I have been to a few observatories before in Newyork and Chicago. I certainly think this one is a most amazing experience I had. The staff was disciplined and friendly. No major wait they called inside and offered shoe covers. We entered into a kind of darkroom with amazing lights. The decks are divided into different zones each with its own new experience one better than other. I just loved the entire concept of the mirrors which creates illustrations and its so satisfying. There is a place where you can buy a drink or food and you can enjoy it with one of the greatest outside views. There is a special balloon room created and I think it is one of the best places you can click pictures. The place has all the glass which makes it available to capture photos from every angle. There is a deck made so you can take all 360-angle photos. The views from the building are so breathtaking. We visited the place in the evening time just before and after sunset which made the place looks so great. There is an additional 20-dollar tickets for another view above a few more floors. I highly recommend this place and it's worth every penny I spent. Target sunset for the most mesmerizing views.

Not only do you have a view of New York City, you also have entertainment for young and old. It's simply fun for everyone. The food is also good with delicious coffee and cake. Highly recommended!

The Summit One Vanderbilt was such a unique observation deck experience and I definitely recommend it! We got the 5:30-6:00pm time slot which does cost more morning/afternoon time slots but it was worth it since we got to see the day time, sunset and night time views - but check when the sun sets and book accordingly! It was really busy and crowded with everyone trying to get the perfect shot, but aside from that, the views were amazing and the entire concept of the mirrors on the floor and ceiling made it really different than the typical observation deck. There are many different rooms to visit, an area with silver balloons and two other floors that are all covered in the Basic ticket - don’t spend extra money and get the upgraded tickets because the basic one already covers a lot. All in all, we really enjoyed this experience and would definitely recommend.

Even with reservations, the wait time just to get into the facility is extremely long, so if you wanted to see the sunset, keep in mind the long lineup, mostly due to the security check. They will check your items, ask you to put cover on your shoes, and take your photo (Self at Kiosks). Then you need to wait again for the elevators in a cool tunnel. The elevators also have cool lighting and sound effects. Once you are up there, keep in mind that it is ALL ONE WAY experience and you cannot come back to the room once you are at the end of the floor. Some rooms, such as the one with the balloons, have a time-limit, but try to spend as much time as you want in the room because you cannot come back. After two full floors of interesting rooms, you are led to an outdoor patio and souvenir shop. The overall experience felt rather short, but it was worthwhile to visit at least once.

Summit was very interesting. The elevator ride was very fast getting to the 91st floor. You could barely feel that you were moving at all. Once you get near the observation decks the view is amazing. Not to be overlooked is the fact that the floor and walls are mostly mirrors that make it look like there are multiple levels or absolutely nothing under you but the street 1000' below. We didn't go on the glass elevator as it was an extra $20. Also, if you go at "peak" times like dusk or sunset they add $10. Overall I thought it was worth the time(2-3 hrs) being you don't have a time limit. The pictures we took are amazing. I would highly recommend.

Summit One Vanderbilt is the absolute best place to see New York from up high! It's hard to put into words how amazing this experience is. To start, getting up there can take a bit because you need to take pictures at the bottom, but trust me, it's worth it. The elevator ride is like a mini-adventure and gets you all excited. When you step into the observatory, get ready to be amazed by the incredible views of New York. There's so much to do there, not just looking at the view. For me, this is the best observation deck, especially if you love taking pictures. I'd suggest going in the evening for the sunset – the pictures turn out amazing. It's a good idea to book ahead because buying tickets on the day might not work out. At the end of the visit, I loved the "finished line" where there's an outdoor rooftop bar and space. It's a perfect way to end your fantastic time there. Summit One Vanderbilt is not just about looking at the view, it's a whole experience you'll love! 🌆✨🏙️

Have been to all the Observatories in New York City and in my opinion this is THE best!! Our experience was just amazing. The views are spectacular, perfect time to go during sunset! We were lucky to witness a gorgeous sunset as well as a full moon! The rooms are very well designed. The glass of this observatory is awesome, the photos come out amazing. We went on a weekend, there was a little bit of line to get to the elevator but that's totally understandable! It is totally worth the money! And if you are a photographer you will be not be disappointed with the shots from here. Everyone is given a shoe cover before going into the elevator. There is water fountain and restrooms at every floor. Overall, a must visit if you are in NYC and if you have to visit just one observatory, will suggest to go to this one.

The once in a lifetime experience is coming to the summit! I’ve been to all the observations decks in nyc and my favorite is the summit. First time here and definitely won’t be the last, I visited for photography day this past Friday watching the sunrise at 5am! Limited number of people got to enjoy this spectacular view and time slot. It’s very interactive from bottom floor to top floor, I like that we have to wear protective shoe wear to protect the place and also good because I see how it helps keep this clean. So much space to roam around and in the bathroom the views don’t stop! The sky lounge or dinning area is very nicely done, I’m beyond happy I went and enjoyed it on my girlfriend birthday weekend full of adventures!

