I never write reviews but this hotel was amazing in every way. Especially because hotels are not what they used to be the since the Pandemic. From the minute we walked in Omar greeted us with a warm welcome and got us checked in quickly to our beautiful room. Room was perfect and clean. Beds super comfortable, amazing for NYC with the size of the room. Slept great, they stored our bags for the day and then suggested they get us either a cab or car for the ride back to the airport. Amazing service, staff and hotel!

Such a great experience here. The staff is very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The bar lounge is so comfortable for relaxing and having a top notch drink. We loved having a private balcony and having access to the rooftop! We also loved the rain shower. Lovely to see world trade and the empire lit up at night from that vantage point. Our room rate also came with complimentary breakfast at the Dirty French and wow, it was delicious! The only areas for improvement are the bed frame is noisy- when you move at all it creaked, and it'd be appreciated to have a bigger table or nightstands bc there's not really anywhere to put your things. I would 100% stay again, and recommend this hotel. Thanks for a great stay!

Really beautiful swanky hotel. We splurged on the skybox loft. The fixtures, decorating, and views were superb. I loved the bathtub set up. Huge bathtub with city views, very fun. We didn’t get the chance to check out the restaurant to eat but it looked very cool. We loved coming back to the hotel throughout the day. I went back and forth for many months deciding which NYC hotel to spend our one night in and we are super happy we picked this one. Just be aware, I know most people don’t come with a car in to the city but we had one, coming from Connecticut and it’s very expensive to park your car, but to be expected in NY.

During my stay at Ludlow Hotel, I was captivated by the impeccable aesthetics that permeate the entire experience. From the moment you step into the lobby, where one can seamlessly transition from work to leisure over coffee, dinner, or cocktails, to the well-curated design of the studio queen room, the hotel exudes an inviting charm. The allure extends beyond guests, drawing in non-guests to savour the ambiance. The prime location in Lower East Side adds an extra layer of appeal, making Ludlow a delightful base for exploring the cultural treasures in the vicinity. During my stay, while the overall experience was positive, it's worth noting that the room, although aesthetically pleasing, could benefit from enhanced functionality. The 195-square-foot space, while adequate, posed a challenge in terms of storage, particularly for those with larger luggage. The bathroom, while visually appealing, could also use additional storage options. These considerations don't overshadow the overall positive experience but offer constructive insights for potential improvements. Ludlow Hotel has the potential to elevate its offering by addressing these practical aspects, ensuring a seamless blend of style and convenience for its guests.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Reception staff were brilliant and very helpful, the location, building, atmosphere, cleanliness and charm are all spot on. The bar area was fantastic. My only negative would be it was harder to get a drink from the table service than it should be.

You get what you pay for - and this is my new favorite hotel in the Lower East Side. Everything from service, to the rooms (views, comfy beds, city views from the terrace) to the lounge bar exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail is high, and I loved the eclectic, artsy decor. I felt lie I was stay in my friends chic apartment rather than a hotel. I will be returning on future visits to the city - THANK YOU to The Ludlow staff for an exceptional stay.

This hotel is GORGEOUS! We stayed in 2 different rooms both had either a terrace or balcony and beautiful skyline views. The service was impeccable and every inch of it beautifully decorated. We will definitely be staying here every time we visit.

Beautiful rooms but the customer service is what sets this hotel apart. I was staying nearby and wasn't happy with the service so called the Ludlow to see if they had any availability. They were able to find me a room and every staff member I interacted with went above and beyond. The rooms are beautiful and have the most thoughtful touches - comfy robes, beautiful bathroom with the best shower pressure, comfy pillows. Can't wait to stay here again.

The Ludlow Hotel is my go to accommodation when in NYC. The hotel is beautiful, decorated in a funky urban vibe and the staff there are consistently friendly and helpful. I stayed in a queen bed room and loved the views from the windows. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and very clean. Housekeeping does an amazing job and I loved the small details like the Nespresso coffee, toiletries and bath robes to make my stay even more comfortable. The lobby lounge serves a great cocktail and it’s a great place to cozy by the fireplace and read the newspaper. In the area are lots of cafes, restaurants and ice cream shops and a really lovely coffee shop next door. Of course the restaurant on-site is a must. Can’t wait to return again soon!

