Great pizza for take out or sit down. There are two sections of Gino’s: the pizzeria with pizza oven where you can get slices or take out and the sit down restaurant. We’ve down both and you can’t go wrong. The staff on both sides is friendly and helpful. The food across the board is great but the pizza is fantastic. They also participate in Too Good to Go with males me love them even more

This pizza is so good. The crust is nice and crispy, no flop. Hardly any grease too. The regular pizza and grandmas Sicilian are both very good. They are very nice inside the restaurant. I have gotten takeout and delivery.

Best authentic taste of pizza with varieties. Also loved their chicken wings...saucy crispy Service is nice. They take your order politely. Sitting arrangements are classic too. Everything will be served hot and fresh. Hungry.. grab a slice.. affordable prices

I just moved to 9th St in Union City in March. I've tried at least 10 different pizza places including places in Hoboken. All were good, but Gino's is #1 hands down. This is my new go to place from now on. Not only is their pizza delicious, but their pastas are amazing too!

Great place to grab a pie any time of day. Open later than most on central Ave and is simply delicious.

We came up here for a baseball tournament. Both my son and I hadn't eaten since 8:30 in the morning and it was 6:00 at night and we were starving and needed some decent food. My kid wanted pizza so we found Gino's on the map and took a 12 minute ride from the field over to the restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing and the service and the workers were on top of everything and so friendly. Being in Jersey City I had high hopes for the food but I was really surprised at how awesome everyone was (no offense, northern NJ 😂). Seriously though- the food was so good and everything came out fresh and fast.

This place is what you call a hidden gem. It’s pretty easy to pass this place and not notice it. Definitely, the best grandma pie in Jersey. Can’t go wrong with anything on menu, every dish that I’ve ordered so far was phenomenal.

Want to have a great cheesesteak And can't make it to the shore than check out Gino's in Central Ave in jersey city. I ordered that and the chicken parm. The parm was ok but the Cheesesteak was absolutely amazing and something to come back for. In regards to their pizza I didn't like it at all the cheese tasted liked the same one they use on 7 11 pizzas I was really expecting more since their cheese steak is so good. The place it self is nice so is the staff. So go get some sandwiches and enjoy yourself

Family and friends oriented. Good menu with bar drinks options. Nice and friendly staff. Food was made to standards and our liking. The House Wings are amazing. Booth and bar seating. There is a restaurant entrance for sitting down and another speedy take-out entrance as well. Very popular. Was our first time going and we have no complaints. High chairs for kids provided as well. Doesn't get loud and rowdy, great atmospheric music playing. Has Sports Bar TVs which is great. Although, the vibe is classy/casual decor perfectly and doesn't clash badly with the multiple flat screens. The owners visited at the end of our meal, realized we were new to the area, and suggested other nice places nearby. Which made us comfortable and feel right at home. As an interracial couple with a 7-month-old, this a safe and happy place to come for weekly for family dinners.

Disappointed. I ordered a fresh mozzarella salad with mixed greens. The mixed greens were a bunch of stems, and the mozzarella was hard and dry. It's definitely not worth $15, that I paid.

Oh man what an experience! We were weary travelers who’d spent approx 11 hours traveling. This was a close, open spot and we said well we should eat pizza and pasta in NJ. DUDE, these people were super nice. Starting with Frankie who helped us with so much friendliness. The food was out of this world. Incredible. I got the personal pizza and the wife got spaghetti with meat sauce. The rest of the party had tuna wraps. Everyone loved it. Another guy who was super nice May have been the owners son? They were all very friendly, welcoming, fast, good prices, AND as we were leaving they tossed our little girl a free helado. We’re only here like three days but expect to go back just because of how cool this place was. Highly recommend.

Stick with me.... Last night was EXCITING! We took a spur of the moment trip to Jersey to see the NYC skyline. (My wife was literally in PJs and a blankey while it was FREEZING) I have never seen so many lights in my life, it was truly AMAZING! We ran around Liberty Park, saw the Empire State Building, Empty Sky Memorial, and Lady Liberty. THEN it was getting late and we were hungry, close to NY we need pizza so I call a place in Jersey City that has great reviews and been around family owned for decades. I'm ready to give all my order details, size, toppings, name, number, etc. You know the drill. BOY WAS I WRONG! I'm apparently a novice to this NY/NJ PIE thing. Lady answers the phone... Me: I'd like to order a pizza. Lady: 1 Pie. Me: Yes Ma'am.... as I continue to stutter over my words to tell her a size and toppings(we only wanted a cheese) Lady: See you in 20 minutes. Me: Umm do you need my name or anything? Lady: Got it. We hang up. No questions asked, no size, no toppings, no name, no price, nothing. PIE! That's all she knows, its all I know. We get there and luck out with a prime parking spot, jump out, place is packed! WHOLE Italian family working, dudes in the front making fresh dough the whole nine. Our PIE was just ready, in and out 2 minutes, still no questions or details given, still no idea the price! We literally ate the pizza in the Jeep and it was DELICIOUS!!! Turns out it was only $16.50 with tax! Such a steal! And the most exciting, real deal pizza experience I've ever had!