We have done top of the rock, which is a great experience, but had we known about this place first we would have come here and enjoyed it a little more. The views are great from any observation tower available in the city but this with the added art and added see-through observation floor option, it was a lot more to see. The mirrors create such a mind blowing illusion, you can't help but walk around stare. The third floor has an outside observation deck, Cafe, gift shop, and place to order photos taken throughout the experience. When buying tickets you have to pick a time to visit, so book online or plan ahead to be able to enjoy the experience when you want to, not when you have to (if you don't have the flexibility). I would recommend this for sure.

A breathtaking experience. I’ve been to all of the NYC decks, this one is the best. Its location is ideal, providing true 360 degrees views. But it’s much more than that. They created a unique experience, which is just phenomenal. One thing I do feel they should be saying is that once you go from one deck to another (there are 3 floors) - you actually can’t go back. We weren’t aware of that, as they are not saying it upfront, and it was a shame really since we did want to go back to the lower level. Other than that, just go and enjoy one of the best views and attractions New York has to offer. You won’t regret it!

Absolutely amazing experience. I always wondered what the big hype was over The Summit One Vanderbilt, and now we get it! The whole experience is a sensory overload- but in a good way! The views, the lights, the music, and the activities are all phenomenal. Location - easy to get to either walking or by subway, as it is literally a part of the Grand Central Station. Ques are long, regardless if you have a time slot, but they do move pretty quickly. But the fun starts as soon as you are through the line, a motion picture, about The Summit, the photo opportunity and then a face scanner for the clouds, after this, its a short walk through the mirrored walk way, with flashing lights and into the elevator. This opens up on to the mirror room and spectacular views of NYC, accompanied with soft relaxing sounds/music and gentle changing of lights. This room is so relaxing and could spend forever in there. There is so much for the family to see and do, only downside is trying to get a photo at the windows because they are always people there. Thanks for the lady on the outside observation deck who had a telescope, made my daughter and husband very happy people, when she let them look through it to see Saturn. Amazing!!! Unsure if this is wheelchair accessible, although there is lifts to each floor, I didn't see anyone in a wheelchair & on this occasion, our daughter didn't take hers as didn't need it this night. But would be good to know for future visits.

Surprisingly a great visit for a central New York observatory. Almost felt like a theme park roller coaster to get up to the observation deck but you’re greeted with amazing views of Manhattan, Brooklyn/queens, New Jersey, and key sights such as Central Park, the Chrysler building, the Empire State Building, and the financial district. Great to be able to have a drink on the turf observation deck, and the mirror rooms and balloon room was a fun touch. Spent over an hour up on the observation decks but covid have spent many hours taking in that view.

The view is amazing, untouched by any other observation deck in the city. But. It’s a complete and utter tourist trap. They take every possible opportunity to get you spending more money on trinkets and gimmicks. Standing in line, I felt like I was at a theme park, when I really just wanted to see a gorgeous view. To get inside, you’re basically herded like cattle through a maze of gimmicks: a 5 minute movie about how they built SUMMIT with strangely emotional undertones, gross fabric booties that are not advertised or pictured in any marketing material that you are required to wear throughout the space, and some other tech-y photo filter gimmicks. After all that, you’re taken upstairs to the 91st floor, where the sheer volume of people is completely overwhelming when paired with the fact that the floor is a mirror, which is spatially quite disorienting. The layered glass and mirrored space is really something to experience, and next to the breathtaking views of the city, beyond beautiful. Unfortunately, many people were ruthless in their pursuit of photos, mostly of themselves in front of the magnificent backdrop. A woman sat posing on the floor for pictures for almost 20 minutes in front of a particularly nice shot of the Empire State Building, so I decided to take some photos of her too since that was apparently all I was going to get. People were also touching the glass with their faces, hands, and tongues for pictures, which made the glass kind of gross and smeared. Overall, it’s a gorgeous view and a creative concept. I’m glad I got to see it once, but that will probably be all for me.

Where should I even start? First of all, I know many people will say going during sunset will be nice, but going there at night is where it’s at! Trust me!!! First of all once you get to the place, you will wait in a long line, so I recommend you to come at least 30 min before your ticket time/ reservation! 🕰️ Second of all, you will have to wear a cover on your shoes to not make the place dirty! So that’s another thing to keep in mind! Def wear a mask if you feel sick or if you are scared of getting 😷 because there a lot of people! Finally once you get to the top, you will see the most amazing view of NYC ⚡️🌃! You will also see the Empire State Building right in front of you! The atmosphere is so fun, the colourful lights are so aesthetic and it’s such a vibe 😍! You then will walk and see some other arty stuff like in the pics! It’s very sensory and if you like these stuff you will just want to sit down on the floor and would look at NY for hours! I totally recommend coming here if you can, especially if it’s your first time in NEW YORK! It’s amazing! ❤️

The bar at the terrace offers the best drinks we’ve tried in New York so far!!! I would recommend to buy your tickets in advance at their official website and choose the option of paying for your drinks (in advance as well) since you’ll save $5 per drink by doing this. I would NOT RECOMMEND to buy the photo package they offer since that’s one of the worst photo shoots I’ve ever seen. There’s a long line to enter and go through security, after that they take you some pictures that you won’t need if you don’t opt out to get their pictures, and then you follow the line to the elevators. Once at floor 91, the experience starts: it’s a room full of mirrors with amazing city views. After that, there’s a room with giant drops on the floor (those look like quicksilver to me), then a space where they take pictures of you on a glass balcony (you have 30-45 seconds to take your own) and then there’s room full of silver balloons. After that, you keep going to floor 92, there’s a glass internal terrace, and a room with screens playing a cloud effect. Finally, you go upstairs to floor 93 where you can find another terrace and the cafe/bar. It’s worth every penny to get a drink while you watch the city and enjoy those amazing views. In general, it was a great experience.