My daughter and I just spent 3 nights at The Ludlow for her 16th birthday. The property is gorgeous, wonderful atmosphere and design, very “grown up” and sophisticated - just perfect for her first big girl trip. The staff was so friendly and fun, they were very kind about her birthday, and left a note and treats in the room. Our room was so cozy and comfortable. The restaurant, Dirty French was delicious, and we enjoyed the hotel’s lounge with the fire! Super enjoyed everything about our stay!

Second time at this excellent hotel. Location is perfect, decor and friendly vibe are also top notch. I also had to orchestrate receiving a birthday gift during our short stay and the communications with front desk made this as pain-free as possible. Friendly staff, a lovely surprise bottle of fizz with a birthday message really topped it off a treat. If you want to feel welcome and spoiled in a cool understated way then this is the hotel for you.

Super stylish and hip hotel. I had to depart days before and they helped me not to be charged the days ahead and let me have a late checkout. That was highly appreciated. Also, highly appreciated was the super stylish bathroom, with the bathtub views of Lower East Village. Not an ordinary hotel in NYC -recommended especially for people that loves high aesthetics.

Let me say that I’m a bit biased towards the LES. In my opinion it’s the coolest area in Manhattan. This hotel was nice, clean, and I enjoyed the decor. The suite was a bit of an odd layout and reminiscent of an old NYC apartment, but I thought it was pretty cool notwithstanding. Perhaps the best of all is that they welcomed my (very unfriendly) dog, who seemingly enjoyed the California King more than I did.

My husband and I spent last Christmas at the Ludlow and it was a very nice experience. What I liked: - The lounge was amazing and well decorated with a nice fireplace. -We liked the possibility to order drinks and food directly at the lounge -The people working at the front desk were very nice and professional -The hotel and the room were very clean and beautiful. What I would improve: -We stayed for more than 3 days so the bedrooms (queen studio) was too small and we were missing space to open our luggage. I wouldn't have minded for a 2 days trip though. -I would suggest you tell your clients if the possibility to eat the the lounge is unavailable for whatever reason (we didn't know during Christmas day and had to find a place to eat at 8pm - not a real issue in NYC though) -I had the feeling clients of the restaurant had access to the lounge as well and I found it a bit odd as it is already small and it is a great amenty for the clients of the hotel. -The food at the Dirty French was not great. We ate there just once and were disappointed. Despite some room for improvement, it was a great experience: the hotel is clean and beautiful, the service was amazing and the staff was so nice. I would go back with no hesitation!

Out of all the beautiful places to stay in Manhattan this has been and continues to remain my favorite place to stay in all of Manhattan. Whether you’re looking for ambience, comfort, services, dining, location, or quality this place blows any other place out of the water. From the moment you walk into the cozy yet posh lobby, you are greeted by the most sincere and helpful staff. As you check in you’re surrounded by one of the most popular, bustling restaurant and lounges, Dirty French, that always keeps the place feeling alive and welcoming. Once you get to your room, you realize this is not just a hotel it’s a cozy sanctuary. The attention to detail and guest services are top of the line. Laundry and dry cleaning on site with even the option for overnight cleaning in case you’re in a pinch. Walking distance to a plethora of various shopping opportunities specifically Soho being only blocks away. The views are immaculate out of any window you look out of and the staff is so helpful regardless of what you may need. If you’re looking for a GREAT hotel stay at the Ludlow.

We had such a perfect winter getaway week with our kids at the Ludlow. The fireplace, the decor, the staff, the deep bathtubs, everything was so wonderful. The two bedroom suite is a God-send for families! I only wished for a larger nightstand and earlier coffee.

My wife and daughter stayed there for our Christmas holiday. Everyone was so personal and great. Loved the vibe and the location was spot on. Can't say enough good, from house keeping and more. They even had a Christmas buffet in the bar inclusive to all hotel guests. It was such a nice gesture and I do believed everyone loved it!! The rooms, depending, are small but have everything you need. My family travels from Georgia and usually we stay in the Columbia Circle area The LudLow is now our go to hotel. The lower east side is where it's at. Can't wait until our next visit.

I photographed Michelle and Ellis here before they got married at City Hall. As a wedding photographer I see many hotel rooms and this one really stood out because of the variety of photo opportunities. They visited from the UK so being able to get out on the porch and get some photos of New York in the background was great!

