DO NOT STAY HERE. I cancelled a reservation for 5 rooms last month. Original check in was yesterday and they charged me for the first night for all 5 rooms (close to $1000). I communicated to them that I cancelled the rooms and also never received a check in email to indicate that the confirmation was still active. They communicated that they never received the cancellation and that even if I had record of the cancellation, if they did not receive it, I would still be responsible for the first night charges. I spoke to corporate and they communicated initially that they would refund my money regardless of what the Bronx location decided, but when I followed up, they shared that I could only get my refund through the Bronx location. Corporate also confirmed that they saw a "modification" to my reservation in the system, but could not share the details of the modification with me. They also claimed to contact the Bronx location on my behalf. They shared that the Bronx front desk staff told them that I said I cancelled that day only (I had already communicated the February cancellation to the Bronx location). It was incredibly disheartening to know that both the Bronx location and corporate office were both withholding information and lying about the sequence of events. I have stayed at this location before and previously recommended it to others, but now I will no longer stay at this Wingate or any other and will tell everyone I know to avoid this location--unfortunate that companies do not consider these things when shaping their policies. Guess they would rather steal money than be honest and keep repeat customers. The customer service I received from the Bronx location and corporate was deplorable and highly recommend you stay somewhere else.

Joselei was so helpful, professional. She is very accommodating with my check in. Wonderful service! The staff also are friendly and very welcoming too. This a very lively place! 5/9/2023 Update: The staff continue to impress, Jazmin the house keeping staff was so helpful on (5/8/3023). There was another Front desk person, but I forgot her name). I need assistance she stopped what she is doing to help. The 1st night I was having issues with the door and with 3 min the front desk staff had a person help fix with minutes! I was able to make my dinner reservation on time! There is another house keeping Jennifer she is a gem too! Very prompt with changing my sheets since I accidentally spilled soda 🙃. The service is wonderful! The food at Rosa's was delicious! I loved the energy! Overall had a great experience with every staff member.

Thanks to Christina at the front desk for making our business stay easy and comfortable. Christina called in advance of our trip and made the stay better. The hotel is nice, clean and friendly. Internet was great. Easier to work in the cafe area than in the room but that wasn’t a problem. The restaurant happy hour vibe was perfect.

Best customer service I have ever had! Rooms are a little small but are very well designed. It's not ideal if you have kids but for singles or couples it's perfect! The attached restaurant has great food and was packed the from the afternoon through the bought with patrons not staying in the hotel. Also located extremely close to the subway.

Very upbeat and newer lodging environment (built in 2021). Trendy decor at the bar and the food was actually very tasty. Rooms are small but accommodating— the shower space is neatly designed; small but efficient. Also the vent system blows directly over the area you sleep. I am pleased with my stay. Within walking distance to subway. Also the staff members are very helpful and welcoming. Fyi parking is an additional $35/day. Was in the area for business- I will return

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is less than 2min walk to the subway. It was clean in the lobby and room. Christina checked us in and out and was so great. The only complaint would be the shower was frosted glass exposed to the room. The issue could be solved with a shower curtain for the whole interior of the shower. Would recommend!

Everyone who works here is so nice and the hotel is very clean. My favorite part was the water fill station which seems like such a simple thing but it was nice being able to fill our reusable bottles whenever we needed to. Right by a subway station so that was convenient. The rooms are a little small but it wasn’t a big deal since we were really only there to shower and sleep anyway. I’d definitely stay here again.