We were there the two of us and it was so much fun. Definitely the highlight of our 7 day stay in NYC i recommend. Although there are long times waiting for the elevators especially going down you can easily wait standing for up to 2 hours but we got lucky and had about 20 minutes. The view is spectacular and the overall experience was incredible.

We ended up going to The Summit on the one day it was to rain in NYC; but we already had the day planned so wanted to stick to schedule. Make sure you don’t make the same mistake we did and go to The Summit instead of SUMMIT One Vanderbilt . The staff at The Summit will direct you to Summit One Vanderbilt which I was very appreciative of. When we arrived, there was a super long line, but it went extremely fast. After we got in and went through security, we headed 90+ floors up to what we came for and WOW. Incredible. Now take it for what its worth, it wasn’t raining when we went, but it was extremely foggy. We still made the most of it though and had an incredible time. The views are unmatched and the experience is like none other. Although there is a little bit of a price tag just like any exhibit to go into in New York City, this one is definitely worth it. I highly recommend this to anybody from family’s to couples. Its an awesome time for everyone!

I've been to The Empire State observation deck, Top of The rock, One World Observatory and SUMMIT One Vanderbilt. By far, this is the one I have liked the most. I was very lucky with the weather. It was very sunny. Almost too much. Good thing that they gave you sunglasses if you needed them. The views from this tower are amazing. I liked particularly the view on the Chrysler Building, which is very close and you can see from above. Central part is a bit too far and you do not get to see it very well, but the rest of Manhattan is very close. There is one part of the visit where you can stand on a glass floor and take a picture. There was a 15 minute queue for this, and I don't think it's worth it. Other than that, I loved the visit.

I was waiting for months to finally get to NYC and have this experience in summit. I was so excited to be there. We bought our tickets in advance but just 24 hours before our visit so it was easy to get in on a weekday. You have to go trough in some security control but it’s totally fine and you don’t have to wait for long. The employees are amazingly kind and helpful. The view and the different rooms are breathtaking and so much fun. I definitely recommend this little adventure to everyone. Kids and adults can both enjoy the magic equally.

This place is SPECTACULAR! So much more than just a nice city view. The rooms were immersive and visually stunning. The wait wasn’t bad, either. They have a cute bar you can visit before you leave, which was nice. Drinks are pricey but strong so you get your money’s worth. Highly recommended!!

Arrived before my booked time and it takes about 10-15 minutes to get into the doors, and then admission and security. It was packed and hard to see the views or walk without nearly tripping over someone laying down and taking pictures. I had to wait a bit to get the opportunity to look outside, and take pictures. The views are gorgeous, and certain areas/ floors were quite trippy, so I would maybe urge caution if you easily get dizzy or have vertigo. Staff were really nice as well, so that was good. They also warn of any sensitivity to light before entering the elevators, so that was appreciated.

Super fun experience in each room. It was so amazing viewing NY from here! We bought the tickets in advance for the 9:30AM time. There was a good amount of people already here. I think I would consider going at the 9:00AM time (right when it opens) if I go back next time to be less crowded.

This was more of an experience than just taking in the view of the NYC skyline. Beyond anything I could've imagined. We did have unpredictable weather and got some pretty dense fog. But even with the cloud coverage it was an amazing experience! We had the Ultimate Night Out Flexible Entry for 7:00pm ($69/person + tax; which was pricey) but it was worth every penny! Unfortunately, because of the weather conditions, we were unable to go into the glass elevator. However, the Summit staff was very accommodating and refunded that portion of our experience. Stayed there for over 3 hours taking in the views and the different rooms and levels. Loved their cocktails and the outside lounge area. We will be coming back when we visit NY again.

I am a thrifty person and forking out $50+ for a city view did not seem like it was worth it… my friends persuaded me otherwise and holy cow it was worth it! If you are going to pay for a city view in NYC choose this one. Not only is it a 360 degree view but it is an experience. There are so many fun rooms. Our 5 month old daughter loved the ballon room, she could be entertained for hours in there! The views are stunning. We went an hour before sunset and stayed so we could see the city both during the day and at night. Glad we did so we could get good pictures when the sun wasn’t too bright. Early morning or sunset is best time for pics. It does get bright so bring sun glasses if you don’t want to use the ones they provide you. Also online it says there are no lockers and no bags allowed. We brought our stroller and diaper bag in and it was no problem. Lots of workers helped us find the elevators so we didn’t have to take the escalators on the upper levels. Book in advance because spots fill up quick and get there early, there will be a line.

