We went for a late lunch to Ocean Basket and it was really easy to find parking and it did not take too long before we were seated at the restaurant which never fails in terms of their consistency of the quality of their food. We had the Platter for two and loved it so much.

First time since the upgrade. Looks stunning. Very busy though. Means business is good.

A lot of renovation work has been done to the centre. Generally clean with a good selection of stores. Very handy if you're wanting to buy groceries on special with a Checkers, Pick and Pay, Woolworth, Clicks, Game and Dischem all close to each other. The parking is chaotic at the best of times. The motorcycle parking is separated from car parking.

Always here, parking is cheap, the Checkers is the best on the planet, the deli is more than what I expected and they always satisfy my families taste buds. The easy chicken burgers and the pork belly, 😋 I could eat the package it came in 😋😅 so flavourful, juicy, a great idea to add for a roadtrip lunch. 😍😍😍😍😍 Checkers Kenilworth you're the greatest.

Love that it is hardly ever happening packed unless it’s month end. It is clean, everything is within reach, it is a one stop mall - get everything in one place. 👌🏽

Kenilworth Centre is a mid-size retail mall in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. The Centre offers 90 minute free parking and houses most of retail shops South Africans uses. The Checkers housed in this centre is a flagship store. It has a very nice layout and stocks items not always available at normal Checkers store. There's also a large Pick n Pay in the mall to provide good competition to Checkers. The biggest attraction in this mall is probably it's halal food hall. It attracts scores of people and the restaurants are always busy. I don't always like going to this place because it is always packed with people and sometimes also the noise that accompanies large numbers of people.

I had such a bad experience, they stole my front grill and spot light. I reported the Incident to centre management but I was told they are not liable for any loss of damage while I payed for parking and they have CCTV footage as proof.

Pretty crowded, not very well marked, but the security staff are helpful and able to direct you where you need to go. Parking is also tough and bays aren't really thoughtfully constructed so you may have to do some fancy wheel work on busy days. Great site selection, though. It's also home to Mfraling Nuts (main food court), so worth any inconvenience.

Different shops are great and great eating restaurant options but my god the parking situation is horrible. Whoever designed the parking of KC needs to be fired. The design of the parking is asking for bottlenecks to happen. Completely throws one off from going there. I went when it was not even that busy but I waited for more than 20minutes to get out of the parking.

Always enjoy my trips to KC...especially since they now have baby/mothers parking bays on top and bottom. I woukdnt park at the bottom though... never a space available... but parking on top is your best bet. I wish they would have a Jet move back to KC then all the shops i prefer are in one place.

I love the diversity of stores in this mall. I must compliment the mall management on the wonderful offer of I minutes free parking which other malls do not do. I make use of this offer weekly and am always able to save a little extra money here. Thank you.

The mall itself is fine. Clean, staff is attentive and helpful. My main concern is that of the checkers supermarket. Since the refurbishment there is no time during the day when that Store does not feel like it is overcrowded. When it is actually overcrowded you can stand in line for 45 minutes in the Express queue. Pre the "refurb", the customer never had issues like this.

They have done an incredible job with the renovations... You should see the food court! The centre is clean and spacious.

The Centre is clean, well lit, and safe. The parking is a bit of a maze. It’s hard to know at which centre entrance you’ll be marked near.

Your mall bathrooms are very dirty. Please could you put a tap and sanitiser in the cubical for Muslim woman. So we can stop with wetting toilet paper. You have a Salaah section but how are we to be completely clean if we are contaminating ourselves in the bathrooms. Please consider this recommendation instead of constantly renovating the stairs and lifts - which are out of order most times when I come to the mall.

I haven’t been here for ages and was pleasantly surprised. The mall is easy to navigate with a huge variety of shops to choose from. I particularly like the look of the revamped Checkers which unfortunately I didn’t have time to visit. Lots of parking available which is reasonably priced.

if you like me who does not enjoy the hustle and bustle of Century City then Kenilworth Centre is the mall for you. It has everything you need from food, clothing , hairdressers and even places to have a massage or your nails done. I enjoy walking around without getting lost. There is ample parking that does not require you to pay an arm and a leg.

My favorite centre. Quick to navigate. Great for banking and for multiple store purchases. Undercover safe parking. The food court is also convenient for those who enjoy fast foods.

Over the years, I loved going go to Kenilworth Centre to eat at the Food Court, Checkers, Pick n Pay, Wimpy, and it’s my Fifth Favorite Shopping Mall to go to. The Upgrade looks incredible, but I really missed the old Ster-Kinekor Cinema Complex, but still I really enjoyed going to the Food Court so much.

I was born in 1972 and remember the days KC had a helicopter that dropped vouchers and cash from the helicopter to promote KC back in the day . Most people at the time were shopping at checkers which is now a BMW branch . KC has changed so much over the years but Is still one of the best places to shop at . Just a pity our government is doing nothing to stop crime and it makes KC look like a prison from the outside rather than a shopping centre. I would recommend this place to anyone to shop . Get all your shopping done under one roof that is my philosophy.

My favourite mall :) So many great stores I haven't even been to yet. It feels like home to me. Cinemas are superb :)

  • 4/5 Matthew B. 9 months ago on Google
It's a wonderful busy place, with lots of shops and always a lovely Atmosphere... The worst thing about is getting in and out of the parking...😡 Going in you wave, push, press, wave and wave and still no ticket.. cars queuing up behind you.. it's the worst car park in cape town for that..

  • 5/5 Morne S. 9 months ago on Google
Well worth the visit with lots of parking and a large selection of shops.

