Unpleasant
Billing
Experience
at
the
Clinic
I
recently
had
an
unfortunate
encounter
with
this
clinic
that
significantly
marred
my
overall
experience.
Unlike
any
other
doctor
visits,
whether
in
or
out-of-network,
this
particular
clinic
demanded
full
payment
for
the
treatment
upfront,
going
beyond
the
customary
co-pay
requirements.
What
set
this
experience
apart
was
the
insistence
on
using
a
personal
credit
card
for
this
substantial
payment,
only
for
the
patient
to
endure
the
subsequent
waiting
period
until
the
insurance
reimbursement
check
arrives.
This
unconventional
and,
in
my
opinion,
unnecessary
practice
left
a
bitter
taste
as
we
exited
the
clinic.
It
not
only
creates
an
unwarranted
financial
burden
on
the
patient
but
also
introduces
an
irritating
element
to
the
entire
process.
This
approach
lacks
the
consideration
one
expects
in
a
healthcare
setting
and
significantly
detracts
from
the
overall
quality
of
service.
Overall,
it
was
a
disappointing
departure
from
the
norms
of
other
medical
facilities
and
has
undoubtedly
impacted
my
perception
of
the
clinic.
