This is one of the coolest places I’ve stayed in all my years of being on the road! George, Rachel and their girls are beautiful people! They made me feel more than welcome. The room was super fun! I stayed in The Jackalope room. Equipped with a book called ‘Song of The Jackalope’ (which I read) The bed was more than comfortable. Very clean bathroom. Hot shower and, and, and…….. I highly recommend The Sacajawea Inn!!

Coming from Los Angeles and now being a ‘city girl’ the Sacagawea Inn was very cute and comfortable. you can tell they have remodeled and the beds were quite comfortable. the location is very convenient, with the savage grill in walking distance. They even had a fire pit in the front! would definitely recommend

No management on site during our weekend stay to address the issue of no hot water in our unit. Zero follow up from phone calls to the front desk or talking with the staff. Not even an apology for failing to meet basic accommodations. Do Not even consider staying at this dump.

My friend and I were going on a road trip through Salmon, up through Northern Montana and Idaho. I booked this online, as a place to stay, returning from there. I noticed the hand painted murals in the pictures on the website. My friend loves wolves. I called Rachel a few days later after booking online, and asked if we could be put in the Wolf room, and told her about my friend. She happily made sure we got that room. We got in at 8:30 pm and received excellent customer service. The rooms were so clean, recently renovated and decorated so nicely. There is a huge big screen TV with great sound. The beds were so comfortable We also had two dogs with us on our trip, and It was so nice to be able to step outside, and walk our dogs around back as well as go walk and sit in a nice area with a fire pit and benches. They are still doing renovations, and we hope to see it finished next year, as we will go to Yellowstone through the northern entrance and absolutely plan to stay at Sacajawea Inn again. Rachel was so wonderful to us, and especially to my friend, who needed and deserved a really nice road trip, after taking care of her mom, who had dementia. Rachel knowing about my friend and her love of wolves did something extra special for her. Her caring and kindness was so very touching and deeply appreciated. I highly recommend Sacajawea Inn.

Sacajawea Inn is a gem! At 1st glance. i wasn’t sure what I was going to get, but oh my gosh, this place is great. I came to Salmon for a wedding with my family. They had a suite/house (3 bed, 2 bath, full kitchen, living room) everything we could need. They have a fire pit in the common area, stocked with wood for a great place to hang out. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating with any of your needs. You can’t go wrong staying here, I know I will definitely be staying here again.

Don’t drive by this place, it’s worth the stop and check out the rooms. Once you enter the door, the rooms are outstanding for the price. New memory foam mattresses and nicely decorated, with slightly different themes. Very clean and modern. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They’re continuing to work on the property. We would definitely stay here again.

The stay was very welcoming! Anything we needed the staff was Johnny on the spot from towels to questions! Thank you for the welcoming stay! The rooms were very clean and well put together with a HUGE tv to kick back and enjoy some down time. Very nice outside fire area as well

I stayed here for business a few weeks ago. I have emailed, and called many times requesting a receipt, but have received no reply. The hotel was fine, but I would strongly advise against staying here for business for this reason. Likewise, if one was to accidentally leave something behind, or any need any follow up communication - its impossible to reach these management.

Awesome stay during my visits to Salmon. Rachel and George treat the guests like family, come as a stranger, leave as a friend!

The new manager is super nice. Also they have recently re-done the rooms so they are way nicer. A good ol' workin' mand motel.

We were on a two week road trip and would prefer to support a local business as opposed to staying at a chain hotel or inn. Upon arrival, the inn appears to be going through a renovation.....which after seeing the older rooms, is a good thing. The current price of $130 a night vs the quality of the room is a bit excessive. We had been riding all day and were tired but should have asked to see the room before we committed. The front desk said they were closing the office for the evening and we didn't want to hold them up. (Note to the management, while checking in, there was a person unprofessionally "lying on the couch" playing a video game. Very, very unprofessional.) When we got to our room, the screen on the door was ripped in half and I also noticed the shutters on the room next door was hanging off the rail, not a good first impression. After opening the door, the chair at the corner table looked like it was picked up off the road (seriously) and only two outlets in the room actually worked. Since I had work to do, I specifically inquired about the internet and cable when we checked in, we were assured it was available. After settling in, we discovered it wasn't working. They do provide a TV but without the ability to chrome cast or logging into your own streaming services, there was nothing to watch and without internet, I was unable to get any work done. We didn't even use the shower and left very early the next morning feeling a bit taken advantage of. We were offered no partial credit for the inconvenience. We could have traveled further into town and spent the same amount of money for a higher quality room. I would love to support your business in the future once your remodel is complete but in the meantime, it seems only fair to lower your rates.

