This
was
quite
a
find
as
it's
out
of
the
way
and
when
we
went
for
Saturday
brunch
on
the
Labour
day
weekend
it
was
pleasantly
uncrowded.
I
suspect
it's
not
likely
to
be
crowded
generally,
given
it's
out
of
the
way
location.
The
restaurant
is
decorated
beautifully
and
set
at
the
bottom
of
an
office
tower
block.
You
have
to
go
past
a
reception
desk
to
get
into
the
restaurant
and
there's
an
outdoor
beer
garden
area
with
Jenga
and
Connect
4
games
to
be
had.
Will
have
to
go
back
on
a
warmer
day
to
go
play!
As
it
was
we
ate
in
the
main
restaurant
which
was
nice
and
quiet,
but
we
had
a
great
view
of
the
east
river
from
our
seats
by
the
window.
Similar
to
the
Water
Club
view
but
for
some
reason
felt
better.
The
brunch
menu
had
lots
of
fun
items
and
we
selected
the
pastry
plate
and
the
donuts.
They
were
awesome
simply
from
being
hot!
I'm
assuming
they
were
fresh
out
of
the
fryer/oven,
though
I
wouldn't
be
miffed
if
they
had
just
been
warmed.
It's
surprising
how
much
better
the
taste
is
when
it's
hot.
Hot
donuts
are
exquisite
and
should
be
served
that
way
all
the
time.
For
the
main
we
had
the
fried
chicken/biscuits
and
the
burger.
I
thought
the
chicken
may
have
been
slightly
over
fried,
but
it
still
tasted
lovely.
We
finished
off
with
the
key
lime
pie
which
was
perfect
as
a
palate
cleanser
and
just
tasted
damn
good
too.
Another
plus
point
is
that,
amazingly,
they
catered
to
the
non-alcoholic.
Major
bonus
points,
gold
star
for
you!
There
were
three
cocktails,
sans
tipple
and
I
picked
the
rainbow
connection.
It
was
a
tad
sweet
at
first,
but
in
that
situation
I've
learned
to
leave
it
10
minutes
for
the
ice
to
start
melting
and
dilute
the
sweetness.
Or,
if
I
can't
wait,
dump
some
of
my
water
into
the
glass
after
drinking
some
of
it.
For
such
good
food
the
price
is
also
quite
reasonable,
I
can
definitely
see
this
place
becoming
a
regular
brunch
spot.
I'll
definitely
have
to
go
back
to
try
out
the
dinner
menu
as
well.
From
the
website
blurb
it's
a
seasonally
changing
menu
so
should
provide
a
variety
of
dishes
over
the
year.
Recommend
it!
Update,
went
here
the
following
week
and
tried
out
more
of
the
menu.
Had
the
fresh
donuts
again
-
could
eat
those
all
day...For
the
main
I
tried
out
the
pork
belly
BLT
sandwich.
Definitely
a
high-end
version
of
the
BLT,
but
yummy.
Do
note
that
the
belly
is
pretty
fatty,
so
if
you
don't
like
that
don't
go
for
this
dish.
Also
tried
2
other
desserts.
The
cornbread
semi-freddo
was
a
slightly
odd
taste
and
wasn't
that
keen
on
it,
so
I'd
avoid
that
one.
But
the
cereal
and
milk
chocolate
cake
was
totally
awesome
and
made
up
for
the
semi-freddo.
We
sat
outside
this
time,
though
it
got
rather
chilly
when
the
east
river
wind
picked
up
and
it
didn't
help
when
we
were
in
the
shade.
This
was
on
a
22C
day
so
if
you
plan
on
sitting
outside
in
that
kind
of
temperature
sit
in
the
sun
or
bring
something
warm.
Was
still
slightly
chilly
with
a
sport
coat.
Still
like
the
place.
