As good as any Indian place in Philly. This is an absolute gem. The food is knockout good, so rich and decadent feeling. Every single thing that came to the table I swear was my favorite. My date and I didn't say a word to each other because we we so engrossed in how excellent the food was. The atmosphere is clean, modern, and bright. The service was so attentive and you can tell everyone deeply cares about you having a wonderful time. We can't wait to come back!

Average place. Just like any other Indian restaurant. It was tough to find this restaurant as the signboard was faded. They have invested so much on impractical decors like fancy crockeries but forgot to print a decent menu🤣. The plates are so small that I was literally struggling to have the food. Coming to the food… We ordered chicken tandoori which was some gravy based preparation. It was not at all chicken tandoori. Then we ordered chicken buttermasala, chicken soup, naan, madras pepper chicken. Check out the pictures. So the chicken buttermasala was good. Soup had bones in it 😡. Not enough motivated to back again.

Nalan and their staff of foodies is a gem of South Indian deliciousness! We always have a great time experiencing and experimenting South Indian delicacies!

Sunday spent well... what a delicious meal 😋. There are so many tasty veg & nonveg options. It's definitely worth the visit. Live music was really nice. Ambiance is awesome. Staff was friendly. Service can be a bit better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, but just be prepared to pay approx double or more amount per person than any average buffet restaurant (just a heads up), buffet is only available on weekend's lunchtime, its definitely worth if you've got couple of hours to relax & enjoy good food & music and last but not least try not to alot in your prior meal coz...man, you regret it that you couldn't stuff in alot as the food is so tasty 😄 (advise from a bigtime foodie). Overall, it's a very good restaurant for sure!

It's an elegant place.. Fine dining almost.. Food was very good.. I personally tried the Veg Thali and it was like a festive meal for lunch Definitely going back to try other items for dinner soon.

Had the weekend special Idiyaappam With Goat Curry. First time trying the Idiyaappam, which was similar to rice noodles used for Vietnamese spring roll wraps. The curry was not gamey and the spice levels were just right. I used to not care too much for Lassi in the past, but the Mango Lassi here has converted me.

It’s feels good date night Indian food spot close to malvern. We went there for good times. We had to wait a bit for the food. The 555 was good and real spicy. Chilli paneer was too sweet though. Pongal was nice too with a good amount of ghee and stuff. Rest of the food we had was veg South Indian mini thali, bullet naan, chicken curry and boneless biryani. Those all were nice but wouldn’t say the best I had. So a good spot to give you a classy feeling restaurant with decent enough food.

Omg, the dosa here is amazing! Amazing quality and perfect portions. I got Mysore Dosa extra spicy. Amazing! Sambar was perfectly made. My partner got the paneer tikka dosa which was also delicious, he ate the whole thing! We shared a chicken curry special with 2 paratha. The paratha was even better than any I could find in Jackson Heights (NY). So authentic. Highly recommend, I hope Nalan never reduces quality because it’s completely worth every bite and dollar. Thank you for such an amazing meal! Very satisfied. Will be returning. (Also very kind and helpful service)

This place is always great. Food is top notch, service is quick and kind. Mango lassi is a must.

We are regular to this restaurant so have almost tasted everything in the menu. Appetizers, south indian, main course curries with roti everything is excellent here. But Biryanis never impressed us. Our favourites are lamb chops, pepper chicken, lamb Curry, chicken curry, malabar parotta and mango lassi. They run events like unlimited chaat(Indian snacks) for $20 per person on Wednesday and many more. One needs to confirm before arrival. Seating is ample & spacious. Food arrives quickly. Vijay is one of their employee who is super friendly and informative about menu. They have robo server which my kid definitely enjoys. Parking is free. Recommended!

Been here twice and each time was wonderful! Everything is delicious! The staff is so friendly and helpful with any questions. The atmosphere is a low happy hum of activity.

Big portions & delicious food! Service was a bit slow- waited 15 mins for someone to come over so we could get containers for leftovers even though 4 servers walked by our table and didn’t ask if we needed anything. Also had to flag someone down to get the check. No one checked in to see how the food was and if needed anything either.

All I can say is just WOW! If you are someone looking and craving for some super authentic south India food that reminds you of home, this is the place to be at. The flavors and taste are out of this world and one of the best Indian restaurants I have come across in the US. A request visitor and their buffet’s on special festivals are just phenomenal. I had this Pongal which you get only in Hindu temples India and was so nostalgic having to see that in the US. Amazing staff and super friend atmosphere.

We hosted our graduation party at Nalan last week.Reasonably priced. Everyone was very welcoming and warm during the whole process. Specially Hari was very flexible . Nalan as a team made sure that the food, space , ambiance was as pleasant all through the party. Their food is awesome. Would definitely recommend Nalan , if you are looking for partying. We ordered takeout today!. Specials Ambur mutton biriyani, chicken kebab and chicken Thali meals. There was “nothing special”in them. The kebab was decent . But the Ambur biriyani was like some rice cooked in gravy or refried tawa biriyani. It was quite heavy in spices too, nothing close to real Ambur biriyani, on top of it, it had chicken pieces too. 🙄 Thali , oh my God! Bad Sambar, very bad rasam , the sweet rasamalai had the taste similar to readymade frozen ones. They should ideally serve a South Indian thali with some traditional rice not basmati . I only could appreciate the appalam, curd, chicken 65 and Kara kuzhambu that came in the thali. I have in all my dining years never have felt so compelled to give a review seriously! The place though looked nice and clean.

My favorite Indian restaurant!!! I am SO happy to have an amazing local Indian spot without having to travel to Frazer. Everything here is amazing and my husband samples the menu while I tend to stick with my favorite, Lamb Saag. Last night we also tried the Gobi 65 and it was incredible!!!!
