I used to live on the Upper West Side so I am biased, as it is my favorite neighborhood in Manhattan. I would recommend anyone visiting the city to stay there, as it is a very quick subway ride or walk to Times Square and the theater district, and a great escape from the very overcrowded touristy areas. I also know hotel rooms can be small in the city, so I was blown away by the one bedroom suite I stayed in. Renovated and modern with bonus features such as the shades opening and closing with a touch of a button. But I must say the best part was just how comfortable the king bed was! I think I had the best night's sleep in a very long time there! It was the perfect place to stay for my conference and for a night alone for this mom! The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful - really made me feel well taken care of!

A fantastic stay. Very very friendly and helpful from the doorman to the reception. Modern large room furnished with great details. Night light in the large bathroom, refrigerator that you can't hear, electric blackout blinds, various lighting options and so on. Beautiful roof terrace and also an elegant lounge, we didn't find anything to complain about, just a great top hotel. We will definitely stay there again next time we visit NY, we can only highly recommend it.

Sometimes fate just puts you right where you're supposed to be. We were actually looking to find a place closer to the Midtown attractions, but traffic and parking options sent us to the Upper West Side and we lucked into The Wallace. Mel on the front desk was amazing, even upgrading us to a suite (it was the Wednesday after New Years, so I suspect things were pretty quiet and occupancy allowed for the incredibly generous upgrade). The hotel is only a couple years old and it shows in the quality and condition of the place. The rooms are very well appointed with lots of cool tech, comfortable furniture, and a long list of thoughtful touches. There's also a great lounge downstairs that had live music and drink & app specials in the evening. I'm not kidding when I say this may have been one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had.

Simply put, we were blown away by our stay at the Wallace. The location was outstanding for our needs and the hotel is gorgeous. But really, it was the staff that stood out. We were in town for a birthday and I had flowers sent to the room before we arrived. I emailed the hotel to let them know, frankly not expecting a response. Not only did they respond to the email, they unpacked my flowers, and when they saw we were celebrating an occasion, they upgraded our room! They were cheerful, capable, and attentive for the entirety of the stay. Going forward, when we're in NYC, we won't be staying anywhere else.

Loved our stay at The Wallace. We were seeing a show at The Beacon Theatre and this was a perfect location. The rooms were very roomy (for a manhattan hotel) and the upgrades are amazing. I wanted to put all of them in my own house (soft close pocket doors, and drawers. Remove controlled everything, great lighting). The staff was excellent. My only complaint was that we waited 18 minutes for a drink at the bar.

This hotel seemed promising from our initial impression on arrival. The lobby is very nice and the staff were very professional, welcoming and helpful. The room was large and clean. However, the hotel’s true colours began to show the longer we spent there. We unfortunately did not sleep well during our stay. The bed was not comfortable (the pillows were the worst part). On top of that, you can hear absolutely everything in your room (music from the hallway, TVs playing in other rooms, toilets flushing from floors above). We stayed in the upper west side area as we wanted some peace and reprieve from the busier areas in NYC. All in all, the hotel is okay but not somewhere I would return.

We had a truly wonderful stay at The Wallace. I've stayed in New York a few times before at other hotels, and none of them come close to the accommodations here. The room was super comfortable, modern, stylish, CLEAN, and full of amenities like controlling lights and window blinds from several wall panels. Just lots of little surprises that made this hotel truly stand out. Location was wonderful, so convenient to many options in the Upper West Side. Would absolutely stay here again and will recommend this hotel to friends and family.

The Hotel is in a wonderful location on the upper West side right off Broadway and 76th street. It's about 2-3 blocks from Central Park with numerous dining options within easy walking distance. The Hotel itself is super-clean, super-modern with really nice-sized rooms. We particularly enjoyed the size of the bathroom, rain shower and the technology in the room (flat screen TV, in-wall tech to open/retract window shades, request privacy and service). But most of all, we enjoyed the wonderful staff at the Hotel. There wasn't a time we walked by a staff member when we weren't asked how was our stay and if there was anything they could do for us. Superb hotel and wonderful staff! If you're looking for a wonderful boutique hotel on the upper West side, The Wallace is a can't miss selection. We already have two more bookings in place this year and will be staying at The Wallace anytime we're visiting NYC.

