A real hidden gem in Stellenbosch! I’m so glad I saw an article where someone recommended this place! Take a picnic and a book and go enjoy an afternoon here! The gardens are beautiful- so so well kept and beautiful! Had a lovely afternoon here. It’s R50pp, I’d bring cash as there’s no cellphone signal and they don’t have a card machine, otherwise you’ll have to do an eft at home. If I’m ever in Stellenbosch again, this spot is on my list!!

What a magical place!! As birders and photographers, we spent nearly 5 hours here and will be back for more. So much beauty. An awesome legacy left behind by Una vd Spuy and now managed by her sons. See you soon. ❤️

Very very special experience!! What a privilege to meet the owner and hear interesting background history to Una vd Spuy family.

It is a beautiful garden Estate located in the middle of wine area and very close with some beautiful hikes. Old nectar has several fully-equipped Villas on property. posted in a two-bedroom Villa which had a full kitchen with everything you could need. when staying on this property you have full access to the gardens we can stroll around and have your morning coffee everyday in a different beautiful location. This is a great place to stay and use as a base to visit wineries around the area or go hiking up the mountain to the Waterfall. I would say enough for everybody to do and the pictures speak for themselves.

Stunning, peaceful gardens nestled between the mountains. A beautiful, hidden gem! Had the pleasure of a long chat with Peter van der Spuy, Una's son. Will definitely go back again and again. Take your own picnic and relax listening to the birds.

Beautifully tended gardens and curated buildings. Adorable trio of Yorkies as a welcoming committee... The sight of a number of baboons was scary: Turned out they were more scared of us and moved away rather quickly.

What a beautiful place to visit. The gardens are spectacular. And the bonus is that you can take your own picnic in. Very relaxing day all in all.