Exceptional Stay at Wingate by Wyndham Bronx/Haven Park I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Wingate by Wyndham Bronx/Haven Park, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. My visit was necessitated by an unfortunate apartment fire, and my insurance company arranged my stay here. Initially, I was skeptical about the neighborhood, but the hotel proved to be a fabulous choice. The room, though compact, was a marvel of efficiency and cleanliness, boasting great lighting that created a warm and inviting ambiance. The thoughtful layout maximized the use of space, and the climate control system worked flawlessly, ensuring a comfortable environment throughout my stay.One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast - easily one of the best I've experienced. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding, setting a high standard for hotel breakfasts. Adding to the hotel’s charm was a restaurant featuring a live DJ, which added a lively atmosphere in the evenings. It's a great spot that's also open to the public, making it a buzzing hub of activity. For those driving, the parking garage is reasonably priced, a boon in a city where parking can be a nightmare. The hotel also boasts a range of amenities including a gym, a conference room, and a particularly appreciated filtered water machine - a small but significant detail. There is also rooftop and balcony access. However, what truly sets this hotel apart is its customer service. It's a 3-star establishment, but the service I received was on par with, if not better than, the five-star hotels I've previously stayed in. A special mention must go to Joselei at the reception desk. Her friendly, energetic, and helpful demeanor was a breath of fresh air. The rest of the staff, including Emily, Destiny, Natasha, Silvana, Roberto, Bladimir, and Ali, were a bit quieter but equally friendly and helpful. They were quick to assist with every request, always with a smile. In summary, the Wingate by Wyndham Bronx/Haven Park is a gem of a hotel. Its combination of well-designed rooms, excellent amenities, and outstanding customer service make it an ideal choice for anyone seeking a warm, comfortable stay in the Bronx. I highly recommend it and would gladly return for another visit.

Stayed here for a funeral. The location was great. The rooms are tight and minimal but clean and maintained. I'd go back for another short visit. Restaurants and bars are within walking distance plus they have their own bar.

Khristina was very helpful in getting us checked in early before we took the bar exam! So grateful, every second studying counts! The hotel is great, modern and chic and clean. So glad this place is pet friendly!

Overall, fine hotel. One of the staff members Khristina was great. She was flexible and provided excellent customer service. For those traveling for work, be mindful the place can get pretty loud starting Thursday evening since they rent out for events and social activities.

***Top Tier Staff*** The staff was by far the best part of the hotel. Specifically, Silvana, Emily, and Josely (please excuse the spelling). They were amazing. They were extremely attentive and accommodating. I used this as the host hotel for my wedding. Admittedly, I was concerned leading up to the event. I had an extremely poor experience with the outsourced sales force. I do not have much positive to say about them. I wish I could have worked directly with hotel staff and not with them. The communication was inconsistent and poor. The manager, I presume, was condescending and rude. Etc. The hotel staff, I want to reiterate, was perfect. The rooms are European style. Very clean. The location is convenient. The parking garage was tight. However, the attendants were professional and quick. I am no stranger to NYC, but this was my first time staying in the Bronx. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel, based solely on the high quality service of the staff.

Drove here from out of town for a weekend trip. Great option if you’re driving, the garage was easy and the valet was nice. You pay for parking for 24 hours as opposed to it being tied to checkout time, so you can checkout from the hotel and still have time to explore before you need to get your car. It wasn’t clear how much parking would be before we got there - it was $35 for 24 hours. Very close to the 4 and 5 trains so very convenient if you’re going into Manhattan for Central Park, Grand Central, Wall Street, or going to Brooklyn. When we checked in there was a full on party with a dj going on in the outside deck and the restaurant area. It was packed and really loud but it didn’t reach the rooms or extend into night or morning. There was a party going on Saturday evening when we checked in and another one Sunday evening when we left. I would probably recommend this hotel more for young people and less for families because of this. Breakfast was nice and included and there was sparkling water on tap in the lobby. The bathroom in the hotel room was really not private, I wouldn’t recommend sharing a room with someone that you’re not comfortable hearing and seeing everything they do in the bathroom. The room was a little small and dorm-like, but was clean and comfortable. The staff was really understanding and nice and helped make our travel easy.