Our room was spacious, chic and modern while completely comfortable, especially the bed which gave a notably refreshing night's sleep. The blue velvet mid-century modern couch and nesting tables were great for lounging with coffee or lunch, watching the large screen HD TV. A large picture window afforded a nice view over beautiful older buildings and even the water beyond Riverside Park, which is practically only steps away from the hotel. It was located in a safe, pleasant part of the Upper West Side, in easy walking distance of Broadway shops, Lincoln Center, and restaurants.

Rooms are great. Very spacious. Very flexible and good cleaning service with light system. Amenities in room good. Gym is ok. Great service? Well I'm not that confident about that - I mean what service exactly? It didn't feel much like hotel, rather rbnb with reception - if it's your preferred type of accommodation, you won't be disappointed. However we prefer hotel type of accommodation and this place don't have any reasonable food facilities. No breakfast, no room service. I was also surprised that some people felt good regarding front desk staff. Like really? I found most of the staff in the hotel rather hostile than anything else. Overall I wouldn't come back but it depends what you're searching for. My boyfriend loved the big bath tube :-)

We just completed a stay at the Wallace and it was truly the highlight of our trip! Our flight got cancelled and delayed us a day- we were bummed but the front desk ended up upgrading our room to the point our jaws dropped when we walked in! The room was beautiful and you could tell everything was carefully curated and beautifully designed. Every single interaction with staff was positive- can’t recall going anywhere in the last few years where I can say this….housekeeping did an amazing job, the lobby is super cozy and beautiful. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We have stayed at multiple locations in NYC over the years and this has been the best by far- also never had such a nice view of the city! We will be back!

My stay at The Wallace Hotel was simply incredible! The luxurious ambiance, stunning views, and comfortable rooms made for a perfect retreat. The stylish lounge bar and attentive staff exceeded all my expectations. The hotel's central location was convenient for exploring the city. Overall, a truly unforgettable experience of opulence and relaxation.

We loved the Wallace! We travel somewhat regularly to NYC and this is my favorite new hotel. The rooms are sleek and modern with pre-programmed lighting, shades that are controlled with the push of a button, and an electronic "do not disturb" system. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the large bathroom was beautiful. Outside the room, the staff were all pleasant and professional. Anything we needed was taken care of. The new lounge wasn't opened yet, but that will be THE place to go when it is. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, even without a cocktail to sip. Be sure to check out the gorgeous hand-painted mural behind the bar. Finally: don't sleep on the hotel's Instagram account. It is updated regularly with things to do and hidden gems that even seasoned visitors might not know about. We used to plan the majority of the things we did over our stay and were not disappointed.

This was our first time staying at the Wallace, and we were so happy with everything! The lobby is warm and inviting with a working fireplace, and the staff are so friendly. Our room was incredible with thoughtful additions (like being able to push a privacy button instead of using a door tag, and pushing one sleep button to turn off all the lights, just to name a couple). Everything felt designed for our comfort. And the location in the Upper West Side was very convenient. We will definitely be back. If you’re coming to NYC, you should definitely stay here!

We had a six night stay recently, two rooms. We were celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. Stephen, the front desk manager, was very accommodating with our room requests and was able to move us to a queen suite on 12th floor. He invited me to view view the room, on the way the GM introduced himself and I also met the VP of the hotel. That’s never happened before. Our stay at The Wallace was exceptional. Staff was polite and helpful. Rooms were great and updated with lots of tech. I believe the Hotel started their updates in 2019. There was no food service at the property however several cafes nearby to get you going in the morning. We enjoyed the UWS and the close proximity to central park. Definitely recommend The Wallace. We’ll be back.

