Will never go anywhere else for our aquarium needs. Every time we go we spend an hour or more because every single person there loves to teach and share knowledge about fish. So many beautiful fish. They tell us what we can put together and what we can’t and help us troubleshoot when we have problems. They want everyone to succeed and they put in the labor to make it happen. Cannot possibly say enough good things - and their fish are also very good!

Incredible selection of fish. More freshwater fish than salt, but if you're looking for a particular species just inquire. They may be able to order it.

My daughter and I LOVE going to Fantastic Fins. The guys here know their stuff and have a huge variety of fresh water fish. Dave is always so good to us when. We swing by on Sundays just to browse. We avoid the commercial places and support these places that truly care about the animals in their care.

The only place to shop if you are a freshwater freak. Best pleco selection in the state that i have seen. Have been a customer for years. Dale is the man. Cares about you, your fish, and never oversells you on fish, medicine, or chemicals. If you haven't been here give it a try and I'm sure you will be back.

I drive from WhitmoreLake to Fantastic Fins to get what I need, prices aren't bad and the fish selection alone adds to trip of going. I've been going here for about 7 years now, and never had any bad experiences. The people here know what there doing and I always see water changes happening, so that alone shows they know what they're doing.

Such a knowledgeable and helpful guy. I was incredibly happy to see how well all of his fish looked. He has a lot of harder to find fish I was looking for. I drove 45 minutes for this store and was not disappointed.

The guy never welcomed us or asked if we needed any help mind you we were the only people in the store the whole time. We seen a couple dead fish especially a big fish that was laying in the tank taking it's lasts air gasps. My wife called him to see what kind of cichlids he had and what the price was for them and he said oh that would mean I have to go to the other side of the store what a great customer service. We love mom and pop stores but when you don't show you care don't be in the business. Also the store is not clean at all...

Large selection of fresh-water fish, love it! I spoke to a gentleman there for almost an hour. He helped me understand which fish to put with other fish in a single tank. I just bought a new home and want to add a tank. I'll be going back soon.

Owner helped me to understand tank cycling my first go three months ago. They have tons of specialty fish. Dude always lets me know when hes getting shipments, always kind and on point. Best fish store in a 50 mile radius hands down. Been to the others so id know

The guy who owns the store is really nice and he knows alot about fish tanks and the fish we actually stayed for a while and talked to him he had what we need and his prices are not bad

recently purchased 6 cardinal tetras, two bandit cory catfish, 5 blue shrimp and 5 red shrimp from here and this store is a hidden gem. the staff here treats all the fish very well, and genuinely cares about their treatment after being sold. the fish i brought home were clearly happy and well kept at the store, no disease being transferred to the neon tetras already in my tank. they adjusted to their new home very quickly and with no issues. any freshwater aquarium keeper in the area should give this little shop a look!

It's not often that a pet store impresses me but they did. Very knowledgeable and made you feel welcome rather that just seeing people as dollar signs. I can see why my daughter loves this place so much!

Awesome, well-kept store :) This is seriously the best fish store. You'll never see a dead fish in any tank. He also has a really unique variety of fish that are so pretty. It's not often you find healthy, unique, freshwater fish. He also has sooo many rare plecos that I've never seen before!

This is my go-to fish shop and I have tried many places. Dale is knowledgeable and has offered valuable advice when I needed help perking my black moor up. Always a great selection and the kids love visiting to see what he will have in stock each time.

My families go-to destination for fish and aquatic life - thats all they do! The owner is incredibly passionate about every living creature in his shop and treats them more like his own pets rather than inventory on a shelf.

Would rate 0 if i could. We just left. Terrible customer service, walked in was not greeted at all. Walked throughout the DIRTY store and wa sever asked oh looking for anything specific oh let me know if you guys need help with anything. Not to mention there was a big fish dying and most of the tanks in there were with yellow tinge. Worst service and not so good looking place

Well I'm not sure what to say other than I went there twice in the last two days and they weren't open. First on Sunday just after 12:00. Not open. Sign on the door indicates they should have been open. Gave em a second try Monday around 4:15, again sign says they're supposed to be open but weren't. No sign saying sorry closed for vacation or anything. Call the store and got nothing not even an answering machine. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I came here since a kid. I bought baby piranhas from here and raised them to 10 inches. I was gonna put them in Newburgh lake when I had to move but the owner insisted to give them to him. He ended up breeding them. They have good fish sense-stock of inventory that's cool to look at or more.

