We picked Shokudo for our Sunday lunch. Place is clean and minimal, which felt nice and open. We were greeted by Natzki (hope I got her name right), she was warm and professional, and was attentive throughout the service. We ordered: 1. shiitake skewers - 5/5 - Flavorful, juicy and light 2. Vegetable Miso Ramen (added spicy sauce) - 5/5 - the broth was delicious, like receiving a hug on a gloomy day, very comforting 3. Vegetable Nabe Udon - 5/5 - Had an umami flavor and was very fresh Overall we really enjoyed our experience, and food. I would highly recommend this place to vegetarians looking for options in the area.

Great casual ramen spot. They have a lot of options. Spicy miso was excellent. I'm sad that I couldn't try every ramen. I will go back again

This is definitely one of the best places in Hoboken for Ramen!! I tried vegetable Nibi udon ramen and vegetable steamed dumplings. The broth is so flavorful that you wouldn’t want to leave any in the bowl. The noodles, veggies, and other ingredients are always fresh no matter what day or time of the day you visit the place. Definitely ask for the spicy sauce. The dry powdered one really goes well with Ramen. Also, the dumplings were very good. Overall I had great experience at this place. The staff is welcoming. Ambience is great! Highly recommended!!

Hidden gem in Hoboken. Amazing spot to grab that hot, spicy ramen. Tried their miso ramen and it was full of flavors. Also Korean chicken with spicy sauce was super juicy and finger licking good. Would visit again.

A really great spot with a relaxing atmosphere. Would have been 5 start but the skewers were very small for the price and the pancake wasn't my favorite. Went for lunch and enjoyed the open air vibe and tasty food. I ordered spicy pork buns - delicious, a chicken skewer (negima)- small but tasty, scallop skewer (hotate) - very small but tasty, and okonamiyaki - good. Jake (the owner) was very attentive and I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area. :)

Love coming here, only been here twice and I’ll def be coming back! The food is great , the servers are incredibly attentive whether the place is full or completely empty and food was done quickly while still being tasty. I got the miso ramen and pork buns and both were great! I got to sit with a friend and talk for quite a while and I never felt rushed or bothered in any way. I highly recommend! Only slight downside is parking, Hoboken is notorious for its terrible parking so be willing to park a little far and have to walk a little or circle around a few times before you find a spot.

Spicy pork bun was really good. Comes with 2 piece. The staff are super kind and nice. The ramen is solid but I’d prefer the broth to be more thick. There’s a lot of topping in the ramen I guess. The price is a little higher than even restaurants in the city for some reason
