We all had a lovely day. Pre-booked tickets online, at the entrance gate, we got a yearly pass and a wrist band for the day. Castle and grounds were amazing. We visited the castle first, visitors are encouraged to put on their masks whilst indoors. Lovely rooms with lots of history. The staff were very keen to help at all times. Falconry show was the highlight of the day. We attended the 1:30pm show which was just lovely. Maze was a lovely challenge and the grotto on your way out was a lovely surprise. The main restaurant was closed as they had a wedding later that afternoon but there were lots of other cafes on site selling sandwiches and a grill stand close to the maze. As with all other tourist sights snacks were a bit over priced. Please feel free to bring a picnic especially if visiting with kids and teens, there were a lot of picnic spots on the grounds to enjoy your lunch. All in all it was a nice day, will definitely recommend it.

We visited Leeds castle during the week, in February, Wednesday to Friday and stayed at the Stable Courtyard Bed& Breakfast. Perfect time as there weren't many people around and we could explore everywhere - the gardens, the castle, the Falconry, The Dog Collar collection. There are plenty places to have a meal around as well - coffee shop near the mini golf course, the Castle view restaurant, bar/coffee shop next to it and a lunch place that is also next to the restaurant. There are two playgrounds for small and older kids and a mini golf. I recommend to visit the Falconry - the guys there are amazing and they can tell you all about the birds of prey. They take some of them out around 11ish so you can have a closer look 🦅🦉 The castle itself was very nice to explore too. Part of it was under renovation that should be finished by April 2022. So we could not see the library. It is a beautiful place with a rich history and it is amazing that some of the rooms are used even today. I recommend to everyone to visit. We are def going back Spring/Summer time when it is greener ❤️☀️🏰

Lovely day at Leeds Castle today it is beautiful. Went arround the Castle and outside, watched a bird of prey display. The grounds are vast with beautiful lakes there is crazy golf a large play area for children and a large maze. Didn't get to go in the maze as time ran out so much to do for the whole family. Will definitely visit again and again as now I paid entry the ticket last for a yr. Well worth the ticket price. A lovely start to the new year

Fabulous! Very well thought through and kids friendly. In fact kids centred. Dog bone hunt in the castle. Amazing play area. Oh, and the castle and grounds are beautiful, chocolate box ++. Definitely worth the entry fee.

A truly amazing castle, used mostly as villa for holidays. When i visited the main theme was the last private owner, Lady Baillie, since she putted a lot of effort into renovating the castle. I would have enjoyed seeing more about it's ancient history but it's still an amazing place to visit.

Buy tickets for the train ride back to the car park from the shop before you leave (or as soon as you get there)! It would help if the sign telling you that you had to buy tickets in advance for the train was more on the footpath where you walk past to get to the castle rather than right up buy the train stop. You can use your Gardeners World 2 for 1 Garden card here. Lots of room for picnics and very friendly ducks and geese to watch. Wear suitable shoes for walking!

I've been here many times. Every time I went the castle looks different. Handicap services are excellent. A bus will bring you up to the castle if you're not able to walk long distances. Unfortunately my mum couldn't get to the top floor in the castle due to her handicap. They offer a video about the castle as an alternative. My mum was very pleased with that. There are so many things to do. Well worth the money. Make sure you register you're ticket when you buy it. It will give you a chance to come back for free for a whole year.

A beautiful place to visit for a day trip around London especially in summers. Just an hours drive from Kingston. Beautiful castle with lovely gardens and birds. A perfect place of entertainment for an entire family. Getting lost in the garden maze is pretty much of an attraction for all ages

Christmas lights at Leeds Castle it is worth it Ideal for: All ages it is a great way to experience a Christmas lights. Key Info: Book in advance and include your parking ticket otherwise you will not be able to park within the premises of the castle. Pros: - Toilets available - Open pathways - Well organised parking spaces - Well designed lighting systems - Cafes and fast food shops Cons: - Very expensive food - Missing signs and guidance to drive traffic properly outside the castle - Missing signs within the parking area

Great tourist attraction in Kent with lush green lawns, ample free parking space for ticket holders, amazing kids play areas, lovely golf course, specially featured falconry show, interesting castle history, mind boggling maze and many more. A complete package for family entertainment. Tickets validity upto one year reentry is a great advantage for this tourist attraction if you couldn’t cover all in one visit. Please wear comfortable footwear as great exercise to feet awaits in this attraction.

Big castle with great history. It is well maintained and has great territory. Playgrounds are very good. There is trail and castle playground - big and with very good quality. There is a big food court area as well.

Leeds Castle is an absolute gem and a favourite among my family. We have been visiting this stunning castle for two years, which never ceases to amaze us. Every time we go, we discover something new that they have added, and it's always a delightful surprise. The intricate details and historic architecture of the castle are truly awe-inspiring, and we can't help but admire its beauty every time we visit. From the tranquil moat surrounding the castle to the impeccably maintained gardens, every aspect of Leeds Castle exudes a sense of grandeur and charm that is hard to resist. Needless to say, it's a must-visit destination for anyone who loves history, architecture, and natural beauty. I have attached images below for your reference.

