Great location, right next to the PATH train into NYC. We took the train into NYC and arrived into midtown within 15 min. Very nice facility, you could tell it was recently built. Great breakfast and nice lounge area. Rooms are spacious compared to what you would get in NYC. We were a party of 3 including a baby, and got a king room with sofa bed. We set up baby's 'pack n play' next to the sofa and still had plenty of space. The area was also quiet at night which was nice for the baby. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful as well. There is a supermarket right downstairs if you forgot any of your travel supplies, and several good restaurants within walking distance. Parking was also half the price you would pay in NYC. This will be my go to hotel whenever I travel up to NYC.

Path station is right next to the building so commute is smooth Rooms are pretty huge with great views and amenities (cooking , fridge, iron etc.) (TV could've had better reception) Only thing that is stopping me from giving a 5 star was the limited breakfast options available and sugary juice (which splashes a lot when you try to pour in a glass) also, there was no housekeeping at 7in the morning. Rest, I would not mind staying here again

It's in a fantastic location, especially with the view of the Harbor and proximity to corporate offices in downtown Jersey City. One unique feature is that it's one of the few places that offers a complimentary breakfast with a good variety of options and excellent coffee. I did face some issues with the Wi-Fi connection during my first stay, but I'm hopeful they can resolve it before my next visit.

I had originally booked a two-night stay in this hotel as I planned to spend a couple of days in Jersey. I chose the main suite of this hotel despite its uncompetitive pricing and less-than-ideal location. However, my experience was not worth it. Although the suite was spacious, it felt very basic and lacked any luxury. There were almost zero toiletries, no robe, and no slippers - even though this was the main suite. Instead, I was given generic shampoo and body wash. When I called the front desk and asked for toiletries, they hesitated and asked me to come down - again, this was the main suite and their most expensive room. Furthermore, despite being on the 15th floor, the traffic noise since 6am was ridiculous and made it impossible for me to sleep quietly. As a result, I decided to leave at 3:45pm - four hours after check-out. When I kindly asked if they could do something about it, they said no. I gave them my money but didn’t receive the service I expected. The manager was less than helpful and completely inexperienced in how to handle these situations. It’s very unfortunate and I will never come back.

The Residence Inn in Jersey City, NJ. Sounds like a dump, right? Wrong! This hotel is only four years old and is absolulely spotless. We travel all the time, and it is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. All the staff are great, from the front desk to the clean staff to the breakfast staff. They have a full breakfast buffet that is exceptional. Within walking distance of a TON of local eateries.A $24 Uber ride from Newark Airport and only 8 minutes from NYC, this is the place to stay in the greater NYC area.

Had one of the rooms with the view of the Statue 🗽 of Liberty. Location is fantastic for getting to lower Manhattan Because it is located above the Grove Street PATH mass transit station.

Staying for more than 2 weeks. No dusting.. you will see hairs in bathroom even after 3 days daily cleaning. I feel housekeeping come to just fold the beds and change the towels. Considering 2STAR hotel. ITC providing better service then Residence Inn

I had the most amazing stay at the Residence Inn Marriott Jersey City. From Rebecca, Sales Mgr., who initially spoke with my daughter, the young lady who check me in she was so welcoming and then Lauren, Front Desk Mgr. took care of a change in plans that came up with ease. Ryan Assistant General Manager made sure that all last minute accomodations were left to the detail of "not a worry!" My room was immaculate, quiet, peaceful! The bedding made me sink into the bed. I got the best rest that was well needed. My kids were so happy. Thank you Residence Inn Marriott Jersey City! Your staff made my stay outstanding and one I will always remember. My favorite location.

The only negative thing I can say about this hotel is the parking garage. It's not right next door but a block away because there a large building in between them. You have to pay $30.00 for overnight parking & every time you take your vehicle out you must pay an additional hourly rate which can add up. Otherwise everything was excellent.

Great stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Jersey City. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We went late summer and were able to have breakfast in the patio. We enjoyed the view and breeze so much that we decided to bring our snacks and drinks later in the afternoon after returning from Jersey City Smorgasbord. The staff was kind enough to turn on the outdoor fire pit to keep us warm. 10/10 would recommend this hotel!

Marriott always comes through! Our building was evacuated due to a water tank leak. At 2am, this lovely gentleman welcomed us all with grace and kindness. As always the room is perfectly equipped and elegantly decorated. I am a long time loyal Marriott fan and this evening is another reason why. Thank you!

I recently enjoyed a night at the bar 80 Lounge on the 3rd floor. It's a nice vibe and hidden treasure in the downtown heavy nightlife. I left my wristlet with all my important belongings and I am so HAPPY to share that it was returned to me with EVERYTHING in place. EVEN MY CASH!!! I want to say thank you to Kim the bartender (great drinks--hence leaving my bag behind) and to Lauren front office manager for helping me in my panic since i didn't realize til the following day. Just truly warms my heart to know there are still honest people in this world. — THANK YOU AGAIN for the return of my belongings I cant tell you how blessed I felt that day after my mini panic attack. Its nice to know that where you visit and stay there are honest people working there! And lastly, my sister often stays here when she visits from London and I got to hang out in the rooms—they are really nice and overall a perfect location for everything available in downtown Jersey City.

