This
was
our
first
tasting
menu
experience.
The
setting
itself,
the
restaurant
looks
nicer
from
outside
than
inside,
the
tables
for
2
are
too
small,
once
they
put
your
drinks
printed
menus,
food
etc
it's
awfully
crowded.
The
food
itself
was
good...
I
can't
say
I
had
one
course
that
was
mind
blowing
and
there
were
a
couple
which
were
sub
par.
Based
on
just
this
I
probably
would
have
given
it
a
4
out
of
5
stars
however
the
main
reason
we
felt
it
was
a
bad
experience
is
it
is
just
far
too
overpriced.
The
experience
doesn't
match
the
price
tag,
what
also
was
a
big
shock
was
we
had
one
regular
tasting
menu
(£75)
and
one
vegetarian
one
which
cost
£95!
£20
extra
which
substituted
fish
and
muscles
for
half
a
carrot
(not
exaggerating)
and
lamb
3
ways
for
I
think
celeriac
or
fennel
but
again
much
smaller
portions.
Weirdly
the
dessert
was
a
fairly
big
fish
in
comparison
but
we
did
leave
hungry
which
surprised
me.
It
could
be
that
tasting
menus
aren't
for
us
but
I
don't
think
that's
the
issue,
the
dishes
just
weren't
either
enough,
not
the
wow
factor
or
the
meat/main
ingredient
just
wasn't
that
good.
Sadly
for
the
price
of
a
lunch
tasting
menu
I'd
probably
recommend,
paying
for
a
train
to
London
and
finding
a
better
experience
for
the
same
price
travel
included.
Apart
from
the
lingering
waiting
staff
everyone
was
very
polite
and
service
was
delivered
well.
I
just
think
the
price
of
£75
is
probably
just
a
little
high
and
£95
is
just
taking
the
p****!
