tight for everyone.
