The interior was beyond gorgeous, lovely wooden floors, large windows, atmosphere was really nice. Staff was so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. The roast pork entree was a winner.

I went with two friends who love great food and being spoiled. Dukes was absolutely wonderful! The open fires were alight when we arrived making it a beautiful cosy environment immediately. Our host was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. And the food was divine and very reasonably priced! I would highly recommend supporting this fantastic local business and booking again at Dukes.

Definitely hidden gem in Hunter Valley region. The menu was simple and all options were very appealing. Their Scallops was the best scallops that I’ve ever had, so delicious. The service was amazing - friendly and engaging - and the overall ambience of the restaurant was great. Would definitely come back!!

We drove up to Maitland from Sydney to specifically have a meal at this establishment and let's just say it was well worth the drive! The food was sensational, the dining room and garden area were most charming and the wait staff were very attentive. Not only did the adults enjoy the dining experience, but so too the kids. Can't wait to go back again!!

Great restaurant! The food was perfect, the staff are absolutely amazing, gorgeous old building that enhances the ambience. Would highly recommend the scallops, they were cooked to perfection and they do great cocktails too.

Fine dining at its best with the most beautiful hosts and staff. The atmosphere is so inviting and welcoming. The history of the building combined with amazing food, generous portions and 5 star service all serve to make this by far Maitland top establishment. The open fires just tops it all off. Worth the drive and by far surpasses the top restaurants in the Hunter. We cannot speak highly enough. Private dining room with open fire for groups and the best girls night dinner outside in the courtyard under fairy lights for summer. AMAZING!

Never disappoints. We have been here for both lunch and dinner numerous times. The only thing better than the food is the service - smiling, accommodating!

What an amazing place. We are yet to have a meal that hasnt exceeded our expectations. The food is incredible. The service is wonderful and the vibe great. Chefs hat worthy restaurant with a comfortable and relaxed feel. Dukes continues to be our favourite place.

Sensational food. A beautiful old house with a number of rooms and a glorious outdoor back area. Inside the atmosphere was a touch ordinary I thought but, still, well worth visiting. You will eat (affordably too) extremely well.

We had a small wedding ceremony in the courtyard at the rear of Duke's followed by dinner for our family in the whisky room. Everything was amazing, from communication through to customer service and the food. This establishment is powered by passion, and having the right staff in the right roles. Lindsay is the perfect host and we could not have felt like we were in better hands through the afternoon and evening. We will never forget the meal produced by Tim and his team. The skill to produce that quality of food is a credit to them and we'll be talking about that lamb and apple pie for years! We could not even imagine any venue, anywhere!, that could have made our celebration so special. We can't recommend Duke's highly enough.

Thankyou for the amazing food and top notch service. Our only complaint was the noise level, it was very loud and noisy and impossible to have a conversation. It was our first time there and we were thinking of coming back for our wedding anniversary in November but will not now as it is not a quiet romantic setting. Not much you can do about that as a business though.

We love dining at Duke's. We have been here a number of times, most recently our staff Christmas dinner and this week a family dinner celebrating combined bithdays. The food is amazing every time and the service from the floor staff is always genuinely warm and friendly. We love dining here in winter with the open fire and a great selection of Australian wines to suit the menu. We are always looking for excuses to come back and dine again. Congratulations on consistently delivering a high quality dining experience. Can't wait to come back again soon.

Beautiful restaurant, sat in front of a roaring fire and had a great meal...had two entrees as wanted to fit dessert in....Had spaghetti with crab and then lamb with polenta followed by one of the best Creme Brulees I had. Wine was very reasonable too

The place was neat, good atmosphere, friendly stuff members. All the food was really yummy. The portion of the food isn't too big.

As usual Dukes was fabulous, food delicious, staff attentive and friendly, the best cocktails, cool music and a venue your happy to hang out in all night! 💃🕺🏽 But this new menu was just extra good, absolutely spot on, every course my wife and I had, and of course we had all 3! Keep up the amazing experience you offer us foodie addicts at such competitive prices, way better than what’s on offer from many restaurants in the Hunter Valley wine region. Cheers Tim and Lindsay 🥂 PS Try the pork jowl 😋

Fabulous dinner! We all had different entrees and mains and each dish was perfect. Wine list was great too. Good to see lots of local vineyards / wine makers represented. We will definitely be coming back.

This was back in October when we visited Maitland from Sydney. We had a few options for dinner but so glad that we had it at Duke’s Restaurant. We had the 3 course option and the food were delicious, couldn’t fault it. The service was fantastic. Something we did not expect - it was a fairly busy night, my wife and I had our entree and were just chatting away. We didn’t it was that long before the mains came out. As we started to eat our mains we were given a large bowl of fries as a compliment from the chef for the delay in getting the mains out. To the owners (chef and person who served us), fanatic restaurant, great value for delicious food and service. Will definitely dine here again if we were to visit Mainland area again.

Absolutely amazing! Gorgeous historic building with beautiful, flavoursome food and lovely staff. Will definitely be back!

Attentive, well trained staff, willing to engage with customers. Good flavoursome food that was as described. Portions were not overly large leaving room for dessert. Only concern was the noise from a large group of people who were singing and whooping as we arrived. A member of staff was good enough to offer us a table in another room. On the whole a good experience if somewhat expensive for lunch.

Absolutely wonderful dining experience in a beautiful old building. My husband and I are from Sydney and have been to Dukes three times now. Atmosphere is lovely and the meal never fails to impress us. Great wines as well. Thank you chef and thank you to the very friendly staff.

My wife took me here for my birthday dinner with our teenage son. She has previously been here for lunch with girlfriends and loves the food . I am a ex-chef and could not fault the food. It was divine! Will be back when the menu changes with the seasons to try the next offerings on the menu! we had the pork - the ribs and the gnocchi as mains. Entrees was scallops (x2) and the tortellini. Delicious!!

Hands down, one of Maitland’s finest establishments. From start to finish, you’re made welcome & the food hits all the notes. The braised duck with red curry sauce is something special & there plenty of options for coeliac diners. Thanks again guys, we’ll be back!

Only good things to say about our experience. Excellent food and service. Great value for the quality. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu and will also tell everyone else to go here too!