Room was spacious and in a great location, close to basically everything in Jersey City. Breakfast had a lot of choices, including dairy and gluten free alternatives. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Location is cool, it’s easy to get to everything and the freeway. THERE IS NO POOL! Also, THERE IS NOOOO PARKING! You pretty much have to park in a parking garage within the building that’s $30 a day If not more (depending on how many times you leave). I feel a brand new Marriott could have thought about parking or at least a discount for their customers. Breakfast ends at like 9:30 am most mornings (McDonald’s serves breakfast longer 🙄). They serve sausage, waffle machine, onions/peppers mix, yogurt- it honestly was not enough. The room was small - welcome to New Jersey, I guess! I was underwhelmed with my stay. Also there HAD to be a shortage on face towels because they literally were not putting them in the rooms. You had to request them daily and the staff always had a attitude like it was their absolute last. You can walk to food spots and liquor stores nearby. There also is a Market there a few days a week.

Visit was subpar. Maybe they are usually better but the service was terrible. The towels were disgusting and had stains and holes in them. Called for towels and never received. Breakfast was okay but they served the exact same thing every day. Location for getting into NYC is fantastic as the PATH station is right outside. Too expensive for what you get in my opinion.

This is a lovely hotel. Ask for a higher floor though because the street is noisy in the evening! Because the hotel is located in a great spot of course.

I just returned from my second stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Jersey City. On both occasions, the staff, service and rooms have been excellent. John, the General Manager, is cordial and professional, and he goes out of his way to address any guest concerns promptly. In addition, Kim, the bartender, is a true asset to the hotel. She is friendly and outgoing, and she has a wealth of knowledge about the local area. The hotel is located in downtown Jersey City, and the Path transit station is next door. This makes it extremely convenient for trips into NYC or other areas. I look forward to my next stay at the Jersey City Residence Inn.

We booked the Residence Inn for our Wedding Block from Friday to Sunday. The sales and event staff were excellent to work with, especially Kathy Mendez and Matthew Stewart. They went above and beyond seeing up or wedding block and coordinating itineraries. We were thankful they were dog friendly (fee required) as our little Yorkie was able to stay with us for the weekend. The Bridal Suite has an excellent view of Downtown Jersey City along Christopher Street. The groom Suite has a perfect view of the statue of liberty. We really appreciated being able to have breakfast with our guests the following morning. Thank you Residence Inn Jersey City.

This newer hotel is about a 15-20-minute ride from the airport. There are many food options within a short walk from the hotel. There is also a small bar on the same floor as the breakfast. Public transportation (PATH) is just outside the front door to visit downtown New York. The staff was inviting and got me checked in quickly. The room was clean and a decent size but smaller than the usual Residence Inn. The bed was comfortable and the linens were soft. The bathroom was clean as well and had a shower. Amenities: -Free Wi-Fi -No pool -Fitness room -Full kitchen -BBQ grill and terrace -Laundry -Free hot breakfast

The location, the price, the staff, even the room were superb. Fantastic breakfast. The bar is open Tues-Saturday and had a quite outside area with a fire pit. Devon saved the wedding we were attending by printing out the mother of the bride speech for my friend for me. Emmanuel was great too. A 10 min walk and you see an amazing view of NYC WAY better from this side than the other side so I'll never stay in NYC again if I can stay here. 15 min train to the city right down the street. The only thing I wish was coffee to be available 24/7 so I was a bit surprised that wasn't an option. A little pricy but worth it.

The Rooms are small! It did not help that we were long stay customers and the space was quite cramped. That is the biggest drawback. That is something that you need to be aware of. Other than that, the place is great. It is right on the train station, and walking distance from everything that you need. The staff are friendly, the hotel is pet friendly, and there is a grocery store right next to the hotel. the Rooms have a kitchenette - that is a big positive. Overall great hotel - good value. Would stay there again

The staff were super friendly and so accommodating! Me and my friend stayed here for a little over a month waiting for an apartment to open up and every time we needed to extend or stay or get housekeeping or change of plans, they were very quick and made things so much easier on us. I wish i could have remembered everyone’s names but from the first rep in the morning, second rep in the afternoon and even the guy doing the late shift, they were ALL so wonderful! Oh and the bartender was funny too! I helped him make a cool cocktail for ladies haha. Definitely worth the stay, it’s comfortable, the beds are soft, love the modern chic detail of the standing shower. Everything was super great!

This is a newer Residence Inn, situated about a one minute walk from the Grove St. PATH station for a train into Manhattan. Parking is at the far end of the block ($28 overnight). Lots of places to eat nearby. Easy access to the Holland Tunnel.

My stay was amazing and the room was super clean. I stayed in a room with no one near me so it was great not to have people next to me. I was there for 11 nights and I will be back to stay again in a few months. The staff was nice very polite but not social and didn’t talk much when spoken too. The house keeping was great except when I had my shoes neatly on the floor in a row and the house keeper just kicked my shoes like nothing so I wasn’t to happy with that. Other then that everything was amazing. I appreciate the Security coming in to the hotel because you need to be buzzed in or with your key card. Can’t wait to be back to my home town of Jersey City.

Right next to the PATH station, 15 minutes from Manhattan, and they allow dogs. The immediate area seemed very lively and fun. The views are also spectacular. Not the lap of luxury, but no real complaints. I would stay here again.

Anadina, at the front desk, helped us handle a complex situation with the service that booked our room calmly and effectively. Thank you!

Awkward narrow room; if booking request for Columbus drive facing room as backside rooms face next door residential building i.e. quite close. Hotels own parking is not available except external parking available for $28 overnight. Gym is not 24 hours open even though mentioned on website. Staff reluctant to allow late checkout for marriott members also, even when requested earlier for late flights. Location is a plus right above Grove street Path Station to head to NYC and lots of food and drink choices at walking distance. If driving inner state from hotel need to start early to avoid jersey city traffic to reach the freeway.
