We had waited since March to rearrange a night out that the venue had cancelled last minute. Our visit was not the lovely night out we had hoped for. Despite being at the restaurant early our food order was one of the last to be taken. The starters were fine, but the main courses were far from it. The beef stew and dumplings was mainly swede and had little or no beef content. The tiny half-dumpling was more like a rock cake and it was obvious that the small portion had been in the ramekin for many hours as it wouldn't pour onto the plate. Two of my companions had ordered pasta which initially came out cold. The garlic bread it was served with was stale. When they sent it back they were brought a plate of pasta and sun-dried tomatoes absolutely swimming in oil. It made them feel ill. Despite assurances that they would receive a phone call as the manager had gone home, this hasn't happened. I can't believe we paid £27 a head for that. To be honest I have eaten better school dinners. The portion sizes were meagre and the quality was atrocious. I for one will not go again.

Great night out, friendly staff. Won a few quid as well so bonus. Food wasn't the best but it was a great value night out. Drinks prices were ridiculous for the event and as the food wasn't amazing, we were shocked at wine being £20 a bottle. We will visit again but do the pie and pint deal which is much better value.

Lovely evening with the kids, my only negatives if the track wants to encourage families and the next generation of fans is a smoking free area is a must as large groups of adults smoking everywhere

Always a good charity night for our charity. My family and I have a great evening. Always a squabble for chairs never enough on charity night. Food is good, though my curry sauce is a bit watery this time. Service for food is very slow. Var service good though I was sold a terrible non ahcolholic beer this time. It's more like a bitter style. It's not very nice. Didn't drink it. Took it back to the bar, though . Explained, "I didn't like it and got a discount on my orange juice and lemonade." Always an excellent night enjoyed throughly by my family.

Stood there for 30min in the queue just to find out that they don't accept debit cards (first place in the UK I think in the 21st century). Besides I was told off by the guards that I can't record anything and I have to delete the video- despite it's broadcast on TV (there was no sign informing about this). The racing itself was great
