I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I moved to the area. I usually order a few from the following: soup dumplings, Sichuan spicy hot noodles, wonton soup, scallion pancake, shredded eggplant with pork, mapo tofu, double-cooked pork, chili-fried chicken with Sichuan pepper, general Tso's chicken, sauteed string beans with pork, and sauteed bok choy. The food is pretty good here. This place is not the best service restaurant (especially when they are busy) or the cleanness, but the family atmosphere keeps me coming back to this small place. If you go there often, the owner will remember you and greet you by name. This is usually the first restaurant I go back to when I return from out of town. If you haven't tried this place, give it a try.

We were so excited to try this place and what a disappointment it was. You can taste that the oil used is very old. The chicken is incredibly dry. There’s little chicken at all under the breading. Maybe this place is good in person, but it is such a waste of money for delivery. If anything, don’t order any of the chicken dishes.

Great prices and portion sizes. Quick service with friendly staff. We really liked the book choy and complimentary tea in particular, but everything was tasty. We’ll be back!

Fabulous cuisine with clear flavors, excellent preparation. Portion sizes just right. Probably the best subtly smoky herb and mushroom vege dumplings I’ve ever had.

I love coming here all of the time. The owner is wonderful. The food is delicious. I like the chili fried chicken. I ask for it mild cause it is SPICY! And totally awesome.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I live 45 minutes away from Shanghai, but it's well worth the drive. Simon and his staff are amazing. They always give phenomenal customer service. They're truly a pleasure. Their food is amazing! I've had most of their menu items and I can wholeheartedly say this restaurant has become an all-time favorite. My go-tos are the pan-fried dumplings, pork soup dumplings, and the Shanghai Beef Pad-Udon. Their Pork belly and General Tso's chicken is also amazing. As mentioned, you can't really go wrong with any of your selections, it's all amazing!

Only good thing was dumplings. They were really good. Everything else we ordered was terrible in taste. Chicken was so dry. The noodles we got was extremely sour and terrible. Service was ok. Food was terrible. Not going back again.

The ribs and the white rice aren’t fresh (overnight rice taste, ribs was probably being frozen for too long) . And the scallion pancake was worse, cannot even tell if it made by Chinese restaurant plus their price isn’t cheap. Need to tell all friends & family do not come to this place! It’s not Chinese!

Best soup dumplings I have had so far. Super thin skin, very juicy, and broth is packed full of flavor. The Shanghai pork was an umami bomb. The pork and crab was satisfying and light, while umami was complimented by sweetness from crab. The accompanying ginger vinegar dipping sauce was perfect balance to the soup dumplings. I'm happy I don't have to drive into NY anymore for good soup dumplings. Plus bonus, this is cheaper! Also ordered scallion pancakes which were light and flaky, like a savory donut meets pita meets crossaint. Green beans also on point. Haven't had good Sichuan string beans since I was in Chicago. The beans were still crispy with deep fried skin, and bits of crispy pork, dried chilis, and I think pickled mustard greens. This made it super more-ish, like the potato chips you can't stop eating. Maybe little less quilty cause green beans! Also service was great, especially considering it was one guy doing everything. He saw my boyfriend dropped his chopstick and was immediately there with replacement chopsticks. Ninja waitor skills.

This restaurant has a small parking lot that’s fits about 5 cars. The food was delicious. The pork soup dumplings was juicy and tasty. My parents think the string beans and home style tofu was spicy but I think it was delicious. The sweet and sour pork ribs was my favorite, it bring back the memories of my grandma’s cooking.

Top Chinese food restaurant that is definitely worth coming. It doesn’t look very attracting from the outside but you can’t judge a book by its cover. My favorite was the pork soup dumpling.

Great food! I have been to this place several times.. I keep trying the same few dishes and I have never been disappointed! The salt pepper shrimp is a generous portion of very large shrimp immersed in delicious flavors but be prepared to eat them with the shell! Their homemade dumplings are outstanding and so are their soup dumplings and sauteed pea shouts leaves! The owner really cares about his kitchen!

The people working there were very nice. They have a nice outdoor seating area which is under a tent, providing some shade. The ramen was spectacular, and was especially good considering the price. The menu was small, but not in a bad way. I had the Tonkotsu. They let me lock my bike there and use the bathroom. Would recommend to a friend, and might stop buy again if I'm in the area!

This little restaurant is a gem! Very competitive price and real authentic food. I'm a Taiwanese traveling from Seattle and I'm blown away by its delicious food. Definitely recommend whoever is traveling to NY with a car.

My wife, friend and I decided to stop by and try out noodles at Menya Sandaime. My wife got Miso Ramen, my friend got Miso Ramen Vegetarian and I got Ankake Yaki Ramen. These ramen are ok, not great, but ok. My wife complained that her came with only 1 slice of pork, and mine came with too little (non-existant) Shrimp and Calamari. Too many vegetables not enough seafood. We prefer Santouku inside Mitsuwa market by Edgewater. Way better ramen than this place.

I am so excited to find another great authentic ramen restaurant in Northern Jersey. I even love the atmosphere of this place. The decore and even the music belongs to the 1960's Japan. The portions are huge. Even though I arrived starving, I left stuffed. I highly recommend trying the black ramen. It has a smoky flavor to delicious pork broth. I never tasted anything like it before.

