We were desperate to find a room due to a power outage that lasted for days. We were finally able to find a room here. Check in was supposed to be at 3. I arrived on time to be met with a rude response when the room was not ready. After 2 hours of checking back I was finally able to find a manager who said he would get us back within 10 minutes. The lady at the front desk attitude changed when the manager walked up. While waiting I heard the woman ahead of me saying that she paid $79.99 for her one night stay. My total for the same exact room was almost $200.00!! The pool was filthy and there were no towels 3 different times. I would never rent a room from there again!! They knew people had nowhere to go with heat and took advantage of that fact.

Location was exceptional for my needs which made my stay enjoyable as well as their daily breakfast choices. My king size Jacuzzi suite, however, was a hot mess. My Jacuzzi room was not worth the $ spent due to multiple problems: 1. Jacuzzi was temperamental working one time but not the next. I had to get front desk clerk to troubleshoot twice. 2. Toilet was sooooo slugish that I had to keep the handle down to complete a flush. 3. Shower was essentially unusable. H20 pressure was non existent with inconsistent spurts. Wasn't even enough pressure to wash my hair. 5. The edge of bed was hard edged but ok once I got in. Size of the room was adequate with nice workable desk space & outlets.

I was a little hesitant when looking at the negative reviews here. But, I booked here because I knew the area and it was right down the street from where I would be working for the weekend. I just needed to rest my head when done working and this place was amazing. I did not get names, but the two girls that checked me in were delightful. The room was exceptionally clean and quiet. The large walk-in shower with actual hot water was much appreciated after sweating and getting dirty all day. The small one-cup coffee maker actually made a decent cup of coffee and the breakfast was spot on to start another day of sweating and getting dirty all over. Next time will have to remember the swimsuit to check out the pool. This will be my go-to motel when I have to come down again. Thank you for not disappointing.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Livonia Best Western. The best part was the great customer service experience. Dominic was exceptional, great personality, great customer service skills and helped assist with all our concerns. Upon arrival entering room 201 there were a few complaints and we were switched to room 233 with no problem we actually added on another night to the stay. The breakfast was a full complete continental breakfast with meat choices of turkey and pork, cereal varieties, wonderful delicious cakes, bagel, danishes, hash browns, eggs with and without cheese, plus fresh fruit, and many drinks choices. Yes breakfast was a big decision maker for the extra day😁. Our hotel stay was nice and comfy. Next time we stay we will utilize the clean indoor pool. I definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you very much to all the hotel staff and a special Thank you to Dominic.🤗

I would NEVER stay here again and would highly recommend that you find another place to stay. First off, the ladies behind the desk were very nice and helpful both on night shift and day shift. Thats the only positive that can be said of my stay. My toilet broke during my stay. I called the front desk and they explained that they do not have a plunger or maintenance on staff so they wanted to move me directly across the hall. This wasn't a very good option for me since we decided to shorten our stay due to the uncleanliness and overall dissatisfaction of our stay. Since we were checking out in the am, the front desk agreed to allow me just use the bathroom across the hall in order to give me a working toilet. This decision was made because it was late, we had been out all day and the last thing that I wanted to do was pack up and move across the hall and then do it all over again the following am. Upon arriving home to Arizona, I noticed that there was an unauthorized additional charge on my credit card. Although the associate at night allowed me to stay in my current room but at the same time use the room across the hall for its bathroom, the GM overrode this decision and charged me for another nights stay. The GM said that what I did was "illegal". Illegal ??? How so ?? The room that I paid for had a backed up toilet - not my fault. You also had no plunger(pretty basic need), no maintenance staff to fix it and the room could not be used until the toilet got fixed. You had the opportunity to explain all of this while I was there but chose to steal from me after I left town and had no way to explain or defend myself. Maybe you should educate and train your staff about what they can and can't do before you make unauthorized charges on my credit card. You haven't heard the last of me.....

Nice hotel. The tub was huge. I'd book a room there again just for the tub. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast but they had dairy free milk options which I can't say I've seen anywhere else. The staff was friendly and efficient. However they do put a $100 security hold on your credit card at check in for all guests regardless of payment type. So if you have a free room you will still have to provide the security fee.

By far the worst hotel stay I've EVER experienced. I was billed for 2 rooms, and when I made them aware, they were only willing to "partially" reimburse for the error. The Staff was less then helpfull. The room was dirty, and management was poor. My company will avoid doing business with Best Western, and would suggest that others avoid the hassle and filth.

I complained about the noise level from the meeting room, I was told I can spend my 2 weeks a year at another hotel. I'll start staying at the Marriott across the street. I'd like to thank the desk clerk for helping me make this decision.