A quaint and unusual Castle off the beaten path. This has interesting history, with much female involvement. It is calm and peaceful, and we enjoyed walking about the grounds outside as well. The gardens are especially inviting.

Absolutely amazing castle, some very nice & beautiful views, worth the ticket cost. Castle tour is very good, informative and helpful communication, Flowers not maintained well in the garden and looks really untidy and unattractive - need lots of TLC , worth of money because Easy to spend a whole day there, and standard tickets allow for free re-entry for the year.

One of the most scenic places in England, it's reputation is already well established. Quite easy to spend a full day here but wise to bring your own food. The castle tour is great and there is plenty to entertain children as well.

Really nice place to visit and such a variety of things to do and see. The reason I dropped it stars is we live a fair distance away and whilst if you can visit a few times in a year it offers value for money £95 for two adults and a child is a bit much. Loved the house/castle, maze and birds of prey displays. Well worth a visit if you can make it there a few times in a year.

You can see most of the grounds/exterior of the castle without paying the expensive entry fee of £32. Great views of the Castle exterior and beautiful grounds. Unbeknownst to me you can actually walk through the main entrance without paying or you can walk to the right of the main kiosk area and find a 5 minute walk along a pathway to enter the grounds that way (see photo for tip on this). Rated 4/5 stars as we didn't actually go in the castle 🤣

Never disappoints this place. They have rearranged the main building and you get more of a feel of the place. The grounds are beautiful and you can picnic just about anywhere. It IS pricey to get in now though. £32 with a paltry £1 off for students and seniors. Honestly that felt like an insult, why bother for a £1. The ticket does mean you can come back as many times as you like over the next year but unless you live local that's unlikely. So, as I say pricey if you can only go once. We enjoyed it but we are unlikely to get a ticket next year.

It is a very beautiful castle with grounds. There is a lovely Mediterranean theme garden. Lots of quite and peaceful places to sit in the garden. Kids play area for under 7 and older children. Archery, boat ride, land train, golf for kids etc. There are extra money for Such additional events. The food and drinks available are quality but pricey. I would advise people intending to visit to pack a lunch/snack so that the visit doesn't cause a dent to your budget. Picturesque locations wherever you turn your head. A bit busy during school holidays. There is also falconry and a maze and go ape within the compound. I beleive that one has to be a local resident to enjoy it all and try each of it in multiple occasions. I intend to pop in after I drop my kids at school for a walk every week.

We had a great day out at Leeds Castle. The trees are looking beautiful. We found a bench to sit on near the lake to eat our packed lunch. The jackdaws were very good company. The land train was working despite the fact it said it wasn't working on line.

The grounds are stunning, loved walking around the gardens and ponds. Don't take the train up or you'll miss it! The castle itself is a sight to behold. It's probably one of the better castles to visit in England. The property is huge, plan to spend a few hours. There's the grounds, the gardens, the lakes, the castle, the courtyard, the maze, the boat ride ... Etc. Should definitely be on your bucket list.

Visited the house for the Narnia experience. Castle and grounds stunning. Lots of water fowl and landscaped gardens. Castle was great - if a bit crowded due to the kids holidays. We stayed at the castle for our Wedding anniversary and got entry free - but a great venue.

I love visiting Leeds Castle and its stunning grounds. A beautiful Old English Castle and the tress are truly epic. Buying one ticket and having access all year is also a huge bonus, with the groundskeepers always up for a laugh. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys nature and the outdoors.

Wonderful experience at Leeds Castle, plenty of space for carpark. However, no dogs allowed. The ground is kept at a very high standard and plenty of ducks and other wildlife through out the grounds and garden of the castle. Highly recommended for a family outing, or looking for a place to chill and relax. 9/10

What an awesome place to visit for the whole family. All the staff are excellent and very helpful. The castle is set in a wonderful mix of open fields and gardens. This gives the option of walking around the open grounds, or sitting and relaxing in some of the beautiful garden areas. The castle itself is very well laid out and dressed in a way to show you the entire history of the site through the years. On top of that there is a maze ,crazy golf and a falconry area. There really is something for everyone, great day out.

A day trip with Woods coaches for a Christmas Lunch followed by the Narnia exposition in the castle. The food and the service were very good and the Narnia experience was fabulous. We left before the light show but that looked like it would be worth seeing.

A bit pricey but if you buy a ticket, it has a year worth of use so you can go back as many times as you want in that time. The birds of prey and the castle were so worth seeing. We had a hilarious moment in the maze where we thought we wouldn't be able to get out but thankfully made it to the grotto!

  • 5/5 Zel S. 2 years ago on Google
Everyone should go if you get the chance. The grounds are beautifully kept, the plants, flowers were beautiful in bloom. Loved the castle. Reading all about Lady Baillie, the former owner/ heiress. We stayed on the glamping site. Had a lovely barbecue, then after we went for a lovely walk around the grounds at night. The sun was setting and we got some great shots of the castle. When we got back we toasted marshmallows at the fire pit.

