Hands down my favorite diner around. Every single item is spot on and delicious. I really enjoy their breakfast items and their burgers. Prices are fair and very good service. All around this place is great. Better than most diners in the area and you can go any time of the day.

Freezing cold! We didn’t take our winter coats off to eat breakfast. The host wasn’t attentive or particularly welcoming. Took a long time for our coffees to arrive and even longer for our order to be taken. Home fries were more like mashed hash browns. Eggs and omelet were standard. Nothing outstanding. I would not return or recommend.

To start in a new neighborhood, there is nothing better than a good neighbor who is always attentive, state line pleasant environment, super comfortable, first-class attention with his manager when receiving us. My congratulations and we will always be pending to continue visiting them. 👍🏻

Haven't been in sometime. Orangeburg was to crowded to accommodate us. This was exactly what was needed for my party of 10. Service was excellent, the food was cooked we'll, well seasoned and served quickly. I immediately took notice to the fact the staff was cognizant of the 1 year old in our group and made sure nothing hot was put in his reach. The menu is labeled with GF and V options and there is GF substitutions of pasta and sandwich buns. Kid size portions are a regular meal. Come hungry and be ready for leftovers.

Our waiter Avelino has taken good care of us. Very attentive. My Romanian Steak was awesome. We'll be back. Oh and the lemon coconut cake was good too...

1st time here. Food was pretty good. Place is oddly somewhat updated but then parts aren't. Felt a bit humid which made tables feel a little sticky. I'm not sure exactly how I felt overall.

Was handed the regular and lunch menus when I arrived. Ordered the Carne Asada from the lunch menu (pointed at the item on the lunch menu to make it clear and was not even aware they had this dish on the regular one) and was charged for the regular / dinner menu price, which costs more than double what I thought I ordered. Waiter took no accountability for his mistake. Very disappointed overall

Aug 2023, came here for Breakfast which was ok. They are renovating the inside of the restaurant, and in my opinion it needs to be renovated. First of all most of the wooden tables have a permanent stickiness to them. When you tried to move the paper placemats they did not move. Honestly, it was too funny we were thinking if we sat at the table long enough we would stick to the table. The service was fine,and food came out quickly. I wanted to order one Pouched Egg and I was told I couldn’t order one Egg, I had to order Two Eggs. I thought that was strange, I never heard that I couldn’t order one Egg. The Pouch Eggs were ok, and came with Home Fries and an English Muffin. Plus the service was fast. Honestly, i am not sure if I would go back for Breakfast especially since I could not order just one egg.

Huge selection of traditional and upscale diner dishes. Fast, friendly, and efficient service. Burgers, sandwiches, panini... moderately priced and generously portioned. Main entree dishes pricier but within normal range these days.

Very noisy with lots of staff running around. Had crab stuffed shrimp, but it was not real crab, and overcooked. It was served with mashed potatoes which seemed odd. The mixed vegetables were crispy and delicious.

Food was good, fries were very good. Tuna melt seemed like it wasn’t homemade and was over seasoned. Pickle and coke slaw came with. Pickle was good, slaw very runny. Chicken Caesar salad was good. Croutons were slightly stale. Service was good. Clean and basic atmosphere. Bathrooms are very cute.

Inspired by a classic NY/NJ diner, you can get anything here. Staff is always friendly.

I've Passed it for Many Years without going in. So when some Friends of mine had asked me to meet them there I said Sure. The Atmosphere, and Service was Good. But, I had Ordered the sampler platter which had included Fried Clams, Mozzarella Sticks, Calamari, and Wings. I thought All of the fried food was Overcooked, Especially the Clams. For $17.00 I Expected it to be Much better then it was. I didn't want to create a Scene since I was Greatful to see my Friends since it had been So Many Years since we had seen each other. Again, Expected A Lot More from Stateline since it is a Restaurant, Not some Gas Station with Deep Fryers.

The ingredients are fresh, and creatively put together. Really capture great flavor in their sauces, sometimes a bit much. But still delicious. One of favorite lunch spots that always satisfy that “special craving”

I'm usually not a fan of diners because the menu is so big and most of the food is mediocre at best, BUT State Line is the exception. Their food is comforting and delicious, and as someone who never orders the same thing, State Line never disappoints.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! This place is the epitome of a family-style restaurant!! This was my first visit to State Line Restaurant in Tappan, NY and honestly, I just stopped by on a whim. From the moment I walked in, the staff truly made me feel at home! From recommendations to small talk, Anna and Mackayla were not only warm & inviting, they were very much on top of everything. The dish that was recommended (the Mexican burger with chips/salsa with a side of waffle fries) was incredible and the service was top notch! Like I said, I stopped by on a whim but after this experience, I KNOW that I will definitely be back! GREAT JOB State Line Restaurant… 5 stars all around!!!

We've been eating here for MANY years. The food is alway good; the service is always very pleasant. I didn't give 5 stars this time because the booth table was very sticky. I realize they may be trying to disinfect them but they really need to scrub them down so they're not sticky or put disposables table cloths on them. Otherwise everything was wonderful!

So glad I gave this place another chance. I was here last year and the food wasn't great. But today it sure was! Great outdoor space, umbrellas, comfortable chairs, friendly service, and huge menu selection. As pictured, we had shrimp guacamole wrap which was fantastic! And veggie burger with fried onions and swiss.. super good and hot. Definitely going back for dinner.