We came up to visit my father-in-law and decided to stay here. When I walked in, I was greeted with a smile. I note this because we have stayed in a few hotels recently and that hasn't always happened. Nia and Shauna were great! Everytime we walked by, they said hello and smiled. I didn't catch he young lady's name in the morning but she was also smiling and greeting everyone. It was such a nice change from what we have experienced at other hotels. As for the room...it was good. All the linens were nice and soft. The bed was comfortable and clean. The room did have a slight, musty odor to it but it wasn't anything overpowering. I think the room does need to be updated. The dark colors make it feel sorta drab. The stairwell closest to our room was dirty and the carpet was a bit matted down. It looked like it needed to be replaced. The breakfast was good and had lots of options. There were eggs, cheese omelettes, sausage (regular & turkey), pancakes, fruit, cereal, etc. The fitness center was nice but could have used something to spray the machines off when I was done using them. The pool looked good but we didn't use it at all. Overall, it was a good hotel and I would stay here again.

1st assigned room had preschool sized size toilet not good for seniors. Gave us different room that was lovely. Hallway carpet has lots of stains at room entrances. Quiet. Wonderful bed. Staff was great! Turn GPS on as entrance is off side street not 6 Mile Road. Great area for shopping, Ward church at corner of Haggerty/6 Mile.

To add to my previous review. After not receiving a call back from the GM of this hotel. The supervisor informs me they are sorry for not responding and there is nothing I they can do for me. After spending 240 for a non working hot tub and waiting a month to hear back from someone, There is nothing they can do and blamed me and the front desk attendant for not knowing how to use a hot tub jets. I know how to work hot tubs and Why wouldnt the attendant know how to use your best room ? Please make this make sense no refunds no other rooms offers nothing to help with this.

Pretty nice and clean hotel 🏨 in Detroit Livonia area. Bathroom 🚽 was tiny but clean 🧼 I booked 2 rooms with double beds 🛌 Both were pretty decent Microwave, mini fridge and coffee ☕️ maker was available Breakfast could be better though specially when it comes to filling they were not very good about it Front desk Staff definitely need some training on how to be more professional, efficient, welcoming and friendly. Indoor swimming Pool 🏊‍♀️ should be cleaned daily but it didn’t. Overall very good experience! if the price is right, we’ll stay here again.

Both Breea and Shay were outstanding! I was in town for business and I stayed here for 2 weeks. They went above and beyond in assisting and helping me in any of my needs and concerns. I had some issues regarding the AC in my room and they made sure it was handled and got moved to a different room. They were quick and responsive with my issue, 10/10 some of the best employees ever! I can say with full certainty I would definitely come back to this place again!

I was moved to a (better) room with a jacuzzi in the bathroom. I was impressed. But to get in and out you would need to be 6'5 for much longer legs. Thats a huge law suit waiting to happen. The BED was absolutely outdated and uncomfortable and it sits too close to the floor. Low budget hotels still have spring mattresses. This one did. The room was large but no bench for my huge luggage bag.

Front desk staff was friendly, common areas clean and smell nice. Pool looked clean, our room was very clean and comfortable, beds were comfortable too. Looked under the sheet at the mattress was honestly cleanest hotel I’ve seen in a really long time. Already looking to stay here again.

Make sure to request a non smoking room if you don't smoke. Every day our room cards were disabled and we had to go to the front desk to get back in. Breakfast was free but pretty basic. Room was clean with good mattress and linens. Staff courteous.

I am not normally one to complain about a hotel or about anything. Everything seemed nice there and the desk staff was friendly. I stayed in room 244 and I did my normal hotel room sweep. Which mostly includes checking the corners of the bed. All four corners had brown spots on them but I had concluded that it was probably a spill or something of that nature. But the next day i realized my neck became very itchy and I had clusters of red bumps on them. I have been in places with bed bugs before , and this is the reaction i get when i am around them. I’m just letting people know so that they check. My family stayed in a separate room across the hall and had no problem. I called the hotel about it and they said they were going to put me on hold and transferred my call to another line with a full mailbox.