Great experience, very helpful in selecting fish and making sure we were given the knowledge to help us suceed. Would definetly recommend, tanks seemed well taken care of.

I have kept fish for years, and recently took my 14 year old sister here to look at Bettas, and to see what other small tank options they might have, for her first tank. The place was horrifying. Cluttered and had a definite off or wrong aquarium smell. Not to mention, their Bettas has clearly not had their water changed for quite some time and were floating in their own sludge(more than just a couple pieces of poo, which would not have phased me, this was legitimately fish sludge and dirtywater resulting from neglect) and thoroughly unhealthy looking(clamped fins, fin texture problems, cloudy eyes, unresponsive, pretty much ran the while horror show gamut. We got out of there as fast as we could, and I had to comfort my crying sister when we got back to the car. I would not recommend this nightmare place.

First time visit to this store. The owner was kind and personable. I went in looking for some fun schooling fish. He said he was getting a shipment in later today... I could have come back but the Emerald Eye Rasboras caught me eye (pun intended). I will be coming back for more to add to my 30 gallon.

Wow what a great store I couldn’t say enough good things about it, from the time I came in the door the guy behind the counter was so helpful and nice and very knowledgeable with his L number plecos and everything else, it was my first time coming to the store as I live an hour away and just happened to be in the area, I can’t wait to come back and spend more money the selection was awesome and the prices were perfect not over priced at all everything was just right, they guy who helped me only works once a week now but hopefully next time I come he’s there because man was he helpful and very patient which is such a bonus because I’m extremely Indecisive, I left happy and with some super cool new fish

From the intelligence of the owner and staff in every aspect of this beautiful hobby of mine , I would highly recommend a visit to this establishment. I look forward to them growing as a business and possibly bringing in Saltwater and corals into their already wide array of specimen in the freshwater domain. Love love this place. They took in my angel fish which was awesome. I do wish they have more algae eaters and better betta tanks but they're an amazing place with super healthy fish. This is the place to go :)

Dale is a very knowledgeable person. I wouldn't shop for my freshwater fish or supplies anywhere else. He is always willing to help. He kept my angel fish 🐟 for over 2 weeks when my tank was down. They were in good hands. Thanks to everyone at Fantastic Fins for taking good care of us!!!

Dale is the nicest :) always willing to listen and help out, has amazing freshwater stock, and got me deep into my love of fishkeeping by his advice. I make dedicated trips out to see him and have friends who drive from Flint just to shop there. I've made a day of going to different fish stores and most of them aren't even close to comparable in both quality and price, not to mention how hardy the fish are. My go to place for real. And, he is able to get a wide variety of stock in!

Such a great place with beautiful fish!

Spent almost $100 on fish and every single one of them died within a week. I called to get them replaced and they blamed it on my water and said I need to take all the dead fish in and a water sample. My fish tank has been healthy for years and all of my fish from other stores are alive and healthy. Poor quality fish.

The staff was friendly, but the setup was iffy. They fish are crowded among other things. For example, the Khuli loaches were in an almost empty tank with no where to hide and almost no sand to burrow.

I am pretty kind when it comes to giving reviews, but this place was just too messy and many tanks were filthy. The sign was hanging off in the building and it just looked horrible from the outside. The customer service was fine. But there was one tank where the water was very brown from tannins in the driftwood placed in it. Also, all the Bettas were housed in poor conditions. They were in tiny bowls (which I know most Bettas are kept like that) and the bowls had poop all over the bottom. Ammonia can build up really quick in such a small amount of water! Not a fun time for those poor Bettas. Also, things were just strewn about the place and it was just overall very dirty and messy. Maybe I just came at a bad time? Oh also, they need to do something about the temperature in this building. It was VERY hot in there. They should get fans or invest in some better air conditioning.

Great fish store for Nano fish and Plecos. Lots of other fish and plants also, but their selection for those two are the best.
