We were walking from ground zero towards Central Park, we have stopped here for a small rest, the pub was really great, cozy. I liked really the vintage style of the interior decoration. It gives you the feeling of the history of New York, the barman and the lady were really Nice, polite and warm. We get biers and some snacks, the chicken wings were really nice. I had really a great experience and feeling here thanks lovely people.

Sometimes I take walkabouts in Manhattan and seek out obscure out of the way places which tend to have better meals then the ones on more popular routes. I have to say I did like the look of the place (Old style both in and out) and the quiet atmosphere due to a rain storm. The bartender told me the place is usually more lively but I liked it just the same. The food was very good (Cheese Burger, Steak Fries. Coke) and the staff attentive. A favorite new spot to go to on a rainy day.

I have lived in Chelsea a long time and Peter McManus is one of my favorite spots for food and drinks. I can confidently say I have never had anything disappointing on the menu. Best chicken wings I have ever had. They also offer an eponymously named beer, The McManus Ale, one of my favorites. The ambiance is...well, it's an old place. The food and drinks are great, the staff is friendly, and there is simply a lot to like at Peter McManus.

Great local bar. Casual and divey but fun and always lively. Great music and vibe, there’s a touch tunes so you can play your own music when you want to.

Perfect Pub environment with good chicken tenders. It’s simple and enjoyable. It’s the best for quick meetups or long hangs before heading to Penn Station. My go-to spot.

This dinner is our go to every time we visit NYC. It has the old-school charm that wins us over year after year. It is a special place to go back in time. The Reuben sandwich at Peter McManus Cafe is often regarded as one of the highlights of their menu. Packed with flavorful corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing, it's a classic combination that hits all the right notes. The fantastic taste of their Reuben sandwich is a testament to the care and quality they put into their food. One of the standout aspects of Peter McManus Cafe is its genuine dive bar atmosphere. The establishment exudes a nostalgic charm that takes you back in time to the old days of New York City. This authentic ambiance adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience, making it a memorable visit for both locals and tourists alike. It's great to hear that you make it a point to visit Peter McManus Cafe every time you're in NYC. Consistency is often a hallmark of excellent establishments, and your loyalty speaks volumes about the quality they consistently deliver. Overall, if you're seeking a dive bar experience with delicious food, Peter McManus Cafe is a fantastic choice. From the mouthwatering Reuben sandwich to the nostalgic atmosphere, it's a spot that captures the essence of old New York City. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, this place is sure to leave you satisfied.

The real McCoy of old bars in Manhattan. I have been coming here since 80s. They serve their own McManus ale: vey refreshing in a hot summer day. A great place to share drinks with friends. Best BLT sandwich in Chelsea. The chili is also very comforting and wholesome and delicious.

Good burger, large bar area with additional dining area in the back. Burger was cooked how it was ordered, tots were nice and crispy. Grab a seat, grab a Guinness, grab a bite. Cheers 🍻

A true NYC gem. Classic front bar plus cozy booths off to the side. Burgers and wings were delicious. Friendly, fast service. Even the fish in the bar aquarium look like they're having fun!

Had a really nice dinner but the waitress ignored us for like an hour or more after we got our food so this place gets a big nope from me. Service used to be good. If it continues to suck like this, go somewhere else. They don’t deserve your money. UPDATE: I was wrong. They switched shifts and just ignored us for an hour and thirty minutes. So that makes it better.

Cool neighborhood bar, seems like the locals Cheers bar. Crowd were cool and laid back. Service was quick and friendly. Interesting AC action you would have to see for yourself. I guess I should have take. A photo 😁

Their best burger in NY award I feel is overrated. However, the prices and drinks are decent.

Came here on Mardi Gras on recommendation of a NYPD officer after finding most places closed at 11pm. We had a great time with friendly staff and above average clientele. My guest from London was impressed with this "pub." Definitely will revisit on my next NYC trip.

Such a nice Irish pub. The vibe is friendly, everyone is so nice, and I love the wooden texture of the table. I will go back again.

Stumbled on this place looking for a bar last night and I'm glad I did. Really nice cozy spot for drinks. Will be back for sure to try the food. Shout out to the bartender for the whiskey shot and good tunes

Wife and I stopped by yesterday for a couple of drinks and found bartender to be very attentive to us, as well as the customers who stopped by for food or drinks. They had the Mets playing on one TV on one side of the bar, and the Yankees playing on another TV on the other side of the bar. I would say that this place would be a good choice for those who are looking for a bite to eat and/or drink while catching up on a game. My wife and I loved the nostalgic feel of the bar, especially the two old phone booths that we remember all too well before cellphones.

Bartenders seem to anticipate your drink order. If you want to have a flawless experience of getting absolutely wasted, do consider this off the beaten track. Ladies say bartender Lawrence is extremely handsome.
