Great little pub. The fish sandwich was huge and delicious! They do fish fries on Fridays. Service was excellent as well.

We had a private birthday party at coaches and it was great!. It was my cousin's wife's birthday party and he paid for food through the bar. It was really good!! First class people working there, totally satisfied! :-)

Very good food. Good service. They serve warm bottle beer. After the first two bottles of beer I specifically asked for a cold one. I still didn't get the elusive cold beer. It's frustrating getting served 50° bottle beer and a hot summer day

We had a great time, this is a small neighborhood pub that's just perfect for a decent meal that isn't to fancy, the atmosphere friendly and burger was cooked just the way I liked

Outstanding fish fry! I had the perch, and I'm looking forward to trying the bluegill and walleye. The rest of the menu sounds great too!

We were half starved escaping the airport and pretty much found the best place to grab a bite. The food is great! The service friendly and informative. We also enjoyed the local card players. It was a really great experience and I'll definitely stop by the next time I'm out that way.

The best fish fry around - hand breaded cod and potato pancakes! Plus their Big Coach burger which is similar to a Big Boy (pictured is the Coach Jr.) Service is always friendly, prices reasonable.

First time at Coach’s Pub and grill and probably wouldn’t be back. Hubby had the Poor Man’s Lobster and I had the fish fry with onion rings. Fish fry was typical with coleslaw and rye bread. Onions rings tasted like they had been fried in really old oil and they were greasy, not pleasant. Hubby’s fish had no flavor and was not good.

The food is good. Been there several times. I did ask for crispy wings, but they weren't crispy. Flavor was outstanding though. The jr burger is always awesome! Our waitress was beyond kind and friendly! Such a lovely woman. We will continue to come here!

My wife and I stopped for lunch on a Tuesday. We were instantly made to feel extremely welcome by all the regulars and the bartender (Freddy). In minutes, we were laughing together like we had been coming in for years. The food was awesome! Philly Cheesesteak to die for. The fries came out of the kitchen still sizzling, the ONLY way to eat fries! Excellent old-style "corner" bar. Great folks, great food, great bartender, cool atmosphere.

Ok, it's kind of a dive, BUT, it was clean, well run, and the best food we had over a four day trip in Milwaukee. I'm so glad we gave it a chance after a local recommended it for the broasted chicken, which was DELICIOUS. The French onion soup was the best I've ever had in my life and the entire bill for that and two beers was $17 because they had a $10 off deal thing going. I don't know when we've had great service, food, and value all at once. Go Coach's Pub! We love you and we'll be back next time we're in town. (We're from Houston, TX.)

Coach’s, hands down an amazing little bar that gives you the essentials for a Wisconsin restaurant, sports, fried chicken and a good local atmosphere. Broasted Chicken is such a good dinner that I finished the entire meal, while my dad and mom couldn’t. Bulking season is happening.

We always stop here for the incredible boasted chicken dinner and a cocktail while nearby at airport hotel. It is the best place to eat, and come back every trip through Milwaukee. Annie , the waitress, is AMAZING! she remembers us and our orders! Plan to come back in January. 5 stars! T&A

The staff was amazing. They welcomed me on my first visit and they remembered me on my second it’s definitely going to be a place that I continue visiting.

I enjoyed everything about the pub. Bartender Chase was very friendly as were the people at the bar. Really. Made me feel at home. Baked French Onion soup was grand. I also had the Coach Burger which great to. Felt good to talk with everyone. Yes I'll be back. Even had a couple drinks.

Food was gross. The regulars are a bunch of loud morons who spit when they talk. The staff are the rudest people i have ever experienced, And the the owner knowing attempts to steal peoples who are visiting money Do not, under any circumstances, go here. Worst bar i have ever been to

100% best bar.. 100% best bartenders... 100% best bar food( its better than normal barfood😉) the whole staff and the patrons drinking!!! Take the extra mile and check out COACHES!!!!! It does get busy for bar seating but if your with the family they have plenty of searing for the best food. Try the fish!!! You won't go wrong!!!!!!

Didn't get to try the food, but it's a place you walk into and you instantly know the food will be good. Bartender was great and everyone inside made you feel welcome and was very friendly.

Went to this place for a fish fry. I am African American. First thing I hear when I walk in is "play some Nelly" first Nelly hasn't made a song in atleast 10yrs. Being the only black person in the bar I waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the bartender. Definitely not Black friendly.

Such a great local bar. After traveling cross country and realizing you can't buy alcohol after 9pm in this county (except for at a bar). Our concierge recommended Coach's. We could not have been more pleased! The locals inviting us to play bar dice (so fun!). And the bartender was super friendly! She helped me discover my new favorite drink. Rumchata with a peanut butter whiskey float!

