Quality place for fresh food. Staff went above and beyond to make us happy. Great value for money here with an additional mini menu if you're just feeling a snack. Food tasted great. Just all round good vibes and atmosphere and look forward to coming back.

Below average food, restaurant wasn't really Mexican-y, ordering wasn't clear, food wasn't fresh... I won't be trying a GYG again

Ordered our meals at 12:43 and still waiting for mine at 13:13 when everyone has finished theirs. Ordered a large meal that was advertised for $7 (extra) and chose the options offered but was charged $11.10 instead. Burrito was tasteless. Loved the experience in the Cannington one but this is abysmal.

I’m reposting this after giving the restaurant a second chance. The food was cold and they put CARROTS in the bowls!! That’s the first time I see carrots in their menu but it’s ok. Burritos very plain and hard to see any meat, just full of plain rice. Outdoor area was completely disgusting and no one seems to care enough to clean.

So glad I paid extra for the non existent sour cream. Watched two young ladies doing all the work whilst 5 other staff had a nice long conversation. Extremely average and bland, lots and lots and lots of rice though… not much else certainly not worth the money.

My son ordered his food.. received everything except for his fries. Half an hour after finishing he went in to enquire. They said 2 min. 10 min later still waiting. Seriously terrible terrible service

I couldn't fault Guzman y Gomez. The food was stunning, the service was fast and the ambience was gorgeous. The Mexican music lightened up the restaurant and the staff was friendly. Highly recommended, would definitely eat here again. 5/5: Great ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Extremely disappointed to be writing this… Unfortunately tonight we had our order somehow mixed up not once but twice. When we ordered we clearly asked our lovely server for two mild and one spicy Beef burritos from the little G meals. When our food arrived, all three of us had brisket nachos. We were very confused and we looked at our receipt and it had gone through wrong despite us being clear with our order. We asked them if it was possible to change the meals which they were very understanding of, however when we got our new meals and we had *re stated* what filling we would like which was beef, we got our burritos with pork 🫠. Kinda disappointed because it’s frustrating when you’ve been clear twice and you still get “beef” mixed up with “pork” No we didn’t go back and request for them to be remade again, because at this point we were just too tired to negotiate with staff that we’re struggling to understand the difference between pork and beef😅 This has not been the first time this has happened, I highly recommend just going to a different GYG because it’ll save you the stress.

Friendly staff and well presented food 😊 They clearly take care in food preparation, though sometimes they skimp a bit on the meat and toppings... sometimes... But in general I love coming here, it's a great atmosphere and always clean which is much appreciated. Service can sometimes be slow, but the staff usually apologise if delayed 🙂

Always competent and friendly service, food is well made, super tasty and at the best temperature. Not too hot not cold 😍 I recommend the shredded mushroom with guac burrito 🤤 The servers are always welcoming and kind. Thanks guys!

This is the place I always go to get the best nachos, will always love their food. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The best thing I found is to order on the app, as it's fast, efficient and easy. The app is the same as the name of the restaurant, "Guzman Y Gomez", others make call it the GYG app.

Very minimal toppings on the queso fries. Feel like if I didn’t want toppings I would have got a normal fries. Then boy at the counter doesnt speak at all so I feel like I just got a bit of poor service. Wouldn’t recommend unless extremely hungry

Pretty disappointed with tonight’s experience. Serving size of the burrito has reduced so much that we could see the bottom of the bowl and only few small pieces of chicken. And on top of that, they don’t have barramundi on their menu anymore. Unfortunately I won’t be back.

Slowest service - order on the app and still waited 25 mins after order was placed for the food!! The place wasn’t even that busy either.. Chips were cold and sitting there for 20 mins before they were placed into the bag. Some of the staff were very rude! Zambreros is so much better and higher quality of food!

Whilst food was usual good quality, staff were very poor. Made online order and sat for 10 mins past stated eta- store wasn’t even busy! Asked at counter and one burrito had been made 10 mins earlier and were waiting on second one. Sat for another 5 mins until ready and then number called- no ‘sorry for the delay’ or anything. Poor customer service.

At home in iso, with covid and I was hoping to get a yummy burrito. Made my order, and proceed to wait for confirmation from the restaurant... Well 45 mins later and not even a confirmation! I would have preferred they just canceled it rather than leave me hanging. Tried calling, no answer. Menu log tried calling, no answer. Seems this place is run by potatoes. Second time I've not managed to get an order from here, and that's going to be the last time I try. Such a shame cause the food is delicious. Yours truly, agony aunt.

I went in here recently to order food nobody attended the counter for some time which was surprising because there were only two other customers in the store.I realised that I was going to be left waiting so chose to leave.Mad Mex in Claremont on their busiest days can get the food out pretty quick so something is clearly going wrong when their competitors can't do the same.