We go to NYC pretty frequently so we've been to a few hotels. My family enjoyed this hotel so much they would cut short our activities because they wanted to go spend time in the room. In NYC. The staff were all wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The room was super clean and everything is brand new. Location was great, near a lot of things we wanted to do, but also convenient to the subway.

Such a delightful place to stay! After a delayed flight, we received such a warm welcome from the team and the great jazz music playing in the lounge. The rooms are spacious, stylish, and impeccably clean. Great location. Will definitely stay here again!

Absolutely incredible experience, could not have picked a better place to stay! I’ve stayed in a couple of hotels in NYC and this is beyond the best. The rooms have been updated and are very well kept/clean. Joseph was extremely helpful, very accommodating, professional, welcoming, and made our experience unforgettable! The location was easy walking distance to Central Park and close by to two subway entrances. The lobby was cozy and relaxing! My husband’s first visit to NYC and this won’t be our last- definitely make sure to choose The Wallace!

Absolutely wonderful! The staff was amazing, our room was clean & comfy, & the location was great! Highly recommend this hotel. We are a family of 4 with 2 boys & it was perfect for us. We walked to breakfast both days & dinner. This will be our go to anytime we come to NYC.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our toddler for his first visit in NYC and our experience was beyond wonderful. As a native New Yorker & having stayed at many hotels, The Wallace was truly a delight. From the hotel design to decor, the lovely scent in the lobby, the very thoughtful automated light and shade switches and impeccably clean and comfortable rooms - we felt at home. The entire team from the door staff to the concierge went above and beyond with their excellent service, communication and warm spirit. Every day they greeted and treated our toddler as if he was family. As for location, it was wonderfully quiet and also very close to an endless number of great food options. Very walkable to the AMNH - which was our primary reason for stay - as well as Central Park. highly recommend, definitely coming back!

We are very pleased with our stay. The location of the Hotel was convenient to the subway, Central Park, and the American Museum of Natural History. In fact, we walked to Central Park and AMNH. It is also pretty quiet. I couldn't even tell we were staying in a big city. The reception staff was very friendly. It was so nice to sit by the fire place in the lounge to have a drink after a long day of walking around the city. Saturday night, they had a great singer accompanied by a piano player and upright bass. The room was very spacious and the perfect size for my family of 4. The shades and lights were controlled with the touch of a button. The bathroom had great water pressure and hot water. It was my husband's birthday, and they left a special treat and nice note in our room when we checked in. That was a very nice touch that made our trip feel special. I highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the city.

I stayed at the penthouse suite. It’s incredibly spacious with a living room, kitchen (with free snacks and coffee), deep soaking tub, and the coziest beds! I love how the TV greeted me and it had my name on the screen! There’s also high tech controls for the curtains and lights. The lounge has the most delectable bites and live music! Staff are so warm and friendly. Betty checked me in, Morgan seated me at my table, Fiona, Joshua, and Carlos served me dishes with a smile. I even got to meet the chef Lorenzo and the manager Victor! Finally Angel checked me out and was swift doing so! You can really tell the staff here care about you! Thank you for a lovely stay!😊

This was our second visit to the Wallace in the last 45 days. This has become one of our favorite hotels in NYC. The rooms are modern, clean, and they have hardwood floors. Very spacious and relaxing. The staff is was nice and friendly. There are so many restaurants within walking distance, including bakeries for coffee and breakfast. If I had to find one negative thing, it would be no valet parking. However, within 1 block is parking. You won’t be disappointed at the Wallace. I can’t wait to go back.

