My Dad in his 70s was here this week and unfortunately fainted and hit his head on the concrete. Leaving this 5* review as the staff here all helped to look after him, gave him medical care, made him comfortable and called the ambulance. We didn't get a chance to thank them in person as we rushed straight to the hospital. Just wanted to say a huge huge thank you for your kindness. After 7 hours in the hospital, Dad is doing ok, just a nasty cut to his head but otherwise a few bruises and aches. Thanks for your quick response and for taking care of him :)

One of my fav shops, since it's recent refurbishment the place is more spacious. Restaurant not cheap, moderate price but bright & airy so good for wheelchairs & pushchair. Good for picking birthday presents as lots of smellies, candles, books, clothes, some household furnishings, seasonal decorations. Plants of course for indoors & out as well as a huge range of bulbs & pots. Currently vegetable plants starting to go out. Includes cat & dog pet areas (accessories). Sells chicken & rabbit accessories, hutch, cages & runs. Lots of pond fish, Plants, ponds & accessories too. Offers a service to put compost bags directly into ur car. Currently has an amazing selection of sheds, outside buildings for the garden & greenhouses. Outdoor play area for kids next to restaurant.

Great garden centre, lots to see and buy. Staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good quality well priced food. Would like to say thanks to Jayne on the catering team for her assistance.

Hopefully a one off. Table service were a little lacking in people skills. Don’t want to cause fuss but it’s the customers who pay the wages. Be nice to feel valued as a regular customer. Left feeling disappointed. A training session on customer friendliness wouldn’t go a miss.

Lots of indoor and out door plants not watered and basically dead but still selling at full price. Very simple task is WATER the plants!

We came to the restaurant yesterday just after 12 midday and the choice of food was very limited - especially the cakes. The staff were quite miserable so we left and went elsewhere for lunch.

Such a pleasurable experience. Staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to help me with my purchase of garden furniture. The manager of the store should be very proud of his/her staff.

Garden Centre as a whole is nice.. hence the stars! but waiting an hour for a simple breakfast, watching families who were behind you in when ordering eat their breakfasts and leave before you're even served.. then when you are finally served (12, from an 11am order, for two simple breakfasts) its a mix of overcooked, undercooked and cold! not returning to the cafe!

The coffee was not good. Did not resemble a latte by any stretch of the imagination. Food was expensive and way overpriced. The chips were a very very small potion. There are much better value places to eat and more reasonable as well. The place was empty which says it all. I felt a bit ripped off when I left .

Recently returned here after nearly 2 years following lockdown, pleased to say it is still five star. Lovely gifts, plants and excellent pet section plus a fabulous cafe with wonderful food. So glad to be back. I'll be back again soon.

We had a pleasant surprise visiting Notcutts Café for coffee yesterday. The new kitchen arrangement convinced us to try a breakfast. What a difference! The food was freshly made and very tasty. The missing star is due to the lack of staff ☹️ The ordering and Coffee queue (on a Friday Morning) moved so slowly, people were walking away. It’s a pity, because the food is finally well worth its price for pensioners.

Lovely spacious area full of beautiful gifts, plants and garden furniture. Super pet store, with well cared for animals. Wonderful restaurant, again very spacious and immaculately clean. Great quality ingredients. Breakfast was delicious. The day before we had lunch, which we enjoyed so much we went back again. Efficient , friendly service. A special mention to the lovely Mia. Well done everyone. We will definitely be back. Hopefully to try the Afternoon tea which looked fabulous and very good value.

This is garden centre that I enjoy coming to. In fact even my folks like it too. Plenty of parking spaces, inc disabled bays. Great choice of products for the garden and home. But also now that restriction have been reduced the cafe/restaurant is good value too. I generally use the centre in Ditchling, however my folks are in Surrey. Do it makes sense to come the the Laleham/Staines Centre. Gladly recommend to all.

Disappointed, my friend and I went into the cafeteria for tea and toast simple order the employee got the order wrong 3 times. I asked for 1 slice of toast and she said it's 1.20p for 1 slice, that's the price of 1 loaf,I was astounded. This nursery needs to get it's act of running this cafeteria the prices for toast is ridiculous. none of the staff smiled they all looked miserable. As for the cashier where I was paying for my item, I said about pricing of things and she turned round and said, all you O.A.P. are well off. My friend and I were shocked at her reply. I will not be going to notcutts in the near future.

Not good for food! Hadn’t been here for a few years and it has definitely gone downhill. We popped in for lunch and first were confused by where to order as where it said to order was closed, and they took the order at the till. It seemed quiet but ok, we were slightly late for lunch (13:30) but not massively. Next indication all was not well was the cashier putting the receipt in a pool of spilt drink on the counter and not being bothered by that at all. We then moved into the seating area and it was very dirty. Spilt food, uncleared tables and generally looking as if it had been under full assault even though there were only 4 of the 40+ tables actually occupied. I went to what looked the cleanest table to find crumbs also over the seats, but ok they could be wiped off. Then food came out and the jacket potato and bean chilli I ordered was cold so returned it and asked for it actually to be heated up. The cashier when we ordered said the sausage panini came with chips and salad. It didn’t. There were no chips and just a small limp salad token. We were just about to give up on my jacket as other half had finished the sausage panini when it finally came out. Tasted ok once it was warm! Salad leaves though we’re definitely past their best. So not best experience ever! Would not recommend.

Oh wow!! How disappointing was our visit today. I remember over many years Notcutts was the place to go for all your Christmas decorations and much much more. The whole place was bare, there was literally nothing, I honestly couldn’t believe it. We stopped a staff member and asked her what has happened to all the Christmas merchandise and I have to say she looked at us as if we was mad and looked down her nose at us, she said “oh no we haven’t had anything like that since the start of Covid” We did have a look around while we were there and I have to say how over priced everything was compared to other Garden Centres. Won’t be coming back here in a hurry, such a shame as this use to be one of the best Garden Centres around.

Quality garden centre. The restaurant section is extensive. The seating area outside is very relaxing. We were there before lunchtime, so just had teas, coffees milkshakes etc. so cannot comment on food offerings.

Excellent all round. We had a super lunch and coffee, including oat 'milk'. This was our first visit and we shall certainly be back.

The staff at the restaurant is the best! Went for an afternoon tea with a group of friends with loads of prams and they were VERY accommodating to our needs and dietary requirements. Thank you ❤️❤️

We went for breakfast this morning. The food and staff were excellent as usual. But was disappointed with the cleanliness of the chairs. There was crumbs all over them. They clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. Maybe hoovering them would help 🙄🙄

Obviously rotten mint leaves used to dress my drink, completely black with furry grey mould. Sandwich arrived stale, obviously made hours earlier and left uncovered. Only gave it two stars because the staff were at least polite, when I asked for a refund.

Garden centre is fab and staff friendly but steer clear of the cafe as they don’t staff it sufficiently and you will wait over 30 mins for two soups and bread! Coffees also very slow

Really nice place to stop and shop ( there were plenty of sale bargains) and a lovely cafe. The cakes are delicious and the main courses plentiful and really tasty. The staff at the centre are friendly and really helpful. Definately worth a visit. And garden centres are not just for old people, younger people are missing out !!!!!

Wow this garden centre is the best apart from the live animals for sale which is disappointing. Great food in the cafe especially the victoria sponge cake. Plenty of parking and very spacious throughout we all loved the visit.

Nice n quiet for a sunday lunchtime. Plenty of choice on all things gardening. Sausage roll was abit soggy but the lemon drizzle cake made up for it.

The sea bass was cooked to perfection, really should have not had to ask for more veg. Thankfully there was a charming waitress who knew what came with Pernod .