A wonderful attraction for all ages. There are acres of wonderfully manicured lawns. Get the children, or adults, to feed the ducks on the way to the castle. It has interactive exhibits & free audio tours. Then, walk to see the Falconry area, play on the artificial beach. Loose yourself in the maze, then grab a bite to eat. Your ticket gives you year-long access, so you can go again to see the bits you couldn't see the first time! Good value.

This is a stunning estate and very well managed. You pay for one day and get free entry for the next 12 months. The cafés are great and there is plenty to see and do. Great for the family and plenty of free parking

Beautiful grounds, polite staff, tasty food and drinks in the many cafés, educational, informative, excellent fun for all the family. Highly recommended! Can be pricey for a single ticket, but they are valid for unlimited visits for 12 months ☺️

Really enjoyed my day out here and ticket is valid for a year. Its a walk from the carpark to the house and gardens and if you can walk it , I recommend you do walk because its a lovely walk through the gardens if you can't walk so well there is s road train you can jump on. There is the castle itself, gardens , cafe , restraunt, shops , crazy golf , beach , maze , kids play area , boat rides , birds of pray on display and doing a performance at some time , it was 2pm when I went.

  • 4/5 Wendy G. 1 year ago on Google
Great family day out at a lovely castle in beautiful surroundings. We had fun getting lost in the maze, had a look at the birds of prey, enjoyed walking around the gardens, loved the grotto and also took the short boat trip across the water. The ticket is valid for a year and allows you to visit again so not bad value if you live quite near. There's lots to do for children and although my teenagers weren't with me today, they would have loved the kids' playground if they were a few years younger! I would recommend bringing a picnic as the food is a bit pricey. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars, is I think it's a bit cheeky to charge extra for the boat and road train trips.

Very interesting place to visit. I was lucky to visit the castle and the grounds during the jousting event. Castle itself is beautiful. Definitely recommend to borrow the audio guide. A lot of interesting option to do: maze, grotto, mini golf, adventure park, beach .. On bank holidays there were long queues to get in.

  • 5/5 Ismat A. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely stunning. We came down from London and had an amazing day despite the rain, the grounds are so beautiful and there is so much to see. The maze was the highlight, it was really fun and we ended up speaking to a few other people who got trapped in there. The ticket is an annual pass so we can’t wait to go back again. I even picked up a brochure for weddings, not that I’m getting married anytime soon.

Beautiful and well-preserved castle. Stunning interior. Alarms everywhere. It's definitely worth a visit. The premises are gorgeous too. Beautiful and well maintained gardens. After closing hours, when staying at the courtyard, you're allowed to wander around. Great. No people cluttering your photos. The best spot for sunset pictures is the golf court. But golfers will not be pleased if you wander there.

Superb castle & beautiful gardens situated in a majestic location- surrounded by a scenic moat. But...Outrageous entry fee (£35) at times of economic crises ! Visitors showed their approval...with their feet- not many there- in July- peak times ! TIP: if you travel by train- look online for '2for1' entry. Sooo glad we did...& didn't get our pockets burned...

Beautiful castle inside and out! It's lovely to walk around the grounds of the castle and feed the ducks and take in the scenery. Visited a few times and on this occasion was a Murder Mystery Dinner which was spectacular! We had a three course meal with complimentary prosecco. The actors were very good and we were non stop laughing the entire time. We also had a tour of the castle which was informative and great to see! Plenty of parking available and staff are so friendly, professional and helpful. Highly recommend the events Leeds Castle hold and for general visits too!

Leeds castle is a must visit for anyone wanting to absorb well kept history. The castle itself is beautiful with the moat and ponds giving a good sense of the extravagant life that was once lived there. Lady Baille who was the last private owner definitely had great taste and seeing the history of how well she treated the caretakers gives an appreciation of the lovely person she was. The grounds around the castle are vast and there are lots of exciting things for the kids. The castle also caters well for people with disabilities which is great.

One of my favourite places to visit. Great that one ticket gets you a year round visit. Stunning views and great weather we had. Love the gardens and the views fr afar of the castle. Pick a sunny day and you won't be disappointed. Great to see that the castle has switched it up a little and is moving with the times. They have a wonderful feature of all the women that have reigned at the castle and it was fantastic to see and read about it all. If you're looking for something to do for firework night too. I would highly recommend here as it's spectacular and this would be our 5th visit for fireworks. It doesn't get old.

Stunning vistas and lots to see and do ! Leeds Castle is breathtakingly beautiful 😍 There are play areas for children, a good choice of food & drink, gift shops and so much more. There's a maze and some cute little cottages that are available as b&bs. I highly recommend purchasing a yearly ticket which gives unlimited access for the year. There's always plenty to do with concerts and food festivals going on throughout the year. A family friendly place to visit
