Oxtails rice and peas with cabbage and plantains was a good . This was my 1st time eating here and they definitely did not disappoint.Nice size portions, so flavorful,oxtails were so tender and juicy ,everything was seasoned to perfection, plantains we're actually sweet just the way I like them and the lady who answered the phone was very polite .I will be ordering again

Small Caribbean cafe restaurant with delicious and flavorful food. Dining area has several tables as well as picture window dining with music playing in the background. Portions are generous and meals are reasonably priced. Many cold beverage and dessert choices too. Friendly efficient counter service and entrance is mobility accessible.

I made the decision to try this restaurant out because I had a craving for oxtail w/ rice & peas & I wanted that authentic oxtail not the stuff the other restaurants in the area are serving up. Not only was I pleasantly satisfied with the food but I was also very pleased with the customer service I received while ordering over the phone & in person. I’ll definitely be returning on days when I don’t wanna cook & I’ll also be recommending them! Good food & good service will do it!

The best Caribbean food in the area hands down. When you’re only open for 6 1/2 hrs and sell out of oxtails almost every night you’re doing something right!! Saying that, I would recommend that you get your order in early so you won’t be disappointed if they tell you they sold out of what you want. And you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu

Love the food but I’m so disappointed you can’t order the beef or chicken Pattie’s on Uber eats 😩. They’re literally my kids favorite. If they add this, I’d be buying 4 a day for my kids.

This place is a correctly priced version of a lot of caribbean places that struggle to provide the quality that the cuisine is known for. The food is excellent and tastes like a family member made it earlier that day. The prices are reflecrove of the quality and you should be ready to pay for some of the best carribean good for miles.

Food in general is yummy but really expensive, 14 dollars for a oxtail meal and the portions are okay but could be better for that price. The patties are the best hands down, from the spinach to the beef, they always run out. Probably one of the best Essex county has to offer in terms of Jamaican food.

This restaurant has awesome service as well as yummy menu. One of the best spot in the city. The meals came out quick and the rates are reasonable. I recommend this place.

I usually come in and get decent service...today, I was told by a co worker there wasn't a limit for the debit card. When I told the worker I had a card she stated there was a five dollar limit, i told her I didn't know and she took my card and rolled her eyes and didn't realize I noticed. I told her her attitude wasn't necessary and the stereotype that west indians can give attitude aren't needed as I am west indian. She then called me crazy because I told her about her attitude. Do better as an establishment.

My favorite Jamaican restaurant by far. Very clean. Good tastes great. A little more expensive but they do give large portions. I love it!

Best place for a chicken roti in North NJ,

I love this place! They offer excellent food, their menu is nice, The chef in that restaurant is well trained, I enjoy a lot eating all their dishes. The dishes are consistently fresh, the attitude towards the guests is nice. I visit often this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it to all my friends.

While inexpensive, prices may be a little more or portions a little smaller, for certain items, than the prices at some other Jamican establishments in the area between Montclair and Newark. (Relatively cheap for Montclair, definitely.) The patties are nice and flaky. Jerk chicken is awesome.
