I got to try TAP NYC the other night and was really happy with my experience there. I ordered the vegan tapioca sandwich and it was really delicious. They were happy to substitute regular mozzarella for the vegan mozzarella, and the tofu crumbles were really flavorsome (when they are so easily bland). It was also very generously filled - not a skimpy smear of veg at all, with a good amount of avocado. I also tried the Pão de Queijo, and wow. It was amazing! I will be back for that for sure! Both survived the 30 block walk home in the cold and were still warm and crispy, and the tapioca ‘crepe’ was still very much intact. I also had the power smoothie. Filling, and good. A perfect quick refuel without compromising on taste (and celiac safe!).

I happen to be in the area and needed to grab a quick bite. I found this little place and I was immediately hooked. I ordered the first day the lean steak wrap (made of egg) for extra protein. The next day I ordered the chicken club egg wrap. Both sandwiches were delectable. No dry food and the staff is very friendly. The prices are very fair and I can say they are generous with filling these sandwiches. I was full for the whole day! The only thing I wish they had is the caloric count on their menu which I was told they were working on. It makes choices a bit harder when you don't know how many calories you're consuming. I hope we get that soon. I will definitely be going back there.

The food and the service are amazing, but the place is very small, so it’s kind of hard to eat there. My boyfriend is gluten intolerant and he had a feast there. We had pão de queijo, açaí and this tapioca (photo) that was soooooooooo good 😍 I strongly recommend this place!

The food here is absolutely incredible. My husband has Celiac Disease, so the fact that they are 100% gluten-free is WONDERFUL for his needs. Annnd the fact that they are 100% tasty is wonderful for mine! 😋 There are two locations, and the food and general experience was mostly the same at each, for us. This location has a bit less seating and the service was a little bit slower, but I think we came during a rush time and there seemed to be only one girl working the counter. The first time we went (Midtown East location), we got two of the plain/original cheese breads to share, and couldn't stop raving about them. I got the monster acai bowl, and 24oz was way too much for me to finish it, but the toppings sounded the best. I realized after the fact that I probably could've gotten the 16oz and just specified those toppings. Anyway, it was PHENOMENAL. I love acai bowls anyway, but this was so fresh, flavorful, and amazing, especially with the flavor from the banana and then the crunch from both the coconut and the granola. The granola is incredible, but it does have nuts, so be advised if that's an issue for you. My husband got the lean steak club on tapioca, and he said it was excellent. We loved our experience here so much that we kept mentioning it again, and actually cancelled our previous lunch plans the next day to go again, this time to the Upper West Side location, which was just as fantastic. We loved what we ordered so much that we didn't branch out at all and just got the same things again - but with more cheese bread. Before we left to catch a flight home (we aren't NY natives), we got more of the cheese bread delivered, and brought it with us as an in-flight snack. We are sharing some with a chef friend back home to see if he can figure out how to make something similar. Small note: There are no restrooms here, but they do leave a big bottle of germ-x by the register. Also, the water is free and self-serve. So refreshing! There's limited seating at both, and the place can be busy at lunch rush, but the food will be amazing and you can always order ahead for pickup if you're in a rush. We LOVE this place and would recommend it to anyone. The pricing is fair for NYC, the food is incredible, and honestly, we paid twice as much a few times on our trip for food that wasn't half as memorable. Don't skip this place if you're near either location!

Do you love Pao de Queijo? If yes, head on now to TAP. It’s hands on the best cheesy perfected baked bread I’ve ever had. Even better than the ones you get at a Brazilian steakhouse. Aaaand….they have a spicy & a pesto variant too!! Besides, this cafe focuses on healthy food and offer a range of sandwiches, smoothies and acai bowls. Wish they had Brazilian coffee or some nice dessert options too. Ended up trying their crew favorite Spicy Tuna Tapioca sandwich. It was absolutely smashing! Beautiful tuna mousse, jalapeño, mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, baby arugula, and basil pesto sauce stuffed in a crepe like Tapioca wrap. The server was really sweet welcoming & speaks Portuguese!

Delicious and healthy food choices. The açaí bowls are amazing. Great service too. What an amazing find. Don't miss it if you are nearby.

This place is great if you want really fresh acai. I had one of the bowls and let me tell you everything was fresh and prepared right in front of me. Would definitely recommend for a quick snack or lunch.

The cheese balls never miss. Also the acai bowl is very sugary but the powdered milk is so unexpectedly delightful. Mixed feelings about the tapioca sandwiches - the crust is dry and not very tasty + way over priced. Stick to the cheese balls, those rock.

Their cheese balls were delicious 9/10, would have again. The vegan sandwich was honestly disappointing. The seasoned avocado had little flavor, in addition to the tofu. The sandwich was made in a way that everything was separated and I had to mix it. The tapioca wrap was chewy, and not like other gluten free wraps with a bubbly texture. Would not have again even on a different bread.

It's a small target audience place with huge flavor. Only a few tables, but well worth the visit. Brazillion cheese bread is an amazingly good part of a celiac diet without even trying. And the panini's made with them are great as well.