My husband and I stayed there for the Hip hop concert at the Yankee stadium. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The first room had a leak with a mildew odor. I called the front desk and was told it will be a while before anyone could come up to resolve the issue. I told her I would like to be moved to another room and was accommodated. It was a busy weekend and I appreciate the immediate resolution to the problem. The valet parking was very convenient. The view wasn't great but the hotel was very nice. If I visit the area again I would most definitely return. Thanks for your service ❤️

My Husband and I stayed here over the weekend to attend a concert at Yankee Stadium. Our check in was smooth with very nice service. Our room was perfect for our needs and you can tell with the design that a lot of effort and thought was put in to make the space as functional as possible! We were honestly impressed and really enjoyed our stay. As others mentioned on the weekend the lobby / Rosa's can be loud with parties and DJ's going on, but the sound does not travel far. We didn't get any noise or city noise really from our room which is always nice. Very walkable to the subway, which was great for us coming home late from a concert. We enjoyed some end of the night drinks at Rosa's one night and had lovely service there. Don't expect much out of the continental breakfast, it was mostly bagels, cereal, some yogurt. We planned to be out and about a lot so a quick bagel was fine for us, but just an FYI it's not a huge spread. Would recommend to friends traveling to the Bronx.

Khristina at the front desk was very helpful checking us in early. Our room was clean and on the small side, it would be nice if there was room for a chair and a bigger shower, but then again we didn’t spend much time in our room. We had a King room, I’m not sure what the other room styles are or look like. We stayed for 5 nights and our days were filled with exploring. Water pressure in the shower was awesome and the bed was very comfortable and perfectly fit my sleeping preference. We chose this hotel because it’s close location to the Subway which is what we used for 100% of our transportation needs while visiting. Restaurant and bar were great! Food was delicious and the drinks were strong. Nice to have this option after a long day of walking. Neighborhood was a bit unique for this small town midwestern girl but overall it was fine for my husband and I. It’s one of the few places where I felt like I needed to look behind me when I got off the subway and on my short walk to the hotel at night. If I were to come back again with my kids, I would try to find a different location with brighter lighting and maybe less garbage/trash laying around. (I’m not sure if that’s even possible in this city). We had a great trip. Maybe someday I will return for another Broadway Show!

Let me start off by saying the front desk lady Khristina was theeee best!!! Her hospitality was unmatched! For me that’s a 10 out of 10. The room was nice and clean BUT VERY SMALL! Designed for 1 person. The shower was exceptional small and the person that’s in the room can see your body while your showering. Overall the experience was good.

Awesome experience!!! Joselei was very helpful and kind during our stay. The place is very clean and organize and the location is fantastic. So easy to move around the city if you stay here. Definitely coming back.

Forever my home in the Bronx. Pristine rooms, wonderful amenities (sparkling water on tap!?) and most of all the staff. Every staff member I've met has been so professional and welcoming. Joselei is truly an excellent employee and a wonderful person. I'll be back soon I'm sure.

Professional, friendly service and very clean facility. Joseli at the front desk is exceptional, as is the entire staff. They remember names & details, and they went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable and pleasurable. We stayed in a queen room with a twin bunk for my daughter. Although the room is indeed small from a square footage aspect, it seemed spacious because of the space-saving furniture and design. It was very comfy. It's only a short walk to the 138th St subway station, so Manhattan is quickly accessible.

I was traveling by myself on a short trip to New York City. My one bedroom room was nice and clean. The room was small, however it was all that I needed. Noise in my room wasn't a problem for me. The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating. The location was perfect for my trip. It's about 20 minutes by car to LaGuardia Airport and near 2 subway stops, so getting to Manhattan wasn't difficult. The hotel's breakfast was OK, but it was good considering it was included with my stay. It should be mentioned that the hotel has a restaurant in the lobby that does a "brunch" on the weekends until 9 PM. This can make the lobby quite loud and crowded, though I didn't hear anything once I went up to my room.

This is not your typical Wingate-a fun, hip, trendy boutique style hotel with an excellent staff and very clean rooms. Only one block from the subway and a quick train ride to Manhattan- this is a gem! Thank you Christina for your hospitality each morning. The DJ was so cool! Love this hotel!

Valentina is very professional and extremely pleasant. I was created with a friendly smile and was provided with all of the information that the hotel offered. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great as well. Valentina went above and beyond to make my stay at the hotel comfortable. I will definitely come back.