We pulled in at 9 pm and we’re looked after with amazing kindness… our room was nice and had everything we needed to have a comfortable sleep. We got great advice on restaurants to go to and felt very looked after. Tks for caring

Newly, err, still in progress renovation. Someday, this place will be worth the prices they charge; right now, it's a bit much. I understand, though. It's the summer, and everyone is gouging all their customers. We are used to it. I would like to recommend that there be a bit more interaction with your guest at the time of check-in. Pointing to my room and saying the key is in the door was a little weird. Something I guess I'll have to get used to. All in all, this was a decent night's stay in a decent and soon-to-be great little roadside Motel. I still haven't received my receipt, though. No biggie

Really just a lovely place to stay. The owner is great and has made the rooms inviting and wonderful. Good value and a homey feel. The bed was super comfy. Staying here makes you appreciate the non-chain motels and all the charm and personal touches that small business owners have to offer. Will definitely be returning.

The what seemed like manager was very rude and abrupt. Awful customer service. We booked through their website and due to this they would not honor any military or AAA discount. The hotel was in renovations and it was like driving into a construction site. The beds are horrible. If you like sleeping on springs stabbing you in the back and holes in your bed, then this is the stop for you. There was entertainment with watching the spiders crawl through their webs in the corners and light fixtures in the room, so there's that. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I have no idea how they have above 2 stars. Poor customer service, uncomfortable beds, and they charge over 200$ a night. Complete scam. Avoid this place

This is about the camp sites, behind the hotel...we are a 43 footer, so we needed a larger 50 Amp spot, were told they were building tiny houses on the back, bigger spots, so we were crammed up so tight to the other campers that I could reach out and touch my neighbors slide, from my front steps! They never cut the grass and when they did tell us they were NOT building tiny houses and they were gonna make 1 of those big spots a 50 Amp, we waited 3 months and then finally left! I hope the owners of this place know how much money they are losing, everyday to their management!

The posted online pics of other people’s rooms looked nice, but mine was so-so. I stayed in room 12, the bear room. It was pretty bear bones 😃 - no desk to work on, no true night stands by the beds, but the sheets were clean, and the towels were fluffy and new. The shower head was weird. It was like the nozzle of a garden hose on jetstream. Ever since Covid hit, I make a point to clean out the vents of the A/C and heater in my hotel room. It was the dirtiest vents I’ve seen in my years of continuous traveling. At least the front desk was nice

We stayed here for a night on a road trip, and it was great as far as motels go. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, everything was clean (and they are in the process of updating beds, appliances, TVs, etc. Our room was complete!). Logan the dog roams the grounds, and is so sweet and friendly. This is not a fancy hotel, so don’t expect that. For the price point and for the location though, I would certainly recommend.

I can’t say enough good things about the folks that worked there, if we needed anything they were beyond helpful. I will be back in the future and I won’t stay anywhere else. Thank you so much for making my time in Salmon feel like home! The next time I come it will be for vacation not work.

This Inn and the people that run the Inn, are one of a kind! There are not many people left in the world today that will completely go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of before and during your stay with them. I ended up staying here 2 different times and each time was a 2 week stay. My friends back home always wanted to know which mural room in which I was staying. They are fun little cottage type rooms that are updated with comfortable beds. I truly appreciate the hospitality that was shown to me during my stays at the Sacajawea Inn.

Was here for many weeks working the Moose Fire from July-Sept 2022. The staff was awesome, room was very clean and laid out as expected. The staff bent over backwards to make sure the room and my stay was great. Absolutely no issues, clean room, new furnishings, great location and tremendous bang for the buck.
