Very reasonable prices, decent condition and comfy seats, hoodlum levels were fairly good too. The space has a nice atmosphere with great lighting and big windows, bathroom is clean. Overall a good experience and it was very convenient to just flash my phone to get in. Will be back

Vue Islington is conveniently nestled in the heart of the Angel mall, making it a practical choice after a day of shopping and dining. With a diverse selection of movies catering to various tastes, it offers a well-rounded cinematic experience. While the popcorn is delicious, it's worth noting that the prices are on the higher side. Overall, it serves as a fitting finale to a day out.

Things need to change at the entrance and overall experience here. + Screens are fine. - The user experience and queues of getting tickets / ordering tickets merged with buying food is ridiculous. Needs sorting - Only 3 automated ticket collect machines?! - A queue 30 people long to just check tickets and go to screens - The general area upstairs area needs completely redoing for a better layout. Wasted space?! - Toilet were a disgrace. Almost all sinks blocked. Most of toilets blocked. Come on Vue. This needs to be all sorted.

The lights were too bright, even though staff came to check the screen twice it really ruined the movie experience having bright light shining on top of your head. The sound quality is also not great and too low, will not go back here if I want a good experience.

The lights were not switched off due to "safety/hazard" reasons, which made the film unbearable to watch. I couldn't see any of the "dark" scenes. What's the point of watching a movie, when the lights are on... I should've just waited till the movie went on Disney+. When did movie theatres, have dimmed lights on??!?!?!?

Poor guest experience, good prices for films. Unfortunately, not worth taking a chance again. Recommend going to the Odeon luxe up the road. Bit more expensive but much better hospitality.

Okay screens and seats however this cinema needs better security. People used their phones and talked all the way through the film. Despite me asking staff to help as they were intimidating, nothing was done. Moved seats to quieter spot but other people were on phones too. People joined the showing part way through the film which is distracting but also indicates they’re screen hopping. Young children were in the Barbie film which surprised me as it’s a 12a. There was litter on the floor and it felt unclean. Not the first time I’ve been when there has been an issue with disruptive audience and grim toilets. Dirty toilets, no toilet paper. I wouldn’t recommend this Vue, won’t ever go again.

I been there and watched a Bollywood movie overall sound quality 4.5/5. Screen size disappointed me because it was not full screen so 4/5. Good part was their popcorn and nachos very nice. And the worse part it cleanliness. Seats are dirty not even cleaned after previous shows. Ice cream cups chocolate wrapping tissue was still left 2/5.

I am a regular to this cinema. Theme cinema screens are great with a good selection of films. Sadly the majority of staff seem under trained/no interest in the role. On this visit there was one lady who was speedy with lovely customer service. Everyone else sadly not.

Great managers at this venue, we had a mix up with our tickets where they combined two screens into one, so other guests were sitting in our seats. We spoke to the first manager she’s a blonde but I didn’t get her name unfortunately but she handled the situation so perfectly. She then escalated us to another manager where they gave us a full refund on our snacks and tickets and also gave us a voucher to book a future film for free! I loved their professionalism, definitely coming back!

I love going to the cinema, I dreaded this one. We got a load of pop corn and stuff, The normal coke machine was out of syrup so we chose the coke zero one, only to taste it and be disgusting. I think it was a mix of coke, sprite and other stuff.l, probably the worst think I have ever paid for. The cinema room was dirty, seats sticky and the sound and layout was just awful. The worst experience in a cinema in my life.

The vue is very quite. There are many screens. There is no seating space if you wanted to wait. But overall experience is good

Slow service at the desk, not sure if machines accept ecodes. Screens are not aways clean and there is alot of distribution during the film with staff and security coming in constantly. They are very tight on their sauces when you buy nachos which usually means you run out before they even finish. Staff are usually friendly

Great cinema but the toilets are FILTHY. I feel like they’ve become public toilets. Always sh1t up the loos, smell of farts and all the bag hooks broken off. Please limit scummy kids coming in and abusing it! This is NOT the cleaners fault. It’s low class public chavs behaving like animals

Went to see ‘Wonka’ this afternoon expecting a young crowd but it was filled with a mainly senior audience! The ticket price won’t help at £21 a pop for their newly installed recliner chairs no doubt to compete with the ‘Everyman’ and ‘Curzon’ chains that offer a little more ‘Oompha’! The film was uplifting and well made and the cinema comfortable.