Truly an authentic experience. As a very picky eater of Chinese food, this place may very well top my list. Fantastic service, good tea, BYOD and no MSG. All that is great, but the food is really what stands out. Every dish I've had there has been excellent. They do not weaken the flavor or spiciness of the dishes at all! The dishes with hot oil will numb your mouth and open up your taste buds. Favorite dish was that spicy hot oil noodle soup, it's basically a spicy hot pot, in noodle soup format. Best version of it that I've had in the tri state area. Even beats my favorite places in Queens. If you can handle the spiciness, definitely come here!

one of my favorite ramen and gyoza in BC

  • 5/5 Sang Ho O. 4 years ago on Google
THE ramen spot in the area. There is a closer one to my house that serves the best Kara Miso but Menya Sandaime has the Karakuchi ramen. NOTHING beats the Karakuchi (unless you don't like spicy). This store also won a recognition award and a reference off a newspaper for their gyoza. I'm not a huge gyoza guy but it's definitely worth a try. The place is very reminiscent to a small Japanese ramen restaurant (not the street booths but the small restaurant booths). It's a bit small and packed and when it's busy it may feel way too cramped. However the food is well worth it. Tip your waiting staff well people. These guys work hard and in a cramped environment which can get very stressful.

  • 5/5 Kevin H. 4 years ago on Google
Surely the best ramen in NJ! Very small dining area so be prepared to wait a few minutes. Both the ramen and gyoza are spectacular, definitely worth a visit!

  • 2/5 Alma V. 4 years ago on Google
The staff is very friendly and the food is alright. The main reason why I’m giving this a two is because the place needs cleaning and the back of house should not be used for guests. I rather wait 15 minutes than to be placed in a room that is better suited for staff or back of house.

Very delicious, prices were okay. But they sat us in the back. Where to me looked like where staff takes lunch. It was weird. View was terrible from there. Granted it was busy. But I could of waited to be in the main room. Guess not. I still had a good time. It was a funny experience to say the least. But food def made up for the mishap

The hot Tea is good, surprisingly, from real tea leaves! Others, um… soup dumplings look like handmade by trainee, meat/soup is ok. Scallion pancake is crispy but oily. Dishes are small. I would recommend another Soup Dumpling restaurant near and located at 2nd floor. PS: found a mosquito btw, not too big deal, more protein.

My all time favorite ramen spot! Noodles made on site Everything we’ve tried has been wonderful We have been back on many occasions and always bring new people with us! Extra pro: miso broth with no egg = vegan option !

This place is amazing. The Beef pan udon is one of the best things on the menu. The soup dumplings are exactly how I like them. The spicy beef soup and garlic cucumbers are staples and always other dishes I add on. The main guy / owner Simon is caring, always there and on point, and will take care of you in any circumstance. He also remembers everyone’s name which is impressive and a plus. Try it out if you haven’t. You won’t regret it.

Small family restaurant off of Main in Fort Lee. I use to dine in here often pre-covid but mostly do takeout and delivery now. Their food is well seasoned and not overly oily. I love their spicy wontons and pan fired dumplings. Their veggies are great too. they have a tiny parking lot in the back and a outdoor seating in the front.

Excellent Bonito Broth!!...but it was lukewarm... noodles reminds me of #8 spaghetti al'dente...to be fair, I will give them another try, but not anytime soon...

Great Ramen. Good service. Highly recommend.

  • 1/5 Dionne S. 3 years ago on Google
Food is mediocre. I've had better ramen else where. I had the black ramen. Broth was warm, not hot. Noodles were hard. Pork belly lacked flavor and texture. They dont clean tables and chairs thoroughly after each use. The menus are wooden and they don't clean them after each customer uses them. Staff needs to do better and follow proper CDC guidelines especially since COVID 19 cases are rising in the area. The staff is very loud and unprofessional when communicating amongst themselves, cursing etc... which makes for an unpleasant dining experience. Will not go back

Had a great time. Ramen came out fast and hot. They make their pasta in store and you can watch the people making it. Great environment. Cozy place. Friendly staff. Menu is really creative. 'Bar Seating' and tables. Take Cash and Cards.

Absolutely the best place to get ramen hands down!! I go at least once a month if possible. Between the broth and the noodles, this stuff is seriously the perfect bowl!! If I ever get sick this is all my body wants, especially the spicy one to clear out the sinuses. I feel like since I've found this place I can not live without it!!

  • 5/5 Huilin P. 3 years ago on Google
It’s my favorite ramen place. Fair price, excellent taste, friendly staff. I can’t think of anything I don’t like about it.

  • 3/5 Clarice H. 3 years ago on Google
Decent outdoor seating on the porch and driveway/parking lot in the back. The ramen was good for the value. I liked that they give you an option to substitute the pork for shrimp or tofu! The spicy ramen was more just pure spicy than full of flavor. The plating could also have used more care. The sides of the bowls were covered in oil splatters and was not very appealing.

OMG 😯😋 so yummy here! Had karakuchi ramen and gyoza and it was fantastic! Nice cozy place and great service. I'll be back.

  • 4/5 Kenneth K. 3 years ago on Google
Great quality noodles and chashu! The gyoza also had the delicious crispy stuck-to-the-pan bits you usually don't get. The tonkotsu broth was quite light for my taste, but still had a good flavor. I also definitely can't complain about the price!

I celebrated my nomination this evening in this delicious restaurant. I am glad to say that we passed a incredible evening and the restaurant was evidently one of the reasons for that successful gathering. The crew contributed in a very nice manner, the cooking was delicious and my friends were very delighted. We shall absolutely visit again for more joyful events. Thank you very much.

I should let the picture do all the talking 😁 But allow me 🤗🤗🤗 I will never know what it would be to eat this kind of food in the mother land but for now and until the end of time i will settle with this. The ramen I ordered was awesome I ordered with extra pork and noodles And why not!! .... you only live once The pork was so juicy and tender The broth...oh man I drink it out of the bawl no spoon for me🤗🤗🤗 I am always in the search for a better ramen adventure but for now I will be a regular in this restaurant.
