Me and my wife stopped here for lunch, I had the double cooked belly pork and it was probably the best I've ever had, my partner had the steak and chips which were also delicious. Nice selection of ciders too.

Great little place. Friendly service and amazing food. The best sticky toffee pudding I think I've ever had, personally I'll happily visit just for that. But the rest of the food is fab too, and the beer garden is lovely.

This is a lovely cosy local pub. A warm welcome to all, the home cooked food is excellent and great beer selection. Beer garden a great little sun trap in the afternoon! Every meal I have had has been excellent but the sunday roast beef and burgers are particularly brilliant

What a cracking find. Exceptionally clean, rooms are luxurious and contemporary, with amazing bathrooms. The food was first class, with friendly service, reasonably priced. The owners are such lovely people, too, we will be going back.

A fab find! Stayed here for the weekend while attending a wedding and it was perfect! The owners went above and beyond - the rooms were huge and more than comfortable and to top it off, the food was pretty fabulous also! Don't look anywhere else if you are ever in Wincanton.

Food is always great along with staff. It's somewhat small inside but doesn't feel cramped, more so cosy and homely. Haven't stayed in their rooms so can't say much about that. Much preferred to any other local pub to eat, especially wagtail.

Beautiful, clean & spacious rooms where they really did think of everything. Stunning full English breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff who assisted us with our early arrival, & taxi to the race course. The kitchen was shut on Sunday evening but we were informed early on that we could bring takeaways in. Restaurant is open the rest of the week. A really enjoyable & comfortable stay.

Lovely little place to pop in for a quick drink and some nachos. Staff are always really lovely and I've enjoyed chatting with them when I've been in before. Nice little garden area out the back as well

I would love to have tried it. Couldn't get past the young gatekeeper who needed some training in communication, problem solving and customer service. Attempts at booking resulted in inexperienced staff making no attempt to be proactive, instead offering short staffing excuses and zero apologies. If you get in you might be fine, but sometimes this kind of cliched rural pub careless (as I experienced) is just tedious.

The food at the Nog Inn was absolutely delicious. Lamb rump, pork belly, mac & cheese: everything we tried was outstanding. With friendly service to top it off.

Best pub I've been in as a visitor for ages. Cracking food, nice setting, fab beef selection, good service. A gem. (Pub/ food trade- did not stay)

A perfect proper pub run by a real landlord/husband and wife team! We were looking for accommodation to visit The Newt (12 mins drive away). The Nog is right in the centre of Wincanton with a small carpark opposite. The room was big, bright and airey, beautifully renovated with a huge modern walk-in shower. Great bed, linen, toiletries, tea and biscuits. It ticked all the boxes. I just wish we had stayed there for dinner rather than travelling to Bruton as the food looked great.

We visited this pub while on our weekend away at Rockys Retreat, Somerset. A lovely little pub. The food was lovely & the staff were amazing, well worth a visit. I'd recommend booking as it's only a small village pub. Thanks

😐 Not a great place for takeaway food, certainly not as advertised. My partand I ordered 1 portion of chips (£2) to go, it was fairly quiet there, we ordered and waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. 15 minutes pass and still nothing. Then we are presented with quite a big box, we were chuffed....