Friendly service. Big portions of Thanksgiving dinner. Easy in/out. Would be a good place to visit to watch a ball game. Would recommend.

Coach’s Big Boy Burger: There has never been a Big Boy restaurant in my area within my lifetime, so I’ve never eaten an actual Big Boy Burger. The burger seems incredibly similar if not the same as one of my childhood staples, McDonald’s Big Mac. I realize that may be blasphemy to some, so forgive me. Coach’s Pub ‘N’ Grill is a sports bar located on the south side of Milwaukee. I could not find much on their history, but it looks like they opened in 1999. Their version of the Big Boy Burger includes two beef patties, lettuce, cheese, and Big Boy sauce on a seeded bun. It tasted the way I remember Big Macs tasting as a kid, which is great. Coach’s take on the sandwich is a definite upgrade as unlike the Big Mac it contains two slices of cheese instead of one, there was much more sauce, better tasting bun, and juicier patties. A McDonald's Big Mac suffers from a poor ratio of bun to meat (too bready, patties too thin), but Coach's ratio was spot on. Next time I'm craving a Big Mac I'll for sure head to Coach's instead. Doughboy approved *My only criticisms are minor and have nothing to do with the food. First, there is online ordering available but only by using the Toast app. The Toast app was not working properly when I tried using it, which was frustrating. Second, when I went to pick up my sandwich there was no clear pick up area. It would be nice if signage or more obvious signage was posted inside. (5 star food, 3 star ordering experience, overall rating of 4). Doughboy_Food_Reviews

Wow! I’ve eaten a lot of wings in my life but Coach’s we’re hands down the best! From Chicago and I’ll never eat wings there again. Can’t wait to come back!! Thank you to the owner, Corne and the whole coaches staff! 10/10

First time there. The meal was excellent & the fries I had were the best. Haven't had fries like that in a long time. The waitress was top notch. Will definitely return.

Fishfry is delicious, plates are always plenty of food no matter what you order. Our server, Janna, was efficient, fast and friendly and made the experience that much better. Love all the tv's and you can see the game while here. Will always be a Coaches customer.

Irritating. Sat outside to enjoy the wonderful weather and instead was doused in smoke from the smokers. Then instead on enjoying Game 7 of the Bucks we got to listen to a church raffle the whole first half of the game. They have cured me if going to Sports Bars anymore.

We are having a nice time at a huge retirement party for many USPS workers today, 7/9/22. "Nice establishment!" I have a suggestion though... Maybe think about mounting that little TV on the wall to the left and then your bartender can have so much more counter space and then the patrons can see the game and scores much easier :) "Thanks for the great atmosphere!"

I hate to give a low rating but I have to. The bartender was super rude. Would huff each time I asked for a beer almost like I was annoying them by drinking beers at a bar. People did not seem to be happy that someone from outside of the regulars were in the bar. It is down the street from a bunch of hotels. One would think it was traveler friendly.

Very rude people. I wish I could give them zero stars but the limit is one. I tried to go here with a friend and the hours said they closed at 2am. We arrived at 12:30am and a rude old lady came and locked the doors. Then my friend went to check the door to see if it was really locked, and they turned the lights off on him. We’ve never eaten here before but we definitely won’t be eating here now.

Smallish tavern with a rustic feel. The burgers are great as is the broasted chicken and the homemade potato chips. Give this place a try, you won't be disapointed.

Good hamburgers, take home Italian Sausage just as good....only disappointment was beef barley soup, beef was tender, barley amount good, but base was very salty, besides very little amount of shredded carrots...not my favorite.

Food was great! The blond behind the bar was pretty slow waiting on the gals, apparently she's only interested in male tips?

I feel that Coach's is one of the best pubs in Milwaukee. The food is great. Their version of the Big Boy is very close to the real thing, the Cole Slaw rocks and the Onion Rings are my favorite. The fish fry and the homemade soups are fantastic. The people who work here are wonderful - attentive, fun and kind.

One of the extremely few places in the area where you can get poorman's lobster at a decent price. The food is amazing, and the deck looks great in summer. The food is restaurant quality, which more than makes up for the quantity. I honestly didn't expect it out of a place that looks like a bar from the outside. Despite their small parking lot, there is a surprising amount of street parking. Will absolutely be going again.

One of my Families go to places for years. Food is great, their chicken dinner is one of a kind and a steal at the price. Even if you aren't a chicken fan (like me) plenty of other options. Service is great they are always able to accommodate our large groups of 10+ !