Changed all rooms to recliner seat so no more 6£ super saver. Went to see Poor Things and front lights were still on for the whole movie… the new seats are comfy tho

It's quiet and pleasant here. The movie I went to watch was 'Killer of the Flower Moon.' It was a bit too quiet(low volume), and they didn't provide subtitles for the non-English parts. I was expecting an interval during the film, but unfortunately, there wasn't one. Overall, this Vue cinema is nicer but smaller compared to others. The food is decent, and there's less hustle and bustle, which is a positive aspect. Interestingly, there's a club located downstairs from the cinema. You wouldn't realize it until you step out. Additionally, there are food outlets scattered everywhere, although they all close after 10 pm. Give it a try. You might find that you prefer it. xxx

A very convenient cinema, with a good movie selection. Supported by an efficient App to make the booking process/ticket confirmation so straightforward. I only wish the seats were a bit cleaner.

Whilst the leather recliner seats may be an attractive new addition to this cinema, be warned that Cinema 1 had its down lights on for the duration of the movie. Went to see Dune Part Two and may as well have brought a copy of the novel to follow along, that’s how bright it was. Reported to staff who didn’t offer any explanation.

really great place, the recliners are super chill. great place to watch a movie. food is expensive, but that's to be expected! no bag checks for bringing food in when we went :)

A Haunting in Venice saw it the VUE in Islington. First visit to cinema since East to East was a film before finding itself on TV. Seats spacious and comfy Price of admission and sweets etc not too high Most important film good. Had a feeling of the criminal from the get go but that wholly fluked.

Nice upgrade. But no sanitary bins in women's bathrooms. Felt embarrassed and a little degraded :( Also. Reclining seat wasn't working. Doesn't feel worth the extra price for a seat that doesn't work with no warning. Screen 9 seat 21.

Disappointing experience watching Dune 2. Disrespect to the viewers by selling tickets, when there's a big blotch in the center of the screen. ( screen n 1) Also, very bright lighting during the movie. The lamps shone directly into the eyes, greatly disturbing the viewing experience. When we inquired about it, we were told it was emergency lighting, but I've never encountered this in any other cinema. Many dark scenes in the movie were almost invisible due to these ceiling lamps. There were few people without tickets, indicating a lack of theater security. The only thing that was pleasing was the comfortable seats.

Air-conditioned cinema with comfortable seats and good sound. However, I found it impossible to get through to a customer service agent by live chat or telephone for a problem I had when booking online and the prices for pop-corn etc (£6.50 for regular) are in tiny text to the side of all of the tills, meaning you have to ask the staff member (who will try and up-sell you) serving you.

It was OK. But a reclining chair did not work, it was expensive. And others in the cinema were so noisy, literally unwrapping sweets for much of the time. Projection and sound were good.

Love the cheap seats but the toilets were filthy, no roll in one and the other disgustingly blocked. Staff were friendly enough. Very decent for a wallet friendly cinema overall.

The overall hygiene standard of the cinema can definitely be improved. It's not bad but definitely not good enough. Staff seemed nice and helpful.

Great cinema. Very helpful staff who were able to help me find my girlfriend's water bottle even after it has been cleared from the cinema room and thrown away! Honest and hardworking guys, top notch.

What a disgrace to be discriminated in 2022 that a hospital letter was seen as ‘not genuine’ by the general manager at Islington Vue. For someone who has accessibility needs to be denied when they were happy to provide further evidence is disgusting!!! The fact the GM Mauk is not educated on the fact not all disabilities can be seen is a disgrace to the brand. Those with accessibility AVOID THIS BRANCH!

Lots of screens. Seats aren't that comfortable and don't recline. Long queue for the popcorn - staff take their time even when the queue is 10+ deep

I wanted to buy a cheaper ticket online. Unfortunately it did not work. Never mind. I paid more. The worse was it was so cold there. I nearly went to ask them if they could provide a blanket. It was freezing and I was looking forward to the end of the film 🤔 such a shame!

Not so sure, but this might be the hood theater. Thought I was going to a kinda empty venue for $3 cinema day, but by the night screening of Nope, it was packed with a kinda loud, young crowd. Seats are comfortable, concessions are awful in terms of wait time, but almost worth it for Ben & Jerry's flavors we don't have in the States. Definitely not worth it when you're just trying to buy a bottle of water in under 10 minutes before the film starts. Not sure if this is typical in the UK or just this cinema chain, but there were 15 minutes of ads and then 15 minutes of actual film trailers so the movie started a solid 30 minutes after the listed time.

There's a good selection of films at this Vue, all the screens have a 4K digital projector and are fitted with Dolby 5.1. It would do well if it had an IMAX screen too. The facilities are very clean, legroom is generous and staff are very polite and friendly

(this review is 2 months later). It was nice, I went to watch Across the Spiderverse on cinema day and it was a good experience. Order online, it's way cheaper and less waiting. We paid around £11 for 3 people but this was mainly because of the cinema day sale. Sat at the back with a few free seats near us, we brought in food and everyone was quiet. In my experience, they turned the lights off and the strobe effect added to it. I would 100% go again. Keep in mind I got there early, we were the first ones in the cinema and at that time, there was no waiting time. We did have to sit through the 30 minutes of ads though.