Well, anytime you observe someone stating their toilet won’t flush just as you are checking in, it doesn’t make for an easy transition. I had attended a class reunion and decided rather than drive, I will stay close to the venue and in the past, BW was always a clean updated hotel for the most part. Sadly, the pillows were so lumpy and the bed was uncomfortable, and I slept horribly. Pretty sure they need to fill each tub with Clorox and let them soak to remove all the excess build up of soap and body oil from them in order to have them squeaky clean. I hadn’t yet taken a shower and thought I may need one, when I woke up with the worst neck pain from the pillows. I passed on the shower… I went to have breakfast and another person and myself began sneezing. An employee joked and said there is something in the air… I immediately looked up to see where the vents were and low and behold there was a pretty decent size round portion of black mold about 8 Ft away. It was around the size of two softballs, so I gathered my food and took it to my room. Breakfast sausage could have been cooked longer… They were grey and that alone was scary. Just sayin, I should’ve thought twice about staying here last night… You live and learn… i should have trusted my gut and cancelled the reservation.

Dominic is amazing at the front desk. Very welcoming and ready to go above and beyond to improve the guest experience. Rooms are clean and have everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Chrissy in housekeeping keeps the rooms at tip top shape and is also ready to help when you need anything. The pool is clean and felt amazing after a long work day. We would definitely recommend this location to anyone staying in the Livonia area. Thank you Namaan and staff for an enjoyable stay!!!

The room was quite clean, the chair with the foot stool was kinda questionable tho. Breakfast was decent. The front desk was kinda off, maybe it was a rough weekend. But me and my hubby enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

This place is good, but would have a bit better for the price. The breakfast was good though there are limited items. The rooms are clean and no distracted smell. All areas are clean and quiet.

For me your stay begins the min you walk in. Therefore, front desk staff should be friendly and professional. Melissa or Nelissa was rude and had a bad attitude. The hotel needs to be updated but my room was comfy. I slept great. The tub had some texture issues but that’s it.

When we checked in, the carpet in the room was wet and smelled like perfume like they had sprayed the carpet with something. The closet door was hanging of the track and the metal lock on the door was gone. There was dirt on the wall and the chair smelled like puke. They said they didn't have another room to move us to and when we called other hotels in the area they were booked. The next morning when we went to breakfast there was nothing. They said the girl who does it overslept and there was no one else who could do it (unacceptable). Will not stay again or recommend.

Great location and great room for the price! A little better deep cleaning, light switches, corners, under desk, behind things, STAIRS AND HALLWAY etc.. would go along way in this place. Breakfast/coffee has been decent. Only thing I would change is the silverware should all be stored handles up, utensil piece down-not layed flat, so everyone touches them (ewww) and labeled so ppl know what they are grabbing. And TVs should ALWAYS be turned on in the morning in the breakfast area. People want to watch the morning news!! That being said, well worth the value, We will stay here again!

Upon entering this hotel, I already knew I had made a terrible mistake in booking there. I had missed the cancellation window by 10 minutes, only due to an extremely long check in line/slow check in process. It's a red flag when the hotel's lobby/lobby bathroom are filthy but we figured after our 5 hours driving, it would be good enough. When we got to our room, we were hit with a powerful bleach smell, think less clean-more humid pool area stench. After a short time, the bleach smell faded and was replaced with a straight up dank aquarium smell that made us gag and was definitely due to an underlying mold issue. We were only staying here because our son needed surgery in Livonia and figured it would be satisfactory enough for him to rest/recover. Unfortunately, the staff uses a spare activity room to blast music with full bass before 8 AM and it was conveniently located right below us. Both days, we woke up this way. It felt pointless to complain about the filth because the whole hotel had that level of cleanliness and a room change after surgery wasn't something we wanted to put our son through. We also couldn't complain about the sleep disturbance because it was the actual staff causing it. On our way home, I called the Best Western customer service number and after speaking to the manager of that hotel's location, we were offered just $20 off of our two day stay. That didn't even cover the taxes so I figured I would leave a Karen review amongst many of the other negative reviews (that I shouldn't have overlooked myself!) Steer clear, unless you want to experience smells of the ocean, in suburban Michigan.

Took a chance at this location because of the proximity to the event we were attending and the decent reviews. Big mistake! The rooms were run down and just felt dirty. As we were leaving for our event, I mentioned the garbage can being full upon arrival and they offered to give a new room. The second room felt just as dirty, this time the bathtub had a long blue stain on it, that would not rinse off. Later, my daughter put her head on the pillow and found a nat or flea on the pillow next to her head. The bug on the pillow was the last straw for us, I spoke to the front desk and didn’t have confidence in any other room being better, so we went to another hotel for the night. The front desk told me to call a couple days later in order to request a refund. I was told after speaking to someone they would get back to me within 5 days with a response and never heard back, no refund. Horrible experience! Please don’t make same mistake. Had to drive about 20 minutes at 11pm with my kids to a Hampton inn that was much cleaner and same price.
