Best chicken salad I've ever had. Walked in and was immediately greeted by smiling faces. First clue that they love what they're doing. The girl at the counter walked me through the menu and offered samples of anything I wanted to try....unheard of in this day and age. Ordered any meal and it was beyond words. They have chicken salad figured out. The pasta salad and pickle we're a great side and the cookie I didn't know about was the end of a great meal. Can't wait to come back and try something new! Thank you again guys!

I ordered carry out for lunch. I ordered a sandwich (Fancy Nancy) with a side of broccoli salad and decided to make it a trio with the loaded potato soup so I could try more and I was STARVING. Which means no matter what I ate, it would be delicious, right? Not the case at all. First the sandwich...The chicken salad was absolutely flavorless and paper thin on an oversized croissant. I expected the chicken to at least be seasoned, roasted or something flavorful. It was not in the least bit. It also had WHOLE grapes on it. Every fabulous chicken salad I've ever had that contained grapes, the grapes were sliced in half so you can get equal parts and a well balance of savory chicken and sweet grapes. This was as if they were trying to give you less chicken salad and more grapes. The grapes also were slightly soft (not fresh and crisp). And I'm not sure what type of mayonnaise they use but I assure you they did not "Bring Out The Best" with Hellman's! I was totally expecting and hoping the chicken to be rotisserie and was sadly disappointed. On to the Broccoli salad. This was not bad. However the homemade broccoli salads I've made and have had - all had way more. Same dressing, but this was lacking ingredients for sure. This was broccoli, shredded cheese and bacon crumbles with a sweet dressing. I expected it to compete with my own version, which additionally has red onion (ok I get not EVERYONE likes onion - skip to the next ingredients then!) cauliflower, sunflower seeds, salt and pepper. And I would expect fresh ingredients. This one had very limp broccoli, as if it had been sitting for several days. The last thing I ordered was the loaded potato soup. This was actually the best of what I had (not be confused with the best ever!!), although it did NOT taste homemade at all. That might be why it was actually good. I think maybe GFS topped with cheese? Lastly, they gave me a free cookie. It was adorably wrapped in their branded name on a cellophane wrapper. Has to be good, right? I was actually thinking before I even took a bite "maybe they should lean more toward BAKING rather than cooking??" And then I took a bite. I say bite (singular) because that's all I could stomach after the flavorless sandwich, mediocre broccoli salad and ok soup I just ate. The cookie was soft, so I had hope. But it quickly crumbled into a mound of dust. It was dreadful. I tossed it in the garbage. So there you have it...my expectations and reality of what I got from Chicken Salad Chick. My prediction - they won't be around long. Not when chicken salad is a staple in most American kitchens and we who make it - KNOW how to make it right with flavor!!! All this being said - I really was sadly disappointed in the main fact that I was SO hungry when I made this order and had high expectations for something so simple and it turned out tasteless. I hate when that happens. And no - I don't have Covid. (loss of taste)

Cute, dainty restaurant with friendly staff. Clean, fresh place. Clean restrooms. The food was good. I had the fruity fran chicken salad on toasted bread with a seasonal salad (spinach, bleu cheese, poppy seed dressing). I could've used a couple more grapes in the chicken salad and a little more toastiness on the bread, but the food was fresh and tasty. My salad was so so so good!!! The meal came with a pickle and cookie as well. It was perfect for a light meal. I was full without that unpleasant stuffed feeling. I'll be visiting again!

This is the place to call home about! I have yet to find something that I do not prefer. I highly recommend their grape salad! It is the best side that you can get with your chicken salad. Their strawberry lemonade is very addictive. It is a great place to get full on healthier food. In the winter time for me, their potato soup is really good and cheesy. Today we ate inside. It was the perfect temperature being crazy Illinois weather but it has always been that way when we go. I do not know how they donit but it has been very clean every time we have gone and I have been there previously to COVID. The ladies at the counter were both very helpful and let my young child try different flavors of chicken salad. They never once said that he could not try a different one, and he tried more then a few. Do places now a days let you try the food before you buy it other then ice cream? My husband the pickiest eater in the world loves their cookies! I can not say enough about this place.

