Grace restaurant was a fantastic experience which I hope to get to do again soon. We made short notice reservations after checking in to the attached hotel, and we were very impressed with the quality of service and food. The pumpkin tortellini appetizer was delicious, the dover sole extremely tender, and the chicken incredibly crunchy. If you're looking for a fine dining experience in the area, check it out!

I would give this place 10 stars if I could! My boyfriend took me here for my birthday this year, and it was our second time going. We ordered something from each course because we wanted to try new things! For starters, we ordered Crispy Pork Belly and Seared Foie Gras. Both were amazing. If you don’t know what Foie Gras is, don’t ask, just order it. Most amazing thing I’ve had in a long time! We shared a Grace Salad (so good, can’t go wrong with it). For entrees, my boyfriend ordered the Elysian Farms Rack of Lamb and I ordered the Filet Mignon. Let me tell you, both were cooked absolutely perfectly. Then for dessert he ordered the Is It An Apple? and I ordered the Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee. I’ve never had Creme Brulee before but I don’t think I’ll ever order it anywhere else, because it definitely won’t compare to this one! Also, the ambience is perfect; low lighting and quiet. I edited these pictures to be able to see the food more clearly!

First dinner since the big renovation and it was the best! The new dining room is spacious and lovely. Service is impeccable and relaxed (big thanks to Dawn!). The food is amazing...Wagyu beef sashimi melted in our mouths...seared foie gras to die for...spot on medium rare venison loin...and a wonderful cabernet were highlights. We have been going to Grace for years and it just gets better and better. Fine dining for sure! Thanks Chef Paul!

We waited years to visit Grace (due to remodeling). We heard it was spectacular. We were very disappointed. We weren't asked for our drink order for 40 minutes after being seated while other tables who came in after received drinks and appetizers before we even placed our drink order. I ordered a Ceasar Salad, which I do often, and it was in the lower 25% of all Ceasar Salads I have had. Unfortunately, we were all rather disappointed. There were a few pretty good dishes. But, overall no where near the hype or the cost.

A beautiful evening, from beginning to end. Top notch service. Kind and attentive staff. Extremely clean and well maintained/well appointed surroundings. Very comfy seating. Generously sized tables that don’t get crowded or cluttered. Fresh flowers. Lovely waitress with great recommendations and humor. Delicious and exceptionally well made food. Highly recommend the filet dinner and the chocolate variations dessert. Well worth the money. Easily the very best restaurant in the region. I will be back over and over again.

The food was amazing and creative. Had strip steak cooked to perfection, so soft was able to eat with new dentures. Wife had scallops and arugula salad. The apple shaped cheesecake dipped in white chocolate dyed green was amazing.

We were there for 2 hours, watching people that were seated after us come and go. We had reservations and were on time! We waited nearly 20 minutes for anyone to come to the table and get our drink orders. We waited nearly and hour for our salads after that. At an hour and 45 minutes, we flagged down a waitress and asked for our meals to go because we were over it. No one checked on us or explained why there was a delay. No one explained why other people had multiple course meals and paid their checks while we were still waiting for salads. No one apologized or made any effort to create a fine dining experience for us. We were essentially invisible. It was beyond aggravating to see people on either side of us being waited on, with no check ins, offers for refilled drinks, or any communication whatsoever. We paid $200 for an anniversary dinner that we ended up eating at home, tired and cranky. The food was quite good but very overpriced and the service was absolutely terrible. There are other far more reasonably priced places to enjoy a romantic meal with excellent service and atmosphere.