Prepare to run out of phone memory from all the photos you'll be taking. The views from the summit are spectacular on all 4 sides (including the bathrooms have floor to ceiling windows). I recommend dedicating easily 2+ hours for this attraction as there are interactive things to do in every floor. I'd say show up two hours before sunset (cheaper tickets) and then spend the hours leading up to sunset exploring the first 2 floors before going up to the terrace as you cannot go back down to the other floors once you move up. Overall highly recommend and can see myself taking friends and family there in the future.

Great experience overall. Mind-bending use of mirrors and amazing views. There were a number of different rooms or zones across three floors with the first and second dedicated to the main experience and the third more of an outdoor viewing area and bar. The mirrors in the lift and the first area had the wow-factor as did the room with the silver balloons. The clouds room was a bit odd but was cool to watch for a short while. It got very busy around sunset with people sitting and clogging the window space, but it didn’t detract from the experience. The ‘levitation’ glass floored platform was good, but I don’t feel it gave the full effect of the drop. Overall, we had a great evening and it was worth the cost. Very memorable.

The summit was a good experience. The view was nice and the mirrors was funny. In the elevator was to much people. 10 in a small elevator and this in Covid-19 time. We spend some time here. You should be ready to your appointment. If you are to late you can’t get in.

Went there on the opening day. *3 types of tickets, if you find one type of them are sold out, try the general admission one. *You can upgrade your ticket or buy the transparent elevator experience there (more expensive than the ticket that covers everything). (I personally don’t think the elevator experience worth 20+ dollars) * a lot of people, need some patience to find/wait for the perfect photo spot * It’s absolutely amazing, pick a day that has nice weather. I love the sunset

Honestly is not what it look like.. Even if you purchase tickets in advance be prepared to wait at least 30-45 minutes or an hour in line to get in. We went at 12:00pm on a Sunday. It was too crowded you could barely take nice pictures without having people walking around. There’s nice views but u don’t get the point to see structures lol Food was okay. Expected more…

I would say it is the best skyscraper in NYC! Captivating view of the Empire State building, Chrysler building and others. I was enthralled by its view and design. It was visiting after sunset. Very busy on weekends. It is at a walking distance from the Central union station.

A unique experience that I recommend to everyone! If you suffer from vertigo you may risk not enjoying it fully, but it is still doable. Price-wise it's definitely expensive, but it's really worth it. I recommend booking your tickets in advance. Tip for girls: avoid heeled shoes. To prevent the floor from being ruined, they provide protective devices to wear over your shoes. The experience doesn't have a duration, but overall it takes 1-2 hours. If you buy the "SUMMIT Ascent" or "Ultimate SUMMIT" ticket, I do not recommend going up the glass elevator for those who are afraid of heights.

One of the best observation decks we visited in NYC! I only wish we booked it for the sunset, as the views would be so much better, and the Sun wouldn't be so bright. One thing they don't mention is that, because there are mirrors everywhere, the Sun reflects very brightly. I don't recommend going there without sunglasses! The line may seem very long but it moves really quickly! We had a tour for 10 am on Sun, and I believe we got on top within 35-40 min. Worth the wait anyway. And you need reservation! No place in NYC can be visited without reservation; that's my option.

It was an amazing experience. The only thing I wish they would do differently is inform you that the picture you take when entering is the picture they use for most all of the picture book. If I'd known that we would have removed our coats, hats and bags.

The observatory deck is impressive, with a modern vibe. The entry line manageable. The experience became frustrating when people sat on the floor and lingered for hours doing timelapses on their phones. It's essential for staff to ensure a more controlled environment so everyone can enjoy the views after paying 60 dollars.

Really bad experience, nothing alike to what you expect with the advertising, the place is super packed, I mean I know is not exclusive but this place really takes away all the magic putting so much people at once, Nice views of the city if you get to a window, but all the floors and mirrors are super dirty, not a single space to take a photo. Staff looks tired not too friendly and so little information. Not recommended for the expensive price or even as a tourist activity I think you will get a better experience somewhere else.

As a tourist, this is a must visit attraction when in Manhattan. Provides you the opportunity to experience different sensory and art exhibits with spectacular views of the city. The mirror room is really cool and so is the room with the balloons. It’s a bit pricey but I recommend paying extra for the sunset view - it was well worth it. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

Summit One Vanderbilt is truly an amazing place to visit. It is located in downtown NYC. We decided to purchase our tickets ahead of time online to avoid lines. Upon arrival, you're given shoe covers to protect floors. Ladies, be cautious of short skirts or city views won't be the only show. You're taken to the 91st floor on an illumated elevator to a beautiful view of the entire city from high above. Floors and ceilings are completely made of mirror glass, and each room offers a different sensory adventure. You're welcome to stay along as you want. They have a cafe with coffee and pastries as well as a gift shop.

Went on a date with my bf and it was an amazing experience. We went on a nonbusy night on Monday and it was no wait at all. You take pictures that you don't have to buy. One of them is required if you want to see your face in an interactive exhibit. Then you enter through an amazing elevator, and three levels of interactive experience. Each level allows for different panoramic experience. They do have different see-through experiences for the most basic package. It's so worth it for seeing many landmark buildings such as the Chrysler, empire state, and metlife. You can also see Bryant park. The balloon experience is one of a kind. The bar is about 20$ a drink, but very nice treat to have, whether indoor or outdoors. 5/5 recommend for night time view.