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in! Reasons why: - Beautifully appointed rooms that were very comfortable, clean and spacious (the last one a luxury for NYC!) - Responsive, helpful and friendly staff who were very personable and made us feel so much at home: from GM Victor Freeman, Steven and his team at the front desk the front desk, housekeeping manager to the technician and housekeeping staff). Whatever request we had, we were attended to promptly. Top marks for service! - convenient location along Broadway, minutes from the Subway 1 stations and with all kinds of restaurants, shops (pharmacy, groceries, laundromat, you name it) within walking distance. All these reasons more than made up for the fact that the hotel didn’t have dining options on site (we didn’t need them because there were so many dining options within close proximity), and it was super easy for us to hop onto the subway to get to other parts of NYC. We will recommend the Wallace to everyone and certainly know where we will stay on our next visit to NYC.

I love this hotel! The staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. The location is amazing and very close from central Park and perfect if you want to go running there. The rooms are pretty big and cosy. The lounge is very pleasant. I recommand it at 100%

I stayed in a suite here in August. I had a mostly good experience but when I asked in advance for a plus size robe in my room, the request was ignored. When I asked at the front desk, after checking in and finding no accessible robe in my suite, the person at reception insisted looked at me like I had a 3rd eyeball. It would be such a easy thing to have a few on hand for requests - and particularly appropriate for a hotel that has featured plus size celebrity guests on their social channels.

Fantastic hotel, definitely the best in the UWS, from all angles of great designer finishes in the space, really exceptional and helpful staff, beyond accommodating management who helped me extend my stay- including a booked out Saturday night in prime Dec holiday time. The rooms are quality and set out well. Would definitely recommend the Wallace Hotel!

We stayed here during our trip to NYC. The Wallace is perfectly located - near AMNH/Central Park, subway in good walking distance and a lot of places to have breakfast/dinner… staff was nice and made us feel welcomed. The room was big and very clean - we really liked it.

The Wallace is a brilliant location to explore New York. Additionally, the hotel is very tastefully furnished and features spacious rooms and a stylish yet cozy lounge / bar. Also a big thank you to the team, which made our stay very pleasant.

I'm familiar with the UWS hotels for 40 years. I'm very particular about hotels. The refurbished Wallace hotel was such a surprise and a delight when I stayed there last week. The rooms were impeccably clean, the lights were placed exactly where you needed them, there was comfortable space for luggage without being crowded. The beds were comfortable, the sheets were crisp. Everything was up to date and well thought out. I don't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel and had no complaints, and my stay at the Wallace was quite the opposite - I loved it! The location is ideal for me, and the staff is lovely. They did an incredible refurbishing job, with so many thoughtful touches. I noticed every one of them. I can't rave about this hotel enough. I highly recommend it!

What a find in the upper west side! Away from the hustle and bustle in a more low-key, neighborhood type setting (which is so nice) but still very accessible to subways and surrounded by good food and shops within a couple of blocks. Close to central park as well. Rooms are twice as big as what you'll find in other places and the cleanliness, staff, everything was a 5/5. Loved the cozy lobby and can't wait for the cocktail lounge to be open for the next time we're there! Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

A friend of mine recommended the Wallace for our family vacation. And I'm so glad he did. The hotel is only a year old. So, the rooms are well-appointed, clean, in great condition and spacious (compared to the other hotels I've stayed at in NYC). The staff was wonderful. I enjoyed the location (the West side) and the peaceful environment.

My cousin and I stayed at the Wallace this past weekend, and everything was wonderful! The suite was beautiful! A shout out of thanks to Betty at the front desk for helping us with the extras that we needed, and to Freddy for coming to our housekeeping assistance so quickly. We felt very secure during our stay and loved the fact that there were great restaurants close by.

I went to New York for the first time with my mother in July of 2023, my mother has several allergies and really strong asthma. We were looking for very clean hotels with no smells, (wood, paint, mold, etc.). We visited 15 hotels to see if their rooms smelled, since my mother would have asthma if they had any type of scent. We finally found The Wallace, no scents and extremely clean rooms. The staff is really helpful and welcoming and the neighborhood is very nice and peaceful, less touristy, which for us was better. If you or the person who you travel with is severely allergic I would 100% recommend this hotel.