The staff is always pleasant, warm and welcoming. There's so much great stuff to choose from I have a hard time making my mind up. So I always grab something different from the to-go area. Which is a great area because then I can grab stuff for my lunch. But I have to make sure I get some for my husband because he always eats mine. Lol. Thank you for the great experience

I have to say, I have not had a bad experience here! It's all been great! All of the chicken salad has been incredible! I also had the fruit salad, it was pretty good too! If you're looking for something different, this is the place. They even had awesome strawberry lemonade!

I came for egg salad. After a taste test I had to go with chicken salad. So full of flavor and the bread was amazing.

I used to like this place when they first opened but now the service is not so great

The chicken salad was good, but the bread was stale. Not appetizing at all, the crust got thrown out. I'll give it another shot, but with crackers next time. Bummer!

My Fiance and I kept hearing people rave about this place on social media so us being connoisseur's that we are, to had to try it. Chicken salad Chick was absolutely delicious!! We were so impressed that when I awoke the next morning I knew I wanted to try it again and so we did. Same result just fantastic variety of chicken salad and some soup or other sides. The grape salad was amazing as well. Everything we had was very fresh made and delivered by smiling employees. Well done we will be frequenting your establishment for years to come!! Thank you for the wonderful explosion of flavor's for our palate's.

First time I dined at a Chicken Salad Chick was in McDonough, GA. I saw them all over the south so it was a pleasant surprise to see one in East Peoria when we moved here. We have been to this location several times and have never had a bad experience. My husband loves pimento cheese sandwiches and he turned me onto them a while back. So that is definitely our go to! He gets his with bacon but I do not. I hate to say I haven't tried any of the chicken salads yet because I am hooked on the pimento cheese but next time I go in, I will give something else a try! I don't eat bacon so there a few things I have not been able to try that sounded good otherwise. We both love their little sugar cookies! Such a great topper to an excellent meal every time!

Pretty good if you like chicken salad. Many sandwiches to choose from, BUT see the photos of the non social distancing. There is a few seats outside. And at this point I don't want to sit that close.

Unfortunately had a bad service. I order a chicken sandwich meal that was supposed to have a side salad. I was very hungry and left my home (and work) to buy food, and decided to try this "great" place. However, I bought the food and when I got back home, I got the food out and the salad was not there. They did not give me the salad. They still owe me a salad!!! And they have an unsatisfied customer!!!!

This was my first visit. The staff was helpful and friendly. The food was fresh and delicious! The restaurant was so clean, and there are even picnic tables outside. Highly recommend! Can't wait to go back and try a different chicken salad!

I love this place! Usually everyone is very nice! But we came in tonight and the lady in the back helping make the food would roll her eyes everytime a customer walked in. She would bring food out and not even smile at the customers.. just looking mad. Please change your attitude as this is normally a very nice place! Remember.. these customers that are walking in the door is bringing business and that is allowing you to keep your job and have a paycheck!

The Customer service was superb the you lady that helped my wife was so nice. The dill chicken salad though could have been a bit more seasoned and flavored but over all a good experience

Yummy! Everything we ordered was delicious. Ty and Taylor were polite, helpful and knowledgeable. Only downside is that its a bit pricey, but worth it for the quality. Give Chicken Salad Chick a try!

After a long day, I came in to see what the hype was about Chicken Salad Chick and let me tell you it’s worth the HYPE. The shift lead and employee gave me their recommendations and gave me some free samples! I went home with the Dixie Chicks sandwich, scoop of Dixie Chicks, container of Sassy Scott and a container of the Spicy Pimento. I was so happy eating it all! Great employees and delicious food made for a wonderful visit!

After changing my order twice, I apologized. The woman taking my order made me feel like nothing would make her happier than serving me just what I wanted. She later stopped by my table to ensure that I was enjoying my selection. Thank you!