The experience was exquisite. The balance of flavors on display and the beauty of the meal was the finest I have experienced in State College. My favorite dishes were the pork belly and apple/truffle tart small dishes. My wife and I were celebrating a milestone anniversary and were asking each other what other celebrations we could plan so that we could justify a return visit. While the salmon entrée was not my favorite, it wasn't a question of the quality or presentation of the food, I think I just wasn't in the mood for salmon. The "Is it an Apple" dessert was inventive and delicious. They also gave as, compliments of the chef, an amuse bouche of sea urchin with caviar and ended our night with a lovely chocolate truffle. They also sent us with a sugar coated apricot chew that was simply delightful and tasted incredibly fresh. The service was spot on. David took excellent care of us. Our drinks were always topped off. He offered precise advise when we asked and made sure our needs were always met. The pacing of the meal was perfect. His capability of meeting our needs without asking was amazing, yet he never felt close to being a third wheel at our table. The decoration and aesthetic of the dining room was breathtaking with a grand, yet muted atmosphere. Wood and upholstered walls lead to beautiful crown molding that wraps you in a sense of opulence and elegance. The lighting was perfect for the occasion; I could see my food, and feel like we were out for a romantic, culinary event. I wish I had added a blazer or sportscoat to my attire, but no dress code was ever hinted at to make me feel out of place. I look forward to coming back and trying new offerings and revisiting flavors I am still dreaming about. Thank you for a wonderful night.

Went for an anniversary dinner. It’s been remolded since we last visited. Nicely updated! Started with drinks at the bar. Good service and nice selection. Dinner was delicious!!! Fresh, flavorful and found many options on the menu!

The only restaurant in town that can offer a true fine-dining experience! Dishes were simply delicious and servers and other staff were doing a fantastic job. The place can be great for any occasion given the interior design is the most exquisite one. I will definitely comeback! Thank you.

Celebrated my mom’s 90th birthday last night and couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant!!❤️She had the fois gras appetizer and chicken entree and loved both! My dad had the asparagus soup and chicken and devoured them. I had the Grace salad and scallops and both were amazing! We shared the hazelnut/dark chocolate torte and profiteroles for dessert. Delicious!! Freshly baked bread and complimentary champagne were excellent as well. Can’t say enough about our wonderful server, Gwen. My dad is a little unsteady on his feet. I walked him to the restroom but she offered to wait w/ him so I could go back to our table and not leave my mom.😍 It is 💯 the BEST restaurant in the area and looking most forward to taking my parents there again in August for my dad’s 94th!! Thanks for a wonderful meal and experience!!

This place is beautiful with amazing food and excellent service. But there is no dress code. Half way through our anniversary dinner, a teen age son and father dressed in sweat pants, sneakers and baseball caps were seated next to us. And by next to us I mean a table 18 inches next to us. They watched hockey videos on the son’s phone, and talked hockey over their entire dinner. Our waitress told us there was no dress code and patrons were permitted to sit in the restaurant or bar, at their choice. There were other empty tables where they could have been seated. But they were seated between my husband and I and another couple. It was only about an hour till closing so I doubt these other tables were reserved. I asked at the front desk if I could speak to a manager but both people working didn’t seem to know if there was a manager on duty or not. I am disappointed that there is no dress code at all. But I am just as disappointed that this father and son could have been seated at a table that was not between two couples out for a fancy dinner on a Saturday night. I am not sure the service and food are good enough to make up for no dress code and the unfortunate seating arrangement. We probably won’t go back. We will take our $500 somewhere else.

Honestly one of the best places I've ever eaten. Everything I ordered from the starter to the dessert was top notch.

What a truly great dining experience. I remember Zola from when I was in school and it was a true pleasure to come back to State College and experience that same high level cuisine as an adult. Dawn and the rest of the staff were amazing. The chef and his staff were on point. I had two dietary restrictions and they were wonderful with accommodations. Service and food were perfect. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to have our first dinner out in the last 29 weeks with our baby. We cannot wait to come back again :)

Wonderful meal… Started off in the relaxing lounge with a glass of champagne in front of the fireplace. Chef offered a chilled lobster bisque as an amuse bouche, which was very tasty. Foie gras as good as you’d get in France. The brioche it came with was light and fluffy - one of the best breads I’ve ever had! Dover sole entree was exceptionally well prepared - a wonderful crust on the bottom, with moist and tender flakes up top. Loved the variant of beurre blanc sauce that brought the dish together. The apple almond tart was special. Flaky pastry was delicious, but the homemade amaretto ice cream stole the show. Great selection of wines and bubbles by the glass. Service was excellent - informed and attentive without being obtrusive. Top notch experience suitable for special occasions or foodies looking for a bit of old school colliding with the new world. Highly recommended!

There are many places in State College to get a good beer but few places to get a good meal. This is the place. Good, creative food. Great wait staff. Nice room ands especially nice outdoor dining area.
