I recently moved and started having some vision issues—as someone with history and high risk of eye problems I wanted to get it checked out quickly. When I called 3rd Avenue Eye Care, they said they could get me in the same day, even as a new patient. I have never had such a caring and detail-oriented eye doctor before now! Dr. Hughes spent a lot of time trying to figure out what could be wrong even though the appointment was very last minute. All of the staff were amazing and very nice as well :) I highly recommend 3rd Avenue Eye Care either for routine check ups or eye emergencies.

Zero complaints about my eye exam. Punctual, professional, friendly. However I would not recommend their optical service. After informing me that I could not order frames+lenses until about a week after my eye exam for insurance reasons, they completely forgot about my order. My calls were unanswered, my messages unreturned. They forgot about my order. Their proposed solution was to act late, that's it. Doesn't feel like they care about getting glasses for their clients in a timely fashion. I would recommend their exam service, I will not return to their optical service. Very disappointing.

I rarely write reviews, but am making an exception here as I want to commend Dr. Holly Hughes for another well done annual eye exam. As someone who was myopic at an early age and then had cataract surgery a decade+ ago in my late 40's, I've had a bazillion eye exams over the years. Plus my family says this Engineer/Computer "nerd" should have been an eye doctor as I actually do (layman!) eye exams on them - complete with eye chart and pinhole occluder! ;-) All of that is to say that while I am absolutely NOT an eye doctor, I have some experience and understanding of "eyeballs" ... so I really appreciate the thorough job that Dr. Hughes does and her willingness to put up with all my nerdy questions. The 200+ overwhelmingly positive reviews of Third Avenue EyeCare echo my experience. They were recommended a few years ago by my wife's work colleague, so I'll add mine here - check 'em out! ;-)

I cannot say enough positive things about Third Avenue Eyecare! I have bad vision and it took months to find contact lenses that fit due to the nature of my eyes, but Dr. Jordan and Dr. Holly stuck with me every step of the way and worked so hard to help me find the right lenses. I have seen many eye doctors through my whole life and I can confidently say this is the best practice I've ever been to.

Dr. Hughes is outstanding, thorough and knowledgeable. He found my cataracts and scheduled me for surgery. The optician is the best. She takes the time to really help you find what looks good and she is patient and knowledgeable as well. Thank you for the great care.

My family has had, and continues to have, a great experience at Third Ave Eyecare. My wife and I have been patiences for over 5 years, and most recently we take our 1 and 3 year olds. Both Dr. Hughes’ are amazing. They take their time, and are very thorough. I’ve got several pairs of sunglasses and glasses from the practice as well. They have a great selection and the opticians are wonderful to work with. All around, they have you covered!

Our whole family has been seeing both Dr. Jordan and Dr. Holly for several years. They are knowledgeable, professional, and thorough with their exams. The opticians are very helpful and patient when choosing glasses which isn't always easy with kids. If you have an older child or teen wanting to try contact lenses, I highly recommend Third Avenue Eyecare for that as well. My child's transition to contacts was smooth and empowering for him at young age.

Yesterday was the first time in 25 years that I went to a private eyecare facility. I was very impressed with all the staff and Dr. Jordan. I knew that I had a vision problem and with their thoroughness and care Dr. Jordan found the problem (wrong prescription in all my glasses) and also alerted me another possibility of glaucoma which I wasn't aware of. The girls in the optical department were awesome. I found some really funky frames to fit my personality and I can't wait to get them. I encourage all if you need vision care go to Third Avenue Eyecare. They are awesome