I had the Kickin' Kay Lynne as a BLT with loaded potato soup. The sandwich was so fresh, packed with flavor, and lite. The soup was savory and filling. Absolutely recommend

I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing, even if it is mostly chicken salad. You'll definitely be able to find your next addiction here if you like chicken salad. So many different flavors to choose from. And those names are perfect for them. My favs are Cranberry Kelli, and Sassay Scotty 😍. I always get the broccoli salad as my side because it's absolutely amazing 🔥On a cheat day I'll choose the grape salad because that too is amazing and sweet! You can choose to have it as a sandwich or just the scoop. They'll add crackers also, unless you ask to hold them. People were great, really helpful. Atmosphere was welcoming, a friend of mine, me and my cousin stayed here for a few hours visiting. I believe it was the manager that came out and visited with us and told us a little about the company and welcomed us to stay as long as we like. Probably because my friend had her and her crew laughing cause he was just extra hilarious that day 🤣 Good place, great people, great food....yeah I'll be back again and again. Oh yeah! They also have rewards 😘 get on that! And something free for your birthday when you sign up! Scan your receipt for rewards!

I'm not sure what to say about the place! It's wonderful. The people are great. The food is delicious and it is fairly priced. EAT THERE! You won't regret it.

All i can say is man their prices are steap..and the grape salad sure isnt like the grape salad i make..i will stick with my own chicken salad that people just loce

Just tried this for the first time and loved it. Staff was friendly, helpful and didn’t rush me to make a decision. Went pretty basic with a regular chicken salad sand and one with apples, grapes and pecans. Everything tasted fresh with a nice balance of ingredients. Haven’t tried the cookie, but looks good. Definitely on the repeat list!

I'm not big on chicken salad i dont like manaise but i loved the grape salad

I'm very picky about chicken salad and I'm soooo pleased with this restaurant!! This was my first time here. I had the chicken salad BLT with Olivia's old south style chicken salad, broccoli salad as my side which was tremendous, which comes with a pickle spear,and a cookie all for $9.75 including tax. SO WORTH IT! Excited to try other things, as I will most definitely be back! my 2nd time here- today I had the Dixie chick on a croissant with the pasta salad and all was wonderful...pasta salad very flavorful and the 'Dixie ' was as promised, with LOTS of onions, just like I like it!!

I just got to try this place for the first time today, wow! Is all I can say, it was so very good, I will definitely be back again, if you havent tried it, go! It's worth every penny

I do not like Chicken Salad. Correction: I did not like Chicken Salad...until I met the Chicken Salad Chick. I protected myself by getting a BLT because even if I didn’t like the chicken salad, I love bacon. Much to my pleasant surprise, the hickory Barbie-Q was highly complementary. I tried my wife’s buffalo and was very impressed. Their soups had a good flavor. All in all, I was not disappointed. So many different flavors will make this one of the few places where I try as much of the menu as possible. Next time, I’m coming for you, Kickin’ Kay Lynne...and the grape salad, too! PS They treated me to a sliced pickle and frosted butter cookie and I approve

Oh my.....it's a must try! I have never been and was so pleasantly surprised! Made fresh daily and you can tell. The manager Howard made sure he checked on us and everyone else there. I can't wait to go back!!!!

Don't go here if you are expecting much besides chicken salad. There is a lot of variation on the humble chicken salad. At least 8 different types. Sample tastings offered if you can't decide. 2 soups daily. Chicken salad scoop or sandwich with a side costs a little over $9 including tax. I had a lemon basil salad, my friend had a fruity one. Both delicious and not drowning in sauce. First time there, will be back! They do also have pimento cheese sandwiches and a turkey breast sandwich, didn't try those..... yet

Just tried out the Chicken Salad Chick in Edwardsville. I was pleasantly surprised! I had no idea there were so many different ways to serve chicken salad! There's a variety for every taste. Clean, quaint atmosphere adds to the dining experience. A bit of Southern charm in Edwardsville! Who knew! Give it a try - you'll enjoy it!

This is a nice change of pace for restaurants in the area. Still working our way through the menu, but everything has been excellent so far. And the cookies in the meal actually meet my high standards!
