Emack
is
whack!
When
I
say
‘whack’,
I
mean
the
aesthetics
of
the
place
was
out
there.
I
felt
like
I
was
in
some
kind
of
hippy
store
with
all
the
early
60’s
to
late
70’s
stuff
going
on.
Not
only
that,
but
it
had
a
very
Ben
&
Jerry’s
ice
cream
vibe
about
the
place.
On
this
particular
day,
we
had
just
partook
in
the
2013
Taste
of
Peoria
and
needed
something
to
wash
down
all
the
yummy
food
we
had
throughout
the
evening.
Matt
and
Laura
suggested
we
hit
up
Emack
and
Bolio’s
for
some
ice
cream.
I
said,
“E-heck
and
what?”
It
turned
out,
there
was
a
riverfront
ice
cream
place
in
the
area.
As
this
was
the
beginning
of
my
travels,
I
was
still
new
to
a
lot
of
the
things
around
me.
Without
hesitation,
we
walked
the
short
distance
to
Emack
and
Bolio’s
for
what
I
was
hoping
was
a
good
time.
We
got
there
and
must’ve
just
missed
a
crowd
from
the
Taste
of
Peoria
as
there
was
signs
of
busyness
and
a
lot
of
people
milling
about.
We
headed
in
and
the
sights
inside
were
something
else.
Have
you
ever
been
to
a
diner
and
saw
Elvis
memorabilia
everywhere?
This
place
was
like
that
but
with
bands
like
Beatles
and
Led
Zeppelin.
As
a
music
lover,
I
had
a
hard
time
splitting
my
attention
on
what
I
wanted
to
order
and
seeing
all
the
cool
decorations
throughout
the
place.
Eventually
I
was
able
to
rope
in
my
short
attention
span
and
ordered
some
ice
cream.
I
don’t
remember
what
I
ordered
but
I
was
a
bit
surprised
by
the
slightly
high
prices.
But
with
those
higher
prices
came
quality.
This
was
some
pretty
good
stuff.
Granted,
I
don’t
remember
what
I
ordered
but
I
do
remember
thinking
it
was
just
the
thing
we
all
needed
after
spending
time
trying
out
various
food
vendors.
Now,
I
didn’t
know
there
was
not
one
but
TWO
Emack
and
Bolio’s
in
Peoria.
Mind
blown!
I
have
been
to
the
one
in
Peoria
Heights
a
few
times
but
at
the
time
of
my
visits,
I
didn’t
consider
the
other
locations
for
a
place
needed
for
my
travels.
It
felt
like
double-dipping.
As
time
passed,
I
warmed
up
to
the
idea
of
trying
all
locations
as
each
place
can
offer
a
unique
experience.
So,
when
I
get
to
go
back
to
the
second
location,
I
will
do
a
post
for
it.
I
guess
what
I
am
trying
to
say
is
that
Emack
and
Bolio’s
is
one
groovy
place.
Pretty
good
ice
cream
that
is
a
bit
pricier
than
normal
but
worth
the
extra
cost.