This line or recent wait time does not tell you the quality or efficiency of the restaurant. this is our favourite location not because it’s close to home but because the true value is in the great products of they offer and the service that comes with it

Poor customer service considering there were only 4 customers, 2 of whom had already been served. One person at the front desk just glaring into the space of delivery bags to be picked up, in which we realise there was no hope at all. The other front service person still trying to comprehend another customer order, 13 minutes later. Hats off the the 2 cooks in the background working hard. 15 mins later...Adios amigo, we left without ordering.

Guzman have teamed up with Fable to offer a delicious shredded mushroom filling which you can add to their tacos, burritos, bowls and nachos. I’ve been so keen to try this as I’m already a huge fan of Fable’s shiitake mushroom products. The shredded shiitake mushroom filling combines Fable with authentic Mexican flavours including smoked paprika, garlic and onion, and you can choose if you’d like it spicy or mild. I ordered it spicy with their nachos, together with the vegan chimi mayo, and it was absolutely delicious! I just love the meaty texture of the mushrooms, swipe for a closer look. Please note though that Guzman have NOT labeled this menu item as vegan, as there is a slight chance of cross contamination in their small, fast-paced kitchens, however the ingredients themselves are vegan.

Really really really disappointed with the managers behaviour. This manager guy who would call himself Gus (I am sure this isn’t his real name) was extremely rude to us all. We were two families with children there and would really like to name and shame this guy. This is not the first time they mucked up our order but each time the staff here was apologetic and eager to fix the issue. Today though we experienced the rudest behaviour in customer service history. After raising the concern with staff over two errors in one order, Gus the manager shows up, starts asking us to just eat what ever they made and starting abusing us when we complained about these guys mucking up the order again and for wasting our time. We asked them to compensate for the lost time and drinks and the manager says, no you are not going to get anything and that I have had enough. He then alleged he said I have had enough (after one corona) This manager on Thursday evening, 23rd November 2023 was so rude that our family was in shock the way he treated us. I am specifying the time and date of this incidence mainly because I don’t think this manager gave us the right name, he also asked his staff to give his name to us and they would refuse to do so. First they muck up the order twice in one evening, and then is getting treated the way he did is shameful and an absolute disgrace on Guzman Cockburn staff, franchisor and their managers part. I asked if I could have the contact number of the franchisor and he would refuse to even talk to us. 15 minutes later when we again raised our concern, the third time when our mucked up order wasn’t coming / reordered he then instead of apologising the third time started threatening us to call the police. I do not ever give give reviews, in fact after being abused the way we did I was compelled to create this account and write this review. After reading this review the franchise owner should really make efforts to contact us and or deal with the concerns raised appropriately. We will never be back again.

We ordered 2 burrito bowls at 12:16pm & they were only ready for pick up at 12:41pm. The service here is extremely SLOW. We shouldn't be waiting 25 minutes for fast food. GYG in Cannington is so much busier but they're so much quicker. Normally at GYG at Cannington it is only a 5 to 10 minute wait. I would give a 0 star rating for GYG in Success if it were possible.

Had a salad and bowl with pulled pork and mince. Great taste sufficient quantity. Quick service and arrival of food. Loved the fact that stewards and stewardesses spoke Spanish/ southamericam accent. Added to the atmosphere of being in southamerica / mexico. Too many ubereats/pickup people hanging around the counter the only downside but I guess the takeaway and food delivery is the main stay of business nowadays. Really good experience.👌

Ok but do not order the fries The burritos are fine, decent amount ; slow cooked beef was below average, chicken above average just. Habanero sauce has never seen a habanero chilli it’s more of a 5/10 in chilli heat. Fries 🤷‍♂️ see image - queso fries were miniature, so tiny I bought them back thinking it was a mistake. The little stocker thing has “large” on it but the only thing large about it was the disappointment from customers. Staff are typical of fast food places, 15-17 hrs old with very little interest…. Not complaining just facts

Place use to be good but food is now very average and they are cutting corners, cold and about half the meat it use to have, enchilada is $17 and has next to no pulled pork in it. Mostly just rice and beans.

HUGE burrito , full of fresh tomato , onion, coriander , grilled chicken, and topped with the freshest most delicious guacamole 🥑....so so soooooo good! Quesillada also amazing ...all of the above ✅Great value for money. So good to have a fresh and tasty, healthy take away option. I'll be ordering weekly! 10/10

Ordered some food via menu log. Waited over 2 hours and the ETA kept changing. Every time I called the restaurant, the line would be busy. Don't take on the order if you can't meet the ETA. 2 hours after ordering this meal, and I still have no update.

Eat here often food tastes amazing. I usually have the enchilada or salad. Always tastes fresh. Sometimes a little light on the meat. Never an issue with service.

You should watch the screen in front of the person taking your order to ensure it's correct. In our experience the "mini" gets ignored and you have to correct them. Also, my dining partner is sure she has had white wine here before. The person taking the order added pure blonde cider to the order. After three attempts to repeat our request we gave up. You might be missing out on income here ...

usually love this restaurant but when me and my friend came into here , my friend had to repeat her order 5 times and they still got it wrong. Then they proceeded to charge my friend for 2 meals when we only ordered one.