I went with the family to the Summit. This was the kids first time to the top of a skyscraper, and it will be memorable. We had tickets, but there is still bit of a process before boarding the elevator to the top. We had watched the videos about the experience (maybe we shouldn't have, and been surprised), and it almost lived up to the hype. We did enjoy it and we probably spent 30 minutes at the top. There was a little crowd, but not so much that it impacted our experience. We got tons of pictures and enjoyed it. It was good, but just didn't feel like a 5 star experience.

This was pretty cool, I had purchased this on Expedia. The queue wasn't too big. The staff were really helpful and friendly. There are lots of cool rooms to explore and you can see the whole city from the highest floor. I do recommend this experience it's very fun and cool.

Visited in August, 2023. I've most of the high-rise views in NYC. While they all are excellent, the Summit One in the Vanderbilt Building is my favorite. My family of four went in the early evening on a clear day. The views outside are breathtaking and the several viewing areas inside are excellent. There are lots of mirrored surfaces and all glass exterior walls that make dramatic effects. If you go during the daytime, bring your own sunglasses or use the ones that are provided. Inside the observation area is a bar and semi-restaurant lounging area. There is also an outdoor open air area where you can feel the air up high. If you are going to NYC and haven't visited the Summit One, you need to put it on your list. It is in high demand, so buy your tickets in advance and show up a little early for your appointment time. Spend as much time as you can in the observation area. You will have a blast!

Definitely worth the price of admission, even without the extras. We got the earliest booking on a Thursday and with clear skies, it was beautiful. For 9am entry got there at 8:30 and the line was not long but immediately after that it got longer. We spent about two hours leisurely walking around. Clean restrooms, water bottle filling station. Can sit at the garden cafe as long as you want.

They have 3 types of tickets. General, ascent and ultimate summit. Its not only an experience for one observation deck or one floor but they have covered 3 floors 91st,92nd and 93rd where 91st floor is a one-story mirrored space, called Affinity, which is filled with hundreds of whimsically lightweight metallic balloons. They hover across the room and are enclosed behind the floor-to-ceiling glass panels that make up the glass and terra cotta curtain wall of One Vanderbilt. 92nd floor brings guests to the top of the main two-story atrium to a mezzanine vantage point called Transcendence 2. The next room, called Levitation, is fitted with two all-glass boxes that protrude from the western side of the edifice. 93rd level is APRÈS, a Nordic themed lounge and café featuring bespoke light fare and an innovative cocktail program curated by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events and it has the glass elevator. Overall it was the best and must visit skyscraper.

Terrible experience that's by no means worth almost 70$ a person. First of all, when we booked on the website it stated that the tickets were 42$ regular price + 10$ sunset fee. Once you go to your cart to check out, it turns out that the tickets are actually 62$ and you also need to pay an obscene amount of taxes and fees, bringing your ticket up to almost 70$ for person. I wouldn't mind paying that for an exclusive experience as they advertise, but this is anything but exclusive. Even though you arrive at your designated time, you wait in a line for about an hour before you can access the viewpoints. Once you finally reach the first level, you realize that this place is influencer central. There is an obscene amount of people in the building, making it hard to enjoy the view and take pictures of the scenery. It also doesn't help that the glass is dirty and clearly hasn't been cleaned in a while. We were unlucky and ended up going with a rainy/foggy day and the visibility was limited. There was no sunset to enjoy at all. You would expect they would at least refund the sunset fee, but this obviously doesn't happen. I am not new to nyc and I've done other observation decks, this is by far the worst.

The beginning of our Summit experience was off to a very rocky start because security wouldn’t allow me to bring in my luggage (read the VERY fine print in your email), but thankfully, I found an honest food truck guy right outside who was willing to hold it for me for $20/hr. It only lasted an hour and he kept it up top, so that was nice. Once we got through the lines and started the experience, it was really neat. The elevator goes really fast up to floor 91/92, so brace your ears for pressure changes. Once up top, there are four floors I believe that you can walk in and tour. They all have a different experience and all are worth seeing even for a few minutes. You can go on your own time and own pace when you get there, which was really nice. All in all, I would recommend doing the SUMMIT tour. For roughly $50/person, it was very memorable and a great place for pictures

It was like ten experiences in one. Thank you to my boyfriend for discovering this beautiful place. We had a great time wandering around all of the rooms which have so many different features. It made me feel like a child again, especially the room full of balloons and the virtual cloud display where you can see your own face in the clouds! Looking down through the glass floor in the hall of mirrors was fascinating. We had a delicious old fashioned cocktail on the terrace at the end, watching the night sky. It was incredible at sunset because you see all of the changing colours as you climb up through the rooms. A way to see New York that you won't forget.

Summit is in my top 5 NYC attractions. Views are simply awesome, it's an experience I reccomend no matter if you are going by your own or with family/friends. You are going to love it. You will learn history about whole building, have the chance to take cool pictures and videos. Also there is a gift shop and a bar. I loved album souvenirs with four photos of you and info about Vanderbilt building, you will feel being part of summit experience. I recommend to buy your tickets two weeks before you plan to visit.

I recommend booking in advance because if you want buy day of it’s all time dependent. We went right before sunset and it was quite busy as people wanted to sit around and watch the sunset. Downside is that I wished they didn’t allow too many people in or ask people to not just sit in front of the windows to allow others to take look or take photos. As it was getting closer to sunset time lots of people would sit and crowd around the windows. But I really enjoyed the interactive rooms and how you can explore the different stages. Lots of fun and I think it’s worth the time to check out at least once when you’re in NYC as you can see so much. I enjoyed the “finished line” where it was an outdoor roof top bar/space.

Beautiful experience, well worth the wait and price. Make sure you get the free sunglasses provided by them if you're visiting in the afternoon. The first room will leave you blind if you don't have them. Make sure you follow all the rules. They are super strict.

100% recommended. Not just the views, but the whole experience is worth the cost of the ticket. However, the price of the photos that they take of you is a bit abusive in my opinion judging by the quality of them. Hope they can improve that and it’d be a 10/10

Kind of twisted on this review. Visiting from Los Angeles and this was recommended. The line to get in was about 30 minutes. The face recognition system was erratic and time consuming, they should have more staff helping to speed up the process. Weekends are too busy. People sit on the sunset side and hog up great opportunities for scenic pictures. But the top floor you can get great drinks and in the late evenings, it gets better. As the night progresses it is well worth the tour. D-LO recommended 😃😸

One of the best experiences I've had in a long time. We went at night time and the views were amazing. I can only imagine going during sunset. At the end of the tour there's a rooftop bar on the 91st floor that is really nice! Drinks are a bit on the pricey side but I expected that. You can take as many pictures as you want. Keep in mind though if you have darker skin your pictures may not come out so great even with the flash because it's so dark in there. Even used night vision. We tried to get creative. Nonetheless it did not put any kind of damper on the experience. I would definitely recommend going.

Fantastic place, it's not just a typical observation deck, it's a fabulous place. We were there after the sun went down which gave us an opportunity to see panorama of NYC with all the skyscrapers around. There are 3 floors to be visited, you can take as much time as you want but it's not possible to go back to already visited floor. The only negative thing was that translucent floors are only accessible for 1 minute, so it's hard to got the best experience there.

It was SPECTACULAR!! The views are simply amazing. It was a girls' outing, and we enjoyed every moment. The drinks were amazing, super strong, but worth the money. They only this please wear something light it gets very hot especially during the day with the sunlight. My only downside one of our group members left early, and it was the ban that was scanned, so we had no pictures because they only scanned one bracelet for our entry photo all pictures now fall under that person's ticket. Other than that, all was well! I felt like a kid... nothing to do but take pictures.

ITS HIGH. These guys shoot you to the top of this building in seconds.once you’re out you get an incredible 360 view of New York. Way better than rockafella or Empire State because it offers you a whole lot more like cocktails, mirrors and balloons. And some cool AR stuff too

A truly epic experience. Incredible views of the city and the design of each room took everything to the next level. The staff did a great job assisting us throughout. We did the Ascent add on and it was absolutely worth it! Best observation deck I've ever done.

This is a must do experience when visiting NYC. We did a helicopter tour the day before, which was super cool. We visited the Edge and the Empire State building on our last trip, but this place topped the cake. For full disclosure, we did the helicopter, the Edge, and the Empire State building during the day. I would definitely do this again on our next visit. Keep in mind that even if you have a reservation, the lines were long. I understand we were there around Christmas time, and the city was busy. It took us about 45 minutes to enter. We spent about 1.5 hours inside, which included a signature drink and a snack for the kids. The drinks we purchased with our ticket. The Edge had the cooler drinks served with dry ice, a souvenir cup, and a lit-up ball inside. We took our teens and a young adult son. They all loved the experience.

My wife and I expected to spend roughly an hour and a half at Summit, taking in the views and enjoying a beautiful day. We ended up staying over 4 hours because of the interactivity available throughout the observatory. We felt like kids in a new playground. We especially enjoyed the balloons in one of the rooms. We recommend spending the extra few dollars to ride the Ascent elevator. The locally brewed beer (locally in NYC) at the bar was drafted to perfection and was smooth and refreshing on an unseasonably warm, autumnal day. Although the prices of snacks and drinks are expectedly and understandably expensive, it was a lot cheaper than what we expected. Quite a bargain for your money’s worth. The views are, of course, absolutely phenomenal. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, never failing to shine a smile to all. They were especially helpful in assisting with an issue we had with our picture and frame. We accidentally skipped the entry photo which meant we couldn’t purchase the framed picture that had “Opening Day” stamped on it, a must have for us. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we got what we wanted. One of the managers, Fredo I believe was his name, has that position for a reason. Incredibly helpful and professional. We look forward to returning for sunset in the extremely near future. Probably for the Christmas Season.

Great mirrored view! Was worth the money imo. If you're planning to go during sunset arrive at least 30-60 minutes early - before your scheduled time. There can be a long line with wait times, especially during the prime sunset hours or during the holiday season. You have plenty of time to spend and there are views from every direction. You'll get great images of Empire State/ Chrysler etc. I recommend wearing pants or tights because the mirrors are on the floor and they really reflect everywhere. They made us wear plastic bag booties to cover our shoes from damaging the mirrors on the floor. Wear comfortable shoes because no one will see them anyway with the booties.

Best view experience in NY. The interactive display rooms bring this venue to life. You have to be patient in the beginning as the lines to get in and up the elevators are quite long. Once the experience started it didn’t seam over crowded and you could enjoy the experience as long as you would like. I’m normally in and out of these types of places and we ended up staying almost 3 hours including getting a drink at the bar on the top floor. They make some great drinks! Advice is spend the money upfront on the digital photos and included drink. You will end up buying them anyway so why not save $ by purchasing ahead of time.

  • 5/5 Jacob W. 5 months ago on Google
This was totally worth the wait which was only like 20 minutes to get through the lines and onto the elevator which was the fastest one I've ever been one by the way. The exhibit is go at your own pace and allows you to explore and enjoy each piece thoroughly, the space is of course populated by hundreds of other people taking pics and influencers trying to be unique but aside from the crowds it was enjoyable and well worth it to see all sides of Manhattan from 90 stories up. Get there 15 minutes early so you can make your appointed time or else you might be delayed by up to 45 minutes.

It was a great place to see the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. The day we visited was quite foggy, so the view was not clear, but it had its beauty. There was lots of entertainment in different sections, which was nice and enjoyable. Not sure if there would be any glare in the picture if it was sunny though.

It’s a great experience! I enjoyed it a lot. Unfortunately the floor is already full of cuts and the windows smeared with fingertips - hard to make clear photos. Everybody must wear covers over their shoes, children strollers don’t. Before entering summit one they take several photos in order to sell them which was a bit annoying….but all in all worth seeing!!!

  • 4/5 Julian Z. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing views, very well organized did not have 1 issue to ingress/egress the property and this was on a Sunday. Since is located in Grand Central Station it offers the best views of most New York landmarks. If offers 3 observatories with their own unique experiece. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the Ascent experience not necessary/not worth the price it should at least have priority access for the added price but is just a 90 second elevator for a higher view of the Empire State Building and the only part of the staff that was not as welcoming. I still recommend it the Summit experience is enough to have the best time.

  • 5/5 Analia G. 4 months ago on Google
We were so happy with our experience. Three 50+ sisters out for the holidays and this was the highlight. Plan for long lines despite the scheduled ticket time and note - they won’t let you in until 5 minutes before. The experience is very well organized with spectacular views, especially of the Empire State. We loved the Mylar ball room for pictures and just juvenile fun. Purchase the drink on the ticket - definitely worth it.

Great observatory in the whole city, better than all the others. The experience here is not just the views but the designs themselves are very interesting. We had a blast in the room with a bunch of balls flying around. Would definitely recommend this over any other in NYC. The views of the Empire state building and Chrysler building are awesome from here especially during the night. During sunset would be the best time to visit this place but they charge you an extra $10 during the hours before, during and after sunset but I would say it is worth it as you'll get to see the city in daylight, twilight and during the night in just one visit. I would definitely recommend this to everyone who visits the city.

  • 4/5 Vy H. 2 years ago on Google
Came here recently Sunday morning—my friend and I got tickets for 11:30am. It was pretty crowded there and not easy to get good pictures without others around. The view of the city is great! The design of the glass mirrors was quite interesting—but since they don’t want you to scratch the floor mirrors, it’s mandatory that you wear shoe covers, so it looks ugly in pictures if you want a full length photo. There is an area that has platforms that extends outward so you can see all the way below your feet (to the ground) which is neat! Overall you’ll get some good picture worthy photos but tickets here are a bit expensive—we paid $50 per person for a morning ticket, including tax & fees (it’s more expensive at night).

The BEST observatory experience I've ever been to!! So you know observatories, right...? You pay a large amount of money to go up a crazy long elevator as your ears pop... Get to the observation deck to look out over the area... take there pics... buy a souvenir... and leave... NOT THIS PLACE!! The SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is a full and unique experience of interactive art and fun. They have you wear black shoe covers to protect the glass and mirrors. The first area is just beautiful with all the mirrors.... like the normal obs deck, but with actual thought for effect. Next you walk into this amazing room of pearly semi floating balls. The floor is mirrors, and you are still surrounded by the view. This room is so much fun!! We literally walked into an art piece. There are tunnels in the floor and ceiling of the 1st and 3rd areas with mirrors that create tricks for your eyes. The next level is the normal area--- the wait in line and get an awesome photo over the city area.... there is a floor less offshoot to stand on for effect. The last level has an outdoor deck with breathtaking views, drinks, snacks, and souvenirs. Our entire family of 10 loved this place.... it has forever ruined any other obs deck I'll ever shop around for lol. I couldn't ask for more.

Sunset time slots sales out fast, so you need to plan ahead. Always check weather before purchasing, the better the weather the nicer the view is !

Title: An Unforgettable Experience with Spectacular Views at Summit in NY Rating: ★★★★★ I recently had the pleasure of visiting Summit in NY, and it was truly an incredible experience. From start to finish, I was captivated by the fun-filled atmosphere and the breathtaking views that this place has to offer. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable outing. The Summit provided a unique and thrilling adventure, with various activities that kept me entertained throughout my visit. The panoramic views of the surrounding area were absolutely stunning, allowing me to appreciate the beauty of New York from a whole new perspective. It was an awe-inspiring sight that left me in complete awe. I highly recommend Summit in NY to both locals and tourists alike. Whether you're seeking adventure, breathtaking views, or simply a fun-filled day out, this place has it all. Don't miss out on the opportunity to create lasting memories and immerse yourself in the wonders that Summit has to offer.

This option to see the city is incredible. Don't miss it. Take your time to review all the parts. You won't feel vertigo. In the end, you have time to enjoy the rooftop and have a cocktail. Don't skip it. The only bad experience was at the beginning dealing with the entrance process. Most of the staff are very rude and treat you like you were an immigrant entering their country. Be patient and try to ignore their attitude. PS: There's an area filled with silver balloons. If you are a parent who raised a monster, don't get close to that section. I saw kids kicking ballons at people's faces, and one of those situations ended up with a kid kicking so hard that his shoe ended up in some lady's face.

One of the highest skyscrapers of new york. The great thing about this building is that you can see all the other cool skyscrapers from here. The summit is littered with mirrors on the observation floor, you see yourself upwards and downwards giving the illusion that you are seeing through the floor! They have some spots where you can sit on a real glass floor (max 30 seconds there is a line) so its like you are Floating.

Fantastic views of a fantastic city!! Great experience! Highly recommended. A little bit of a wait to get in, and the staff could have been a little more helpful and friendly, but I guess they have a difficult job herding us all in and around. But once you're in... wow! Just wow! Really good

Pretty wild. Prebook your tickets as it sells out. If you don't like heights, this still may be for you. I have gotten somewhat fearful of heights as I've aged and was quite comfortable for the entire hour or so we spent 92 floors up. The only exception was standing on the glass floor area- pretty unnerving. This is a good stop for families and the views of NYC are simply outstanding. If I were to visit again I would try it at night. Worth the price of tickets for us.

Great experience. The sensory experience going up the lift was unexpected and a delight. Breathtaking views. Multiple sensory rooms. There is an elevator that travels up the side with a clear bottom for extra thrills. I’ve done the Empire State but this is just a more more zing and very NYC. There are more than enough photos of inside. This one I captured on 9/11 after an electrical storm

It was an incredibly stunning building. The view from the top was absolutely breathtaking. The elevator was astounding with its impressive lighting, making it feel like something out of the Matrix. The balloon mirror room was also very impressive. I was amazed at how well this building must have been constructed. The cost is in the $40's for adults without food options and in the $60's with lunch/dinner included per person. I highly recommend it; it's worth every penny.

Amazing view on the top of Manhattan. But the excess of activities and entertainment weaks a bit the experience and blurs the fascinating memories. Why the need to transform everything in Disneyland? The skyline of New York city can easily stand alone. Thus, much better on the Top of the Rock!!

Best view ever on my fav building in the city!!! Simply amazing and highly recommended! The empire, the Chrysler and the edge are right there in front of you and you can take spectacular pictures. The 360 degrees view is much better than the One World also because of the prime location! SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is an absolute must-visit attraction in the heart of NYC. My first experience here was nothing short of mesmerizing. You can expect to spend anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours exploring the three distinct levels, each offering its own unique experience. Your journey is fluid; you can ascend and descend between the levels throughout your visit. The highlight for me was the all-glass experience. Whether you go at sunset or when the sun is at its peak, the optical illusions created by the glass architecture are captivating. It’s a feast for the senses that could easily keep you entranced for hours. A quick tip: Opt for pants over skirts or shorts, as there are mirrors on the floor that add to the overall experience. If you plan on visiting during the busy season, book your tickets well in advance. Trust me, this is an attraction you don’t want to miss. Rating: 5/5

The view up there are breathtaking! You get to see NYC from all sides. Buy tickets in advanced, is recommended. You can visit 3 floors and take as long as you want. The line soo long, be prepared to wait. But you're waiting inside the building , so that helps against bad weather. I went during the day, next time will try to go at night time.

Do not miss! The view of NYC for all sides is simply incredible! We got the ticket+cocktail option and had the perfect setting. OnO our original date and time the weather was rainy and murky. We booked the last possible entry & unfortunately it was completely foggy. They immediately offered us to change our tickets to another day & time. We went the next morning for the first entry which is 9am. It was perfect. There were some people but not a lot. The view was breathtaking. All the mirrors make you feel like you‘re not on earth. Many floors and rooms with incredible views. It‘s an extremely beautiful experience and worth every dollar. I would go again.

Amazing experience! Starting with the elevator ride to the 91st floor. Be sure to dress appropriately. No high heeled shoes, guests are given shoe covers also to protect the mirrored floors. Ladies, don't wear dresses or short skirts. The mirror floors will show what's under your dress. The views are spectacular! Can't take enough pictures! There's a cafe where you can enjoy the view with some coffee and some pastries. A must do in New York!