I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW GREAT THIS HOTEL IS!!!! We’re not through with our stay and I can’t express how great this place is. Firstly it’s a deal. Great neighborhood and the price is amazing. Secondly the staff..every single person is so friendly and helpful. If you are staying anywhere else in New York it’s the wrong decision.

This location can’t be beat! The interior is well thought out and very comfortable feeling. The furniture is tasteful and it’s beautiful in the lobby! The rooms are immaculately clean, although small, it was a perfect place for two friends to catch up.

Despite the tiny room size, The Ludlow manages to have an expensive feel and is in a perfect location. We stayed a couple nights in a queen room, which was quite tight with very little surface space or storage. The decor and details helped compensate for that. I'm an easy sleeper but the bed was horrible - uncomfortable and creaky as all get out. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious (for the overall room size) but again, very little surface area. Anything placed on the small counter space was overheated by the lights above. Rain shower was very pleasant and the overall brass look is nice. Our view from the 11th floor was accessible via a Juliet balcony, looking out over E Houston and the Lenin statue. The blackout curtain kept light out effectively. The lobby and terrace area looked very nice and stayed busy with patrons, but we didn't stay on site for drinks or food since there are so many options in the area. We interacted minimally with staff, but they were kind, helpful, and efficient, and allowed us to check in about two hours early. The two complementary waters were a godsend in the summer heat.

We had a lovely 4 day stay at The Ludlow. My husband and I found them to be kind and incredibly accommodating. Our flight arrived early (11:00 am) so we expected our bags to be held for a few hours while the room was being prepared. They kindly allowed us to check-in upon arrival! The room was comfortable with lovely finishes. Square footage was limited, but that’s to be expected in NYC. There was enough room for both of our large suitcases to be stored. Shower was beautiful with great water pressure. Location was spectacular if you’re looking for great restaurants and world class cocktail bars within walking distance. We would absolutely stay here again!

All staff was helpful and friendly in a very relaxed way. The rooms are super clean and have terrific details; lobby lounge is coziest place I’ve seen…roaring fireplaces and warm textures. Great spot with a great roof deck view.

The staff were great, the location is great. There’s a nice rooftop. I loved that most of the windows open/close and the terrace. We had a beautiful view from the queen skybox lounge however there was virtually no space to store anything, which was crucial given we were staying here for a nearby wedding. The closet was very small and there being two of us, we had to request an extra clothes rack which took away from the seating area and view. Further, while the decor was nice, it lacked functionality. Petrified wood bedside tables have a place but not in this room. The bedside tables need the main thing the room is missing: drawers and/or storage. Same with the bathroom, the vanity is cool but lacks storage functionality. This is understandable given small rooms are quite common in New York, however, my partner had multiple conversations with the staff here when selecting our room and not once we were told of the limited storage space. Staff should share with guests that there is very very limited closest space/storage. We relocated hotels after the weekend as we needed more storage and a work station. Don’t get me wrong, we enjoyed our time but I left wanting more given the nightly price.

Booked a room here for my birthday last week and it was an amazing stay. I loved my room on the 15th floor. I booked a king size room with a balcony and it was the perfect size. The decor and ambiance is so full of character and charm without looking old. I had a view of the Brooklyn bride, one world trade, and Empire State. That is VERY rare. I would definitely stay here again. The lobby and outdoor space were super cute and the location is fantastic. The staff was very nice and accommodating as well. 5 out of 5 stars for sure.

This is a wonderful hotel in just about every respect. The staff are welcoming and helpful from the first, the lobby is fabulous, the rooms are lovely with great beds and sheets and showers, the views from the rooms and the gym and roof terrace are outstanding, the food and ambience at the hotel restaurant are superb. We also love the location, close to the 6 train and surrounded by amazing neighbourhood restaurants and also walking distance to the Brooklyn Bridge and all Dumbo has to offer.

This place doesn't wash it's sheets or blankets. The rooms are dimmly lit. First night we got back late and passed out only to wake up to a big deep red crusty stain on the inside of the comforter which can only be described as blood. We asked for a new one. We woke up the next morning to a bright room only to find a bigger browner stain on this comforter next to our face. Cool. Should have left and counted our loses.

Truly a special and wonderful hotel. I stayed in a Skybox Loft and the view was amazing. The room was spotless and well appointed. The atmosphere of the entire hotel is relaxing and inviting. If you can, allow yourself an extra day to really make the most of the hotel, it’s views and amenities.