Always slow service, cold restaurant as doors are always left open with no heaters, inside, uncomfortable seating, often mistakes in your order and I’d say more than half the staff aren’t friendly. Quite disappointing because the food used to be great taste and value

I gave this place a second chance and it still remains very very poor! No clean up of outside tables. Waiting ages for food. 1st visit with family.... buritto with just meat and rice nothing else inside and wrap was hard....... waited ages for the chips, asked the waitress a few times, arrived when we had finished our food and Chips were cold. Tried to complain and the lady could not understand what I was trying to say. 2nd time the meal my son received was meant to be a regular looked more like a mini ...it was the nacho chips...hardly any chips and looked a mess... my son didn't want to complain as he was starving having to wait so long. At least I know we won't be going back again and wasting our money! Such a shame as it use to be so good and judging by other reviews people are experiencing the same things.

We expect the owner of the store to read this and take this very serious. We have be customer’s for years. I have never experienced the rudeness of this ever before. I believe this gentleman should be fired. We ordered on table 56 and 68. I am hear to defend my husband as he was treated so rudely. Table 68 had a guava drink and 1 corona with a lime. The drinks came out 25 minutes apart Table 68 we ordered 5 meals for 4 people + a baby.. they got the order wrong. They continually keep bringing the same meal back being an enchilada instead of quesadilla and we never received the small nachos .. the vegetarian nachos were spicy 🌶️ despite asking for them to be ( like usually never put spice how they use too! Nor the same amount of toppings ). The beef nachos weren’t spicy either! If you offer different levels of heat at least make the food happy to be spicy then ! Let’s not focus on the food here. The topic was the service and lack of customer service. We never had our meals together, actually they never came despite saying they were making them. We asked can the food come out and ask for complementary drinks despite ordering our meals at 9pm.. it’d 30 min to 45 min late now. The so called southern American guy called guz (sure that isn’t his name) said I’m not giving any drinks! It was witnessed by 3 people he said ‘I have had enough!’ He mumbled under his breath as he left the table. About 5 minutes later we approached the guy and he denies saying it. 3 people heard it - then he talks about my husbands alcohol and inability to serve him! Cover story to say I think he has had enough. Excuse me don’t belittle my husband. We are actually quiet successful people. My husband and I have been at shops and had 1 beer. Not drunk!! I think he needs to find a new job his incapable. This complaint is about his lack of ability to communicate and be courteous don’t yell abuse on customer’s. HE WAS MORE INTERESTED IN Calling the police and not making our meals. Despite us not being abusive. We purely ask for complementary drink or drinks. 3 out of 5 people receive nothing (one being a young child). We are married families with children and he did this to us really? He apologies for the lateness and still proceeded to call the police. Just pathetic service. Sorry for what - being an egotistic idiot. We asked him to leave the table and he continued to argue with us. We asked him to leave the table and we didn’t want to be served by him anymore. He continued to come our table . By 10pm the meals still didn’t come. He decided to call the police and then proceeds to say officers no problem here. He didn’t want us to speak to them. We did anyway. Guz insisted on calling the security or police. The man supposedly called by the name his ( wouldn’t admit his real name) all the staff were told by him not to tell us his name. Please tell me - where is his customer service of the customer being right. We just wanted a family meal and didn’t even get that. To top it off he called the police on a family of 2 couples with a baby. Then he waste the police officers time 4 officer came to the scene waste for resources? PS he clearly can’t read number and keep coming back with the wrong receipts for the purpose of a refund. Clearly he has no regard for the time of our valuable police force!

Sometimes slow cooked beef is not cooked well and it tastes raw.....also either spicy or mild, I couldn't find any much taste as they don't put enough sauce on it...maybe to include in separate containers for takeaways!!

It wasn't incredible... food was either too spicy or too bland. For example the cheese loaded fries were so spicy they were nearly inedible, yet the burrito was packed full of bland starchy rice that i had to ask for sauce to dip it in cos it was so flavourless. Much prefer somewhere like Zapatas if you're looking for a Mexican meal out.

Always a good casual Mexican chain for a quick bite. Pulled pork Burritos and Enchiladas are my favorites. Good to know that they use no added preservatives and artificial flavours. You can add free sauces and topping including coriander and onions as you like at a counter next to the cashier.

Very nice Mexican, all the usual options to choose from and made fresh to order. We visited the store 10 minutes before closing and the staff were more than happy to accommodate us. Well worth a visit

Had the pulled pork burrito bowl with brown rice, the rice and beans were cold, the pork was clumpy and lacked any spice. I ordered spicy, and it was extremely mild. It was hard to order when you can't see the options on the menu board any more. I used to be a big fan of Guzman y Gomez. I will definitely think again before picking Guzman for any meal.

We had slow cooked beef, pulled pork and chicken burritos , and a burrito bowl. Taste nice, but hardly any meet in it. Pork wasn't tender and the extra guacamole had a huge piece of avocado ( almost half). At least we know it is from avocado.