Totally neck and neck with Pizza Masters for best pizza and Italian food in the area! Quick delivery and open til 10:30 on the slower weekdays. Always had great experiences whether dining in, ordering takeout or delivery. Definitely been my go-to for about 17+ years now.

One of the best pizzerias you can find in Hudson county. My girlfriend has been going to Gino’s since she was a kid and put me on to it. Family owned and the workers are all friendly. The plain pie is always a go, and the rice balls are a1, but the margarita slice is creeping to be my fav. They cut it triangular, but it’s got a Sicilian make to it. Excellent all around. Happy to be a regular there.

Amazing people working at Gino’s. Large portion of food and quick to arrive. I would have loved more basil and garlic but I’m a spice person. Overall, would definitely stop for another Chicken Sorrentino after work!

We were looking for a spot that had a nice variety on the menu for us and Gino’s did not disappoint! I ordered veal parm sandwich and my wife and kid both ordered pizza. Everything was so good! Our waitress was very friendly and patient with us because we took a little while to figure out what we wanted. I wish I could have gone back on our trip because the second half of the restaurant is like an authentic pizzeria and everything in there looked so good. Next time! Highly recommend!

Awesome margarita pan slice and Brooklyn L&B-style sicilian slice and garlicky garlic knots made by master pizzaiolo Andy! Amazing sauce and tasty crust, a hard combo to come by these days! I'd get the thicker slices to really appreciate the flavor and chewiness of the dough. We're coming back!

Admittedly I don’t order from here much at all. I was told the white pizza is delicious and super cheesy! It was! Even tasted just as good heated up the day after! Four stars until I try other meals. Enjoy!

I remember coming here every Friday after school with my mom as a kid in the 90's. The fact that they are still open should be reason enough for a visit. They have a variety of pies that you can purchase. From plain cheese to multi-topping ones like chicken bacon ranch. You can taste the love that they put into each pie. It's a classic family owned pizza spot with an adjoining dining area for a nicer dining experience. Go check it out and support local businesses! You won't regret it.

I always order my lasagna and beef patties and I am never disappointed. Ordering is fast & food arrives hot and on time. Food taste good. Restaurant is clean and workers are friendly, respectful & polite. Definitely would recommend.

Ginos is top notch pizza. The plain slice is next to perfect consistently, but the Brooklyn slice is hands down the best slice this side of manhattan, a must try. The appetizers are also great.

Great stop if you're looking for delicious pizza and more. Their mussels are one of my favorite things on the menu and you can't go wrong with an order of garlic knots. I recommend the Margherita pizza with fresh mozzarella. Only thing about Gino's Pizzeria is the inconsistency sometimes. Last time I went my pizza was slightly undercooked which was really out of the ordinary.

BEST BUFFALO CHICKEN ! If you havent tried it you don't know what you're missing out on!! Always fresh and oh so delicious! They offer ranch or blue cheese on the side which is always a PLUS! Because a lot of restaurants sell buffalo chicken slices but add blue cheese to it.. and I am not a fan... I always like to ask for extra hot sauce on the side as well.. they also have my favorite soup which is lentil .. I like to ask for the little dinner rolls but I believe they only offer them on the weekends... they offer a variety of foods .. and I definitely recommend and I am always looking forward to trying different food on their menu!

Decent place to grab a slice or a pie. However, for those crust lovers, it is very bland. Would be nice if they had buttered or garlic crusts.

If I could give 0 stars for the pizza and service we received today I would. Totally deplorable and disgusting! WE WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR HERE AGAIN! We placed a pretty substantial order and everything came ok except for the pizza. It wasn’t cooked, the cheese and toppings had all slid all over the pizza. The crust was very light as if it hadn’t been cooked at all. We called and asked for a replacement and if possible could we substitute the pizza for something else. We didn’t have any confidence that a second pizza would look any better. They denied the substitution and sent a cold, nasty tasteless pizza. I am livid, but not surprised considering the attitude we received when we called about the first pizza. Never again. I wouldn’t even purchase a bottle of water from here! Goodbye and good riddance!

We got Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Buffalo Chicken wings for dinner on Sunday and both of them tasted like coconut oil.

Got a cheese pizza, tiramisu, and a chocolate lava cake (not pictured) but they were all delicious! Sad that the tiramisu was small but it was sooooo good.

Delicious chicken parm and eggplant parm! I had chicken francese. Brought home pizza, thin crust, excellent sauce and the right amount of cheese. It was the best pizza around when I was a kid; 35 years later, I still drop by for take out!!

Best pizza around. Been going there since a little kid. I go and grab pizza there every I am up there to visit my dad at cemetery... pizza in south jersey not so good. Yummy pizza... keep up great work.
