Room was dingy, sofa was lumpy and bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was to begin at 5:30 am, we went down to the breakfast area at 6:20, no breakfast! The girl had “an emergency “, and desk staff thought customers were being rude complaining about breakfast not being ready. The girl that was stocking the breakfast bar was going as slow as she could. I guess she was having a bad day, and wanted to share her emergency by having people wait as long as possible! We took the shuttle at 7:00 and breakfast was still not ready! The girl behind the desk was quite rude because I had the audacity to complain about having to leave without breakfast! The only good thing about this hotel was the shower! Do yourself a favor stay elsewhere!!

Good hotel. Great location, right next to few restaurants that serve delicious food. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable, but what truly makes this place special is the Service!!! This 5 star review is based on my experience with Gloria and Jackie. What an amazing team, what an incredible service. Both of them made our stay unforgettable and remarkable. I truly hope that their hard work is recognized and appreciated, because they make all the difference in the world ♡♡♡♡

Well let’s start off if you’ve never been to Detroit area be prepared for a lot of u-turns, for the room itself had good complimentary shampoo/conditioner, body wash, hand soap. Beds were comfortable, shower not too terrible. Small sized rooms but served its purpose. Front desk associate was really nice and very pleasant Marty the breakfast bar associate was extremely pleasant and is a great employee. This gentleman went above and beyond for our family and we thank him greatly! Thank you for the conversations and best of luck with your great grand!!!

Called and reserved a room with parking. I had a coupon from quikpark for $145. I explained all this at booking. When I showed up they charged me $210. They said I didn’t reserve the one with parking and they couldn’t change it…. Hotel dated. Rooms were clean for age though.

We stayed here the night before an early flight. Although a little worn, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. There are several restaurants within walking distance which was very convenient for us as well as the many long term parking lots nearby. The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient.

I enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were clean, the complimentary breakfast was pleasant and delicious and the staff was friendly and professional. My Mom and I stayed for 3 days and we enjoyed each day. Thank you Holiday Inn Express for a wonderful stay.

I usually don’t leave reviews for HI as I have frequented them around the country. Also, my parents own a resort through HI vacation club. But this one did not meet the HI standard. First, the room was not clean or updated. They either have a bad leak or molding in the bathroom as there were rust spots in the ceiling. The curtains were torn the bed did not look like it was clean. I was thinking of two stars, but the customer service was not good either. They only supplied us with half a roll of tissue. This is not a bid deal if they’re will to make it right. But the front desk agent said “I am not housekeeping, I work at the front desk”. I guess she felt it wasn’t her job to provide feedback. Additionally, she didn’t want to bring us additional tissue. She said “ do you want to come get it?” I explained we were getting ready to so we could catch out flight in time. Then she said she would bring it to us after she finished checking in a guest. It seems petty but I’ve come to expect a certain level of customer service from HI. Needless to say, I won’t be staying at this location moving forward. HI has kept a standard throughout the country, it’s sad this one is they way it is with the heavy price tag to stay here.

Great stay! Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Only complaint is the rooms are a bit loud, but was only really noticable in the morning!

Location and the shuttle service was key! And it’s the littlest thing that made this hotel better than the rest- the shower water pressure was amazing! There was so much water coming out at once, it just made it feel like you could actually rinse your hair without standing there for like 10 minutes..

Overall, a really good experience. Room could have been cleaned better. Hand soap was empty so we used body wash instead, but the beds were good! Breakfast was the usual hotel options, though the pancake machine was broken. The elevators are loud, and slightly scary, but the staff was nice and the location was perfect with lots of airport parking nearby.

Good option for parking and staying before early morning flight. Breakfast was out by 5am even though they said 530. Quik Park right behind it and they offer stay/park deal. Shuttles every 30 min and you're only 5 min from airport dropoff. Rooms average. Could hear a little plane noise but was ok.

Stayed here for a baseball tournament. One of the perks was a restaurant on site however we were told on check in that they are not open on the weekends.. already disappointed. Asked the front desk if we could order pizza and utilize all the seating they have and was told "yes but no" because we may be a bother to the front desk even though the lobby is open intl 10pm . Also when booking I was asked if I wanted the price with breakfast and I said yes, however when I tried to get breakfast was told I needed a coupon and according to the front desk we did not have breakfast included so that was extra irritating. They also let my kids add drinks and snacks to my room without my permission. That doesn't seem wise. The rooms were really disappointing. The whole place had an odd smell and the wall paper was peeling at every section. The only thing decent was the coffee in the morning and the look of the lobby was nice. Would not stay at this holiday inn again.

The facility was fine and clean. But the HVAC unit made all sorts of racket and kept us both awake for at least half of the night. The battery for the TV remote was also dead but we all know that can happen anytime. The staff was excellent.

The hotel was great because of the location. Not to far from the airport walking distance of some great eating place. The staff was so help when having questions about the area. I plan on staying at this location again when I come back.

Friendly staff, nice breakfast, comfortable bed, close to airport without a lot of airport noise. Room had all the amenities needed and was very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Free shuttle pickup from Detroit airport to the Holiday Inn Express Romulus Detroit Metro Airport 7680 Merriman Rd I arrived after 2am Wednesday morning I was tired Sequita was professional and patience. Room was clean, bathroom clean, bed was comfortable. Free breakfast checkout 11am. Simon was busy doing his job Wednesday morning keep the front area clean and thanks to Gloria checking out went smooth

Staff super friendly. Nice & clean. I've been staying here for the past several years while traveling and find it super easy & fast. Love that they have a shuttle to the airport and you can park. I'll be back!

Conveniently located near the airport with a free shuttle to and from. Large, clean rooms, and a great Bistro within walking distance. The young lady that checked us in was amazing (I don't know her name but she had a beautiful beaded bracelet). Highly recommend!
