Review is just about the coworking space. Experience was very meh. Pro's: The building and ambiance is amazing - beautiful, unique, historic, integration of green and indoor space. The owner is extremely nice and accommodating. I went because they are listed a Proximity co-working space partner. Turns our they are not, but the owner was understanding about the confusion and let me work there for the day. Con's: Front desk staff was very unwelcoming, and looked me up and down several times. The vibe of the space does not actually feel communal, which is what co-working spaces should be fostering. Also, the wifi dropped every 10 minutes for the duration of time I worked there.

Not a great place to hold a startup week event if the founder is inconsiderate around the idea of having microphones and speakers. Asked the staff if they would be willing to turn off a fountain so we could hear better and the founder said he didn’t want the fountain turned off. Even for just an hour, though the startup event is based around being a growing CEO. True lesson on limiting your growth by not listening to people’s requests.

The most unusual co-working space I've seen. Gourmet lunch in the beautiful garden next to water features with bee friendly wild flowers and "only in Boulder" conversations. Thank you Dustin!

The building is an architectural gem and location is fantastic. Unfortunately, the atmosphere and ambiance is too dated for my tastes, perhaps because both are geared towards a significantly older clientele. Parking might be an issue too due to limited options in the area so try to get there via a form of transportation other than your vehicle.

Update: One of the things that makes coworking spaces so special is the people. Sadly, after offering 50% off tickets for an event to every coworking space in Boulder, the lady behind the desk at Highland was extremely rude. I only ask if the space has people/companies in tech and offer the code if their tenants might be interested. Luckily, the rude woman passed me on to Jonathan who was very friendly who gladly accepted. I hope she treats tenants with more respect than random smiling faces walking through the door like me. _____________ 5/30/19 Since my review I have spent more time in the Highland City Club through Boulder Startup week. It has been a great place to attend events and work in their beautiful out spaces. I very much appreciate the response from the business knowing that the rude individual who I interacted with is gone. This review I believe is still 1/3 negative reviews I've given. A pleasant surprise to see the response from the Club. Bravo!

Beautiful building and gardens. A sense of community. Wonderful food and learning programs. Deeply passionate, caring, and effective leadership and management. Friendly and competent staff. Over the course of my career I've worked at several co-working spaces, including another in Boulder, and none have come close to here. I feel fortunate to have found such a work home in Boulder.

I am incredibly grateful to be a part of the Highland City club. It is a place of true sophistication and is run by some incredible people. It also continues to evolve and progress along with the community that surrounds it. Bravo!

This hidden jewel of Boulder is the most unique place! It boasts the best of what country clubs offer without the sports, for its social members. Gardens from a different era, beautiful buildings, healthy, sumptuous food and incredible companionship. It also offers gorgeous co working and office space for its business members. Recommended.