  • 3/5 Colleen G. 9 months ago on Google
Always busy. All restaurants are halaal. Every store you need is in this mall - including a liquor store at the PnP entrance. Weird people hanging out/ hovering around the banks and atms, always. This mall doesn't feel safe and is generally a last resort for me.

Always a pleasure doing one's shopping at KC. All major retail stores under one roof. Ample parking & with a hour free parking just to pop in for take aways or picking up a order of some sort. Thereafter a nominal fee is charged for certain period of times. Few food outlets at the food court needs seating for patrons who wants to have lunch whilst on a break.

  • 4/5 doreen m. 5 months ago on Google
Mall always clean. Most of the shops under one roof. Not too many people. Always a pleasure to shop here It has quite a few eating places. Mostly halal.

The staff in most of the shops need serious customer service training. Don't even bother to complain to Management. I am still waiting for Pick 'n Pay to call me!!. That said if you need something Kenilworth has it. It is well priced and cater to the middle to lower class man.

Enough parking. Friendly car guards. The center is clean and has the necessary retail outlets that I use. Convenient for shopping after my workout at Virgin Active (which, except for the shape class, I personally prefer to Claremont VA)

I was there to update my beneficiaries at Old Mutual. Even before entering the business my consultant greeted me. When inside I was ushered to him immediately. Excellent flawless service!

Always love going to KC been shopping there for 30 years it's very convenient for me. Have had very few bad experiences actually just 2 but not because of the centre itself. Love the friendly staff in the shops & basically find anything you might want from the ordinary & not so ordinary. KC is highly recommended.

Haven't been there in some time, but was pleasantly surprised when I went in there the other day and saw the newly done renovations. It makes the Mall feel like it's gone up instead of down since I was there last. Nice Mall to do my shopping and quick run by groceries.

Went to swop a shorts for a different size. They did not have my size but the assistant offered to check which store had and reserve it. Great service and hats off to the helpful staff.

Kenilworth Centre is a very nice local shopping mall. It has a wide range of outlets including a stunning Checkers which has a very interesting and comfortable lay out and a superb selection of foods, especially speciality foods such as cheese and great ready made meals and salads. I will write a seperate review with photo's next time I shop there. There are a few chain clothes stores such as Truworths Man which I visit whenever they have sales (which is quite frequent). There is a busy PostNet which I use regularly and branches of all of the high street banks. I bank with FNB and their service is superb and Covid19 safety is imposed in a thoughtful manner. All in all a very nice shopping center.

I appreciate that there are many parking spaces for people with disabilities. And that other customer do not use this facilities. Thank you. It's a clean, well maintained complex.

  • 5/5 Mpho N. 1 year ago on Google
The shopping center is very lively, stores are well grouped making it easier to find certain stores which are compatible and the mall staff is always there to help out in any way they can be it giving out directions to certain stores or making sure that everybody is safe, so yeah it's a fun place to do some shopping and have some fun💯

  • 5/5 Zhoriena E. 1 year ago on Google
I Iike that the fact that the shops are close to one another. Unlike other malls shops are located far apart. So you don't spend your time walking yourself to the point of exhaustion. I make sure I do all my shopping at Kenilworth Centre. All the staff in Kc know me and my family, cause we are regulations, lol.

Always a delight going to this mall which has practically anything you need at its on site stores. Worthy of its five star rating. Just a footnote: the car attendants are really friendly.

This shopping complex has all your major retail chains available. Thus making it convenient for shoppers. Its also situated on a taxi route for those persons without transportation. A large food court so ample variety to tickle the taste buds. Parking is free for 1hr,perfect bonus.

Good variety of shops. Can usually find what you are looking for. Relatively clean. Lots of foot traffic. The only issue I have is the checkers 60 60 drivers park really badly at the standard bank entrance. They park in the way all the time. The parking is like a maze.

  • 4/5 Coll M. 1 year ago on Google
A very good centre with a wide variety of shops. Store maps would be a very welcome addition to the mall, although the Info staff have been very knowledgeable and helpful there is one who is abrupt and quite rude to customers. In general it is a very clean well run mall with very reasonable parking prices and really lovely parking guard staff. Please tip them!

It's one of the old school Cape Town favorites, Kenilworth Centre. It's got all your basics, and a few interesting shops here and there. It's got ample parking, which is free for the first while. This is the sort of centre to take your grandmother for a cup of tea and a sandwich before doing your weekly food shop, after which you pop home for a tuna mayo pita bread.

  • 5/5 Hook Shoot And Cook With D. 1 year ago on Google
This mall is our one stop bi weekly shopping destination. Almost all the stores we need under one roof. Parking is free for under 60 minutes and thereafter quite reasonable. Ample parking on the roof. Good security.

  • 4/5 DAL R. 1 year ago on Google
Generally a nice experience. Lots of parking. Parkade badly designed though, and always feels very dirty. But when you get inside, shopping centre is clean, and with all the shops you need. The Checkers has been revamped and now much nicer than before. Makes some of the other retail outlets look outdated now.

  • 5/5 Insaaf S. 1 year ago on Google
Great place to find most things you looking for. Only thing is, the parking is quite interesting and weird 🤔 especially the beams section. Great thing is that if you there under an hour, you don't pay for parking. The car guards are always friendly

Checkers express cashiers does not have identity numbers boards eg 13,14,15 etc. I have brought this to the attention of the Manager Twice in the past 2 months. Zero Action taken 🙈. A very simple action ignored which helps customers to identify which cashier is free. How important is customers to your business?????

An excellent mix of stores. Recently been expanded and revamped. Boasts a newly launched sustainable rooftop garden. Plus... one and a half hours of free parking!!!
