Felt like home away from home! The eforiro, shaki, boneless cowleg, & liver was so, so, tasty.. Walk in savour the delicately sweet aroma..clean and organised ambience too. However, lady at the till needs to up her calculation games & issue appropriate receipts to avoid confusion + wrong impression from some customers, who may not be patient. Shall visit again soon ๐Ÿ˜Š

The food is good , yes... but the servers are so rude with irritating characters. I buy my food there all the time . but today I quit, my money won't make them rise or fall .. but so disrespectful and rude servers. I believe they already made their customer base and now attitude sets in ...

The Food was good . My very first time trying Nigerian Food . I didnโ€™t know what to order one of the servers was very rude to me because I was asking her what is what ... other than that the food was fresh & good I had eforiro (tasted like collard greens ) but I enjoyed my food . Will be back

African restaurant serving Nigerian cuisine. The food is so good! Dine in or take out available. Space is small and what it lacks in ambience it makes up for with the quality and quantity of food you get. Great for takeout.

Food taste good except that it sometimes gets too oily or spicy. Also no parking space available for customers which is wrong.

This is the worst African restaurant I have ever come across. The service was so poor, very unprofessional staffs, rude, nasty and saucy. I can never come here again. Neither will I ever recommend them. This is the worst place ever to eat.

Used to love this place . Food is getting salty . Prices are going up . I was Inquiring about the price increment and the man at the counter stated โ€œi donโ€™t know the prices . Iโ€™m just here to smile and collect your money.โ€ Sounding like a greedy inconsiderate person. No customer services skills whatsoever .

I stepped in here and it felt like I never left home. The servers were nice and courteous to all customers irrespective of their nationality or ethnicity. The food is well priced and delicious too. I had ofada and ayamase and couldnโ€™t even finish the portion of food I received.

First time trying African food. The jollof rice was delicious. My friend had the fufu with vegetable soup and eugusi. The servers were nice and friendly, we were able to try the eugisi and vegetable soup before deciding that's what we wanted. Will definitely come back to visit from Virginia.

First time visitor, the service was welcoming. As I came towards the end of the day there wasn't any pounded yams or fried plantains. But the jollof rice was tasty, but turkey was a bit on the oily side.

Very very bad service. Please Don't trust this service. They fell off, those chicken tenders $40+ were sent straight to the garbage because they weren't edible. They weren't seasoned at all, tough with extra flavorless batter with some nasty as unnecessary large mac and cheese with tough noodle and 2TB worth of cheese with smashed potatoes and gravy which was 10 times better than everything in the order. What the hell happened to the biscuits? They're not soft and flaky and buttery anymore, they just taste like dry and hard baking soda. Just make your own food.

Bland taste. Worst African food I ever tried in Newark. Ayamase sauce was not saucing. The rice was cold as hell. The customer service was very poor. DOH needs to come visit this place . Ayamase 0/100, rice 2/100 . Very poor

I love coming to this place every time I visit Newark, New Jersey. The food reminds me of the motherland Nigeria. I love the fact they have special soups for everyday of the weekโ€ฆMon-Fri and they all taste amazing. I do recommend their Efo-Riro you can never go wrong with that meal. And their Jollof Rice is practically the best Jollof in Newark. Donโ€™t argue with me argue with your mother oooo. But sincerely if you want a good naija meal and you are in the Newark, NJ area stop by you wonโ€™t regret. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

I started visiting this restaurant about a year ago after trying every Nigerian restaurant in Newark and surrounding towns. My husband has an eclectic palate and so far most restaurants have been a miss. I bought the banga soup with the catfish head and it was soo good, it broke my heart to share it with my husband. After that I tried the edikidikang soup and it was a hit with my husband. I love the different soups every day..bitterleaf, egusi, vegetable is a hit with him too. We ordered jollof and fried rice for my baby shower. It is my go to for food now. I absolutely love the moi moi and akara. The staff recognize me and are very helpful and efficient. There is a sit down area but I do strictly takeout because I am always running errands. They close at 7pm and not open on weekends and I respect that because the food is always fresh.

I was in the area to make my hair and was really hungry. Saw high reviews on google and decided to try. I got the ofada & ayamase... the taste was average. The ofada was just a lot of oil and ponmo, and the quantity was small...quite unsatisfying.

The food was delicious. They also have Agege bread, which my son loves! The sitting area was nice and clean. Thank you Mr. Felix.

Tasty food at decent prices. What's not to love. They have a good variety of Nigerian cuisine; you might even get to taste a of the odd delicacy (peppered snails or Suya) if you're lucky and you there at the right time. There are long lines sometimes but the experience is worth it.

I would have given them 5 star but Iโ€™ve asked for black soup over and over and I keep getting come today come tomorrow. Maybe their not happy with me because I have gotten them a bigger place. Iโ€™m seriously searching. The food is one of the best around and very well priced. But be ready to wait for a long line if you visit around noon. Parking is also a problem in front but you can park on the corner street.

Their Jollof rice is still the best Iโ€™ve had in all of Newark. Stewโ€™s really tasty.. Porridge Beans is on point.. They generally know what theyโ€™re doing here. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ
