Pestana is in an excellent location if you want to be near the excitement, but not have the crowds, traffic and loud noise. It's a 2 minute walk to CVS and a 10 minute walk to shopping. Maybe a 15 minute walk from Times Square (depending on how fast you walk). The room was very clean, the customer service was nice, and the only thing you can hear is other doors closing. I love that they gave us recyclable water bottles. The rooms are small, but comfortable for 2 people. If you can, get a room with a city view! I definitely recommend and would come back.

Destiny and Alexa were AMAZING. One of the coolest people I’ve met in terms of customer service! So the five stars go to them! They’ll def accommodate you to the best of their abilities! As for the rooms themselves, they are beautiful. Room 2203 has the widest balcony and the best view on my opinion! I did happen to find a grain beetle in one of the rooms though! So just be aware that fortunately the hotel doesn’t carry bedbugs (I hope) but other harmless critters. I wish they provided us with the free breakfast but covid had other plans :( The free water downstairs was nice~

I stayed at Pestana Park Avenue last month when I was on vacation, and I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. As a lot of reviews mention, the rooms are small, but I wasn't bothered by this at all since I spent most of my time there exploring the city. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in New York.

I just checked in today and I’m already writing the review of how great this place is! The room is beautiful. The view is unbelievable. The shower pressure is better than in my house. This place is great I’m recommending it to everyone I know lol.

If you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel in midtown this place is for you! The room was very nice and clean albeit small. For the cost I don't think you can beat this quality or location. It was very easy for me to check in early and also leave my suitcase with them for pick up after checking out. Bonus points for free breakfast pastries and basic coffee/tea as part of the resort fee. I randomly loved the shower too, the water pressure was great which I think is unusual at hotels. If it wasn't obvious from the map, it's also very close to bus stops and subway stops. Loved being this near to Bryant park.

Very small and quaint, but as expected for midtown Manhattan NYC. Very clean and has a very new feel. Stayed here for 6 nights in October 2021. It feels safe outside and is within walking distance of Times Square and many other touristy attractions.

I came to NY to celebrate my anniversary with my husband 3 weeks ago! We had an AMAZING experience at this hotel! The staff was so wonderful! I called ahead to have a little extra surprise set up in our room as a surprise to my husband ! The staff accommodated us and made sure our weekend was going to be nice! I highly recommend this hotel! Our balcony room was a breath taking view of downtown! Room service was prompt, the hotel was clean, it was never loud in the hallway and it smelled amazing in the lobby area every single day! The elevators were even prompt… you did not have to wait long to go in between floors! This hotel is definitely for the grown and sexy! All of the staff work together as one big family and that love is reflected through their customer service! The manager and front desk is amazing! Again to the staff I want to say “Thank you, Thank you , Thank you!” you made our trip lovingly memorable!

I can't say enough good things about my stay here! Absolutely loved this room I was so impressed! The room itself was wonderful, so cute and spacious and that view overlooking the city! Wow! Really enjoyed the shower and the products. Loved that they have Nespresso pods in the room but also lattes in the lobby! The decor is chic and cozy. Also I had a balcony -swoon what a treat! The staff was very sweet and had great suggestions and were super accommodating! Also loved the location as it was very close to public transit and very easy to get everywhere. I went to theater every night and felt very safe walking back from the Broadway district to the hotel alone! The hotel opened during COVID then closed so it's very new. I honestly can't wait to come back! 10/10 highly recommend from me!

Great location. Easy walking distance from Grand Central Station. We had 3 rooms for our group. Their staff was very helpful with letting us get into one early to drop off all our luggage so we could go sight-see. They called when the other 2 were available. Really great staff in general. For breakfasts, we hit the good bagel shops close by and then ate in the nice little outside area the hotel has. Rooms are tiny (this is NY!) but clean and functional with a little fridge. No noise issues. No complaints. Great stay!

Hotel was clean and provided everything we needed for our stay from 11/30-12/3. This was the only decently priced hotel during the holiday season that wasn’t in a shady area and had rooms that were live-able in. The area was also convenient and noise level outside was fairly quiet. I went with a friend and we stayed in the Cabin room. By TX standards, it was very small but we expected this for NYC. There’s no closet so we kept most things on the hooks, in our backpacks, or on the beds. Shower area was fine but the toilet and sink area was basically slightly bigger than an airplane toilet situation, but again we expected this. We had shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion. Water heater was weird; we had either cold or steaming hot with no in-between. But it might’ve just been our room since no one else complained. We appreciated that there was a minibar, TV, and good wifi. Front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. Was able to ask for dental kits and additional items. They also had recommendations of where to go and always greeted us when we came in. Housekeeping cleaned our room nicely every day. Grab and go was available for breakfast but we didn’t use that option. Water refill station was there too, it just needed to be refilled more often but it wasn’t too much of an issue. Overall, a great stay and definitely recommend the hotel for a decently-priced stay in Manhattan.

I was almost going to book a diff hotel but I went with the reviews on here! Had the pleasure of staying here for a night and was a great experience- staff was extremelyyy friendly, place was very clean and the room was a bit small but the beds were sooooo comfy! We almost didn't want to get out of bed for check out! Highly recommend this place, it's close to pretty much everything (Grand Central, Bryant Park etc). Would def stay here again!

The perfect NYC location, especially at Christmas - it’s just around the corner from the Bryant Park Winter Village, Grand Central and 5th Avenue - but it’s still really quiet in the rooms. All rooms in NYC are relatively small (unless you have a significant budget) but these rooms make use of the space with clever storage solutions and look really modern and clean. The staff were also really friendly. PLUS there are free bagels and hot drinks in the morning - not to be taken for granted at an NYC hotel. Would really recommend this hotel!

Was there for 3 nights. Had a lovely stay there. Nice bedroom with excellent en suite & AC. Great tea/coffee all-day facility downstairs. Staff member, who checked me in (forgotten his name), remembered my name each day he was on duty, a sign of good customer service. Within 5-10 minute walk to Grand Central Terminal & handy for connection to JFK Airport & to Queens. Will definitely đź‘Ť stay there again.

You won’t regret your stay at Pestana Park Avenue! Myself and my hubby stayed here for 5 nights recently and it was fab. Room was small but had everything we needed. The shower is incredible - so strong and loads of hot water! Great location for walking, 5 mins from Grand Central station and close to loads of good restaurants. Recommend Los Tacos No 1! Good value considering all the other hotels in the area. Air con was great, TV had loads of channels, bed was super comfy.

We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of December. The hotel is in a great location - about a 10 minute walk from the Rockefeller Centre, 15 minutes from Times Square, and is on a relatively quiet street. The rooms are quite small but what you would expect for NYC - bed was big & comfy, nice bathroom, clean. We were on the 16th floor having paid extra for a superior room with a city view - the view wasn't great and the windows aren't very clean so I wouldn't advise paying extra for this. The wifi is advertised as 'high speed' which isn't the case, it barely connects and when it does is super slow. There are some good amenities - coffee machine, pastries for breakfast, and they will happily store your luggage if necessary. Overall, we had no issues with our stay & would stay here again, but there is nothing extra special about the hotel.

I stayed 6 nights during my NYC trip and couldn't be happier with my hotel choice! The check-in and check-out were quick, and all the staff was very friendly and provided helpful information, as this was my first time in NYC. The room was spotless, very quite and well-equipped, with a super comfy bed and a great view. The hotel is near many subway stations and other local attractions, yet it is on a quiet street. I also very much appreciated the coffee machine downstairs available 24/7 as I am a big coffee drinker. I would be more than happy to stay in Pestana Park Avenue again!

Great location and the facilities were great! Customer service was spectacular, the room was super clean and the aesthetic from the hotel is very chic. The size of the room was a bit small, but we didn't really care. They do have first come, first serve pastries for breakfast and the coffee machine is to die for. Walkable distance from the Grand Central Station, Time Square, The empire State building and The NY public Library. For those who need it, the Mexican Consulate is right next to this hotel. I would a 100% stay here again.

Had a perfect stay! The staff was very friendly and they gave us a complimentary room upgrade. Our room was very clean and quiet. It had a private balcony with great city views including Empire State. Also, the location was perfect- easy walk from Grand Central and close proximity to most of the major sites. Upon checkout the staff offered to hold our bags while we spent the day in the city. I will absolutely be returning next time I'm in the city. Bonus- there's a great cocktail lounge right across the street (Raines Lawroom)!

Just got back after a 5 night stay. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Reception staff and cleaners are all helpful and polite. Views not much but when you're in the middle of tall building, not much can be done. Air con was a blessing, shower was fantastic. Grab and go breakfast... tea, coffee and water were plentiful but we were unlucky with croissants, only bagels left but we don't like them. All in all, we would stay there again. Thankyou to all the staff.

Loved this hotel for the location, the staff and how comfortable it was. Room was refreshed daily and it was ultra clean. Fantastic complimentary coffee, fresh bagels and croissants every morning. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble, even as my husband had goods shipped to the hotel and they accomodated them until our arrival - Victor we salute you! Book your stay you won't be disappointed!

Pestana was so great and will be my go to any time I’m in the city!! The location cannot be beat for the price. The room was super clean and had really great showers. Beds were very comfortable. The service was incredible. The 2 ladies at the front desk were so kind and professional. Due to train cancellations/weather I was stuck in the city an extra day and they were so helpful in getting me another nights stay in the hotel. Thanks again! 10/10!! I would highly recommend For business or vacation. Book it!

Brandon at the front desk is the GOAT. Also Ruiz (or Ruz, I forget the spelling - sorry!) was also awesome! I arrived super early and they made sure I had everything I needed to work while they got me into my room as early as possible. Very accommodating and super nice guys. 11/10 customer service from this team! Oh the rooms were also nice! Good views of the city.

Picked this spot because it was close to the majestic theater, but this hotel ended up being perfect for literally everything! We just walked around. The atmosphere is really chill yet professional. Gregory was an angel in the front desk! he helped us with everything. He also gave us the best recommendations of spots. I didn’t think our stay would be this good. 100% recommend! plus the room was great!

I wasn't sure what to expect, however it out seeded my expectations, It was clean which is number 1 for me!! Staff were friendly and helpful!! They have an area downstairs if you wanted a coffee/tea and this was available 24/7! I stood in the balcony room, and loved it, the views from this hotel are incredible. Room was small but we managed just fine. Also hotel is located in a great area just walk and go. I highly recommend this hotel and I will also be back next year!! Thank you Pestana Hotel!!!

This was an amazing hotel. Staff was easy to work with and the location was perfect. We were only in the city for a few days but having a hotel in this central location made it so easy to get around the whole city. The best aspect of this hotel was the shower. It was like standing in the middle of a warm hurricane. It was the most refreshing shower I have ever taken. Finally, the bed was super comfortable and great for a good night’s sleep. Definitely will be staying again.

Pros: good service, very comfortable bed, great location, discount rate on parking, good coffee from the Nespresso machine in the room. Cons: NOISE. You can hear literally everything that your neighbors are doing. I could hear when they were taking a shower, when they were use a hair dryer, and I got woken up by them in the early morning when they were arguing. For 2 days of my stay the heater was broken. I woke up because it was freezing and got a sore throat. The rooms are tiny, enough room for the bed and that's about it. Minimal amenities and perks. You only get a tiny dining room with coffee and bagels and that's it. For $150 I can understand it but our final bill came out to $430/night for a room with a city view (which I don't recommend because the view was nothing special). At this price range the expectations are totally different and this hotel did not meet them.

Loved it here, will definitely be back! Disclaimer: was perfect for 2 people for one night. Rooms are small. Some reviews have previously said you can hear everything, we thought it was very quiet. Occasionally heard the doors in the hallway open and close but nothing out of the ordinary for a hotel. Beds were comfortable, such a nice shower, complimentary bag check before AND after check out. Great location right by grand central and Bryant park. Highly recommend

Great location. Close to everything but not in the middle of everything. Clean, comfortable room. Great staff. Wonderful coffee. Indoor and outdoor seating for breakfast. Manhattan hotels do use space very efficiently. When I want extra space I stay in New Jersey.

Pros: The rooms are modern, clean, and very quaint. The space was smaller than expected but not a problem. Great location, me and my partner were able to walk to most places. Cons: this was VERY concerning: at 6am me and my partner were awoken by our door being opened. At first we thought it might be housekeeping but it was not (especially at 6am), they didn’t even announce themselves before coming in, and we even had the do not disturb sign hanging. LUCKILY, the only thing that prevented them from fully opening the door was the security latch. We had to call the front desk AND walk down to the front desk for answers. They never gave us an answer or told us who came into our hotel room and had the key. This was beyond startling and concerning for us. They moved us from our room after we asked them to. We did not receive any upgrades or even an apology from management. Lesson learned to always put the latch on and lock all valuables in the safe because you never know who may come into your room. The other big con was that the heating system was broken in BOTH rooms we stayed in and we were pretty cold through the night. Overall not a bad stay but the most concerning hotel experience we’ve ever had thus far.

Fantastic, friendly service by everyone at the front desk and the cleaning staff. We had a lovely week long stay, and this was by far the best hotel I’ve stayed at in recent years. Plenty of croissants and bagels in the morning (and condiments) as part of their continental breakfast, and the coffee machine (a big multi function Starbucks espresso machine) was sublime. Would highly recommend a stay here. Everything was amazing, clean, and the location was very, very central.

Staying at Pestana Park Avenue was an AMAZING experience. My sister and I were celebrating our birthdays and the staff was super nice, welcoming, they kept our luggage while our room was ready. Our room was BEAUTIFUL, super comfortable, clean, and good size for two people. Location is a must! I loved everything about our experience here. It exceeded our expectations and I will recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Manhattan!

I was here for a weekend for a conference and had a fantastic stay as a solo traveler. Friendly and helpful staff. Housekeeping slips note under door when they can’t make it to you (I usually turn down housekeeping because I work remotely) which I appreciated. Amazing water pressure. Nice and clean rooms. Great location. No complains, will stay again next time I need to be in the area.