Beautiful and clean and classy. Friendly staff. Excellent Old Fashion in cozy bar. Delicious pastry boxes for those waking early in need of breakfast. In room Nespresso always a plus. Highly recommend.

Beautiful room we stayed in, the huge tub and shower were fantastic. The location of The Ludlow was convenient enough for subways, with most things in walking distance. Have to love having Katz' deli across the street, although that's a once-a-trip pleasure to enjoy. Service was prompt and pleasant, the room was clean and the view even from the basic room we picked was nice. Overall a great hotel experience. Recommended.

I stayed here 10/30 - 11/02 and it was truly the perfect experience. Staff was super friendly upon arrival. The room was spotlessly clean and adorable. Loved the snacks and mini bar selection. Dirty French room service was GREAT - got late night (1am!) french fries and chocolate gelato delivered to my room and I told my friend it was one of the best "meals" I had my whole trip! My entire trip I only took the subway to go to Brooklyn for a dinner. Otherwise everything I wanted to do was WALKING DISTANCE FROM THE HOTEL. Seriously, loved every minute of this trip and staying at Ludlow was a huge part of it. I cannot wait to come back. THANK YOU!

The Ludlow was the most beautiful hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying. The room was spotless; the staff was friendly, helpful, and kind. The lobby, dining room, and room aesthetics were the perfect combination of masculine and comfortable. Everyone from the doorkeepers, front desk, and Restaurant Manager Nelson were top-notch, ensuring we were taken care of at every turn. We will surely be back and have peace of mind knowing that we will have a great stay.

The ambiance in the bar area is fantastic. Super cozy and sexy, but can be casual at the same time. The bar program is classic and modern, my gin martini was well-balanced and made well. Always a good sign when the bartenders know their classics! A quick stop in or even a date night works here.

  • 5/5 Mark S. 1 year ago on Google
Great rooms, excellent service and good vibes in the lobby bar and restaurant. Live band on Sunday afternoon and a fire roaring in the lounge while hotel guests drink coffee and enjoy lunch. Rooms are very comfortable - splurge on the queen bed rooms with balconies on the higher floors. Would definitely return to this hotel next time we are in NYC.

Great hotel: The room and bathroom are really nicely decorated with hardwood floor and were perfectly cleaned. It is far better than all the other "big box" hotels of the lower east side! The hotel is very quiet. You have quite a view if you ask for a upper floor room. The rooftop is amazing. The area is perfect.

  • 5/5 Geoff B. 1 year ago on Google
The Ludlow was very classy. Upon checking in, we were given a nice glass of whiskey. There is a great lobby bar as well as a full bar/eatery. We went up to our room which had an amazing view of Manhattan. We soon headed up to the rooftop which had an even better view. I would highly recommend Ludlow as it's a surrounded by great bars and food as well as located near buses and the subway.

Wife and I stayed here for a getaway. Amazing staff - so so kind and helpful. It makes all the difference. Incredible ambiance, great cocktails, etc. Our views were amazing, the room was very nice. Everything is small, but you expect that in New York and it almost adds to the vibe. The shower did not get very hot, but that was probably the only negative. Would def come back!

  • 4/5 Ema L. 1 year ago on Google
I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and really liked it. The rooms have a lot of character and the view was incredible. They also have a nice gym on the top floor with 360 views. My reason for the 4 star is that the rooms have very little storage space e.g. super tiny bedside tables, extra slim shelves in the bathroom. So good for 1 person but definitely too tight for too people - and we had a king loft so not the cheaper room. Something else worth mentioning is the lighting in the room - it’s very dark. And the only mirror can be found in the bathroom. So if two of you want to get ready at the same time - you can’t! The restaurant/ bar area also needs work as I had to wait over 1 hour for a burger which we ended up cancelling. Never got an apology from the waiter either. Overall I would recommend it but hopefully our feedback will be acted on.

The Ludlow boasts a European flare with eclectic interior design motifs (picture Paris' Left Bank meets The Lower East side meets The Wild West). The staff is professional, welcoming and friendly, and the service is impeccable. Whether enjoying brunch or a three-course dinner, the cuisine is consistently clean and lean. Finally, The human-scale of the foyer, dining room, bar and lounge areas welcome the sunlight by day, and feature a warm, candlelight effect by night. We could not be more pleased with our experience.
